Just negotiated a 2014 C250 sport sedan msrp of $43,155 for $36,500. I went with the 27 month 15k miles route with just 1st month, DMV fees, and acquisition fee at drive off for $418 per month. Pretty solid deal. As we get closer to the 2015 model release there might be a better deal to be had but I didn't want to wait and have to settle on options due to lack of inventory.

Hello kyfdx and other forum participants, Looking for the June MF and residual for a 2014 C300 sport, 27 months, 7,500 miles.
Also, the two I'm considering were the dealer's loaner vehicles so they have 5k-7k miles (which wouldn't count against my mileage). Does that impact the MF or residual, and any way to think about what the selling price should be other than looking at used vehicle pricing sites? Thanks!

.00089 and 70%.
If the loaners haven't been titled, you should be able to get a deduction in the sales price. How much? Maybe .10-.25 per mile, but that's just a guess on my part. It becomes part of the negotiation.
Does anyone know the spread between MSRP and Invoice for a 2014 C300? I heard in general MB's spread was 7%. However, the invoice numbers I'm receiving are higher than expected. For example, a car with an MSRP of 43,850 has an invoice around 41580. Do these invoice numbers sound correct?
Also, should I be asking dealers for MSRP as well as an offer price (either pre or post any lease incentives) as well as monthly payment? In my eyes, the math is the math if all the terms are agreed to and unchanged, but I had someone talking about residualizing in the maintenance plan. Maybe this is unique to MB?
Are you sure about that? It appears that the residuals are the same but the money factor has gone down to .00125. Here is a link with their latest advertisement. You can calculate the MF from the numbers in the fine print.

I received the following offer on a C250 Sport, 27 month lease with 10,000 miles:
Price - $37,925
Residual of $25,789 (should come out to 68%)
Price reduction of $4,784 bring the price of the vehicle to $33,141
Sales tax (estimated) of 2,061.77
Tags of $537
Service fee of $700
money factor of .00100 (this would be about 2.4%)
$2,000 initial payment includes tax, tags, title and first payment
This is my first time leasing so I appreciate the help. I used the Edmunds lease calculator but wanted to make sure I'm not missing anything and if there are any ways to reduce this monthly payments.

What state is this in? taxes are calculated up front in only a few states - IL, TX and I think GA. Everybody else taxes the payment.
you are getting a nice discount from MSRP, and the MF isn't marked up. What did the Edmunds lease calc come up with?
However, the monthly lease payments they've given me is $735 (I assume post-tax) with no cap cost reduction. Plugging in these numbers into my own calculator, I get $665 post-tax. Is this discrepancy right, or did I make a calculation error? Could the dealer be hiding costs elsewhere?

.00112 MF is correct, but I show 69% as the correct residual for 27mo, 12K on the coupe. 67% is for the C250 Sedan.
Using 67%, I get $611/mo.+tax, which agrees with your calculation.. At 69%, the payment drops to $576/mo.+tax.
You have the selling price, but ask for the net CAP cost. That may include acquisition fee ($795 base, but can be marked up to $1095), title/registration/doc fees, etc.. You are looking at a discrepancy of around $1700-$1800, with that difference in payment. Don't forget to ask about the residual percentage, as well.
Thank you for the response. I live in Florida. The Edmunds lease calculator came out to $463 per month. I'm not 100% sure I am calculating it right but I'm in the ballpark.
I'm pricing out either a C250 or a C350 it appears that depending on options I could get either pretty close to the same price. Could you prove MF and residual for both for 27/10k. Thanks!

C250 - .00101 and 68%
C350 - no 27 month program available on this model. 24/10 numbers: .00195-.00225 and 72%
I'd like to know if the lease I've been offered is a good one. It's for a C300 4MATIC sport sedan. MSRP of $46,860 w/ a negotiated purchase price of $41,000. The terms are 48 months w/ 12K per year. With putting $2K down, the monthly payment would be $460 based on a 55% residual and .00089 MF.

That's the residual for 36mo, 12K/yr, not 48 months.. 48 month residual is 51%.
They have a special 27 month lease with a 68% residual. 48 months is a long time to lease a vehicle.
@jason156 said:
What's wrong with leasing a car for 48 months? It will be under warranty the entire time and I'll prepay the maintenance and roll that into the lease.
Nothing wrong, just that the sweet spot for most makes is 36 months in terms of residual.
And I don't see how they could have used a residual value of 51% when I was told that the residual value was $25,725.67, which divided by $46,860 (the MSRP) equals .5489 aka a 55% residual value. So would you say I'm being offered a good deal?

The residual is set by the finance company and cannot be altered by the dealer. However, it is possible that the dealer is using a finance company other than MBFS, in which case different numbers for both residual and MF would apply. And, we wouldn't have any way to confirm them.
Using the MBFS numbers of .00089 and 51% with your MSRP and selling price, I get a pre-tax payment of $414.04 for 48 months.

Just leased a 2014 C250 coupe 3 weeks ago. 27 month lease, 10K a year, $43.685 MSRP. Lease is $237 a month with $2,500 up front including first payment. Scheduled maintenance also included in the lease. I used USAA incentive on the lease. Checked 3 other MB dealers and no one could come close.
