With an MSRP of $38,000, a net cap cost of $33,674, along with the .00066 MF and 55% residual for 36/12, I get a pre-tax payment of $390.85/mo. Not sure what the tax rate is where you live, but it would have to be awful high to take the payment to $449/mo.

If the accessories and maintenance are not part of the $33K cap number, then the pre-tax payment would increase about $25/mo - ($442 + $463) / 36

It's ultimately your decision whether or not to make a cap reduction.

At first they had my payment at $431.60 once they added maintenance it went up to $449.00

Oh, Georgia ... the 6.75% tax is applied to the entire purchase price, which substantially increases your payment. $449 is about right, given that fact.

All 2015 Odyssey have .00066 MF.. 57% residual for 36mo, 12K/yr applies to the LX, EX or EX-L. Higher trim lines have lower residuals.

MSRP is $38,255, right?

My calculations come within a few dollars of that, assuming the CAP cost is the same as the OTD price of $37,186.

Since you are buying out of state, are you certain that they've calculated the tax correctly? Do you pay tax on the full selling price for a lease in AR, or does AR tax the monthly payment?

Also, this is the $0 due at signing lease, right?

.00066 MF and 55% residual (EX-L NAV) or 52% residual (TE). $1000 dealer cash on either model.

It's the same program as last month, except for the $1000 dealer cash has been added.

I Leased the Honda Odyssey EX-L (No RES, No NAV, 12K Miles, 36 Month) this weekend from Tempe Honda for $355.96 with $1000 Down Payment Including Tax Tittle License. This was at least $1000 less than the best offer i got from other dealers.

My trick- Work with email only and let them compete with each other.. No Phones or direct showroom visits.

Went to near by showroom got the test drive. Then created a new email. Sent interest requesting quotes to all the dealers in the city (9 in my case) Never give your phone number or actual email. After getting the best quote send it back to all the dealers again with the best quote asking them if they beat it i will buy within a few days. Do this couple of times (May take you a week) and you will end up with 1 or 2 dealers with the best deal. Call them and tell them you are ready to buy if they can do any better.

I bet this might take a week but will save to 1000s of dollars.

After buying the minivan I emailed my final price to all the dealers and none of them believe that i got it for that price.

Live in N IN but find it easier to deal in Chicago. A dealer is advertising 2015 EXL $0 down $359/mos + taxes and fees. At first blush sounds good, but that "plus" part??? What are the current #s - mf, residuals, dealer incentives? Also how do accessories figure i - eg hitch, roof rack, etc Thanks!

Don't negotiate a payment ... negotiate a selling price as if you were buying. You should be able to do better than the advertised deal.

The two terms are interchangeable. Lease cash is a factory to dealer incentive that the deal can pass along, in whole or in part, to the customer.

Emailed local dealers in socal for 2015 Touring 36/15,0 down. Got a quote of 597/month payment from Sierra Honda. When I plugged in the numbers in the formula in this thread the price should have been 541. Will call dealer to clarify. Any one willing to share their numbers for 2015 Touring for Feb 2015? I need to know what a good quote is. I will post my numbers soon after dealer clarifies why the payment is off.

Using the base MF of .00066 with the numbers you've supplied, I get a payment of $603/mo with tax.

Ask the dealer what the net cap cost is, and how they arrived at that number from the selling price.

What is the MSRP and net cap cost? See the post above for a model payment in SoCal on the Touring.

15k miles

msrp was about 42k

added some dealer options (nitro in the tires?) and va tax to get to 44500

3500 trade in equity applied as cap cost reduction.

Hopefully I got it all!

I'm getting $590.28/mo with a $42K MSRP and $41K cap cost. Your quote of $573 looks pretty good by comparison.
