2015 Honda Civic Prices Paid And Buying Experience
You done good on the Honda Care warranty. I would never buy any extended warranty other than one from the manufacturer. I bought a Honda Care warranty from Saccucci in December when I got my new Honda.
Hello. Just want to thank all who contribute here this is a great resource. May I request the following?
Southern California Lease numbers for: 2015 Honda Civic EX Money Factor and Residuals for 2 scenarios 12k/ 36 months 15k/36 months
Also Did I read that "Top Tier" Credit for Honda Financial starts at 660? Can anyone confirm this?
thanks, j-
.00030 MF and 60%/58% residual (assuming sedan). $1000 lease cash
660+ is correct.
KYFDX-
Thanks for the assistance do you happen to know what the Honda Financial Acquisition fee is for a So Cal leases? I had a couple of dealers tell me it was $880 and and others quote it as $595? Anyone know what it is for sure?
Also, anyone familiar with Grad Rebate is the "5% down" requirement calculated off the MSRP or the Gross Cap Cost?
With regards to the Honda Loyalty Rebate how in depth do they get as far as due diligence on wether the car being used to qualify is actually registered at the buyers home address? ( sister has qualifying car but lives in LA and I am purchasing in OC.

This forum was extremely helpful in gauging what others have actually paid. Emailed about 12 dealers (Internet Sales) in the area, and prices from Edmunds Promise were the absolute best! Found prices on Truecar to be on the higher side, and thankfully this forum confirmed that. Selected and focused on a couple of them from there on. Ones that gave a great price: Huggins (final choice) and Autonation Lewisville.

Thanks to all in the forum... Your posts and info helped me to get a pretty decent deal yesterday. I just bought a Civix EX for my son (Dyno blue) automatic, with decent features (push to start, moonroof, nice rims) which had a window sticker of 22,010 here in TX. I went in to the dealer first to see the car and talk with the sales staff to see what the deal would be. After getting the initial offer of 20,833 OTD I knew that I would be able to work with them. I called the dealer from home three hours later and made an offer of 19,500 OTD and an hour later I got a call back Accepting my price. This price included 500 rebate for being a military retiree. i didn't get anything extra like an extended warranty or any other accessories. I will buy an extended warranty at Sarcucci Honda for much less. Also parts are heavily discounted at the Honda Superstore online. Didn't care with the particulars, just a price I thought was decent according to postings here. If I got it for 19.5 imagine what an LX would be like OTD. The dealer was Fernandez in San Antonio TX; my sales guy was Michael Esteves. Friendliest and nicest people. No pressure and very professional.
stay away from Buena Park Honda. bait and switch tactics spent two whole afternoons big waste of time. Experience of 682 and they come back with a money factor of .0025 after I told them before I even came in i new I qualified for .0003 with above a 660. They showed me a rate sheet that was complete BS. I need to find out a stand up SoCal Honda dealer that will stand by what they promise over the phone so done wasting time with these guys. Any advice?

Lots and lots of Honda dealers in SoCal to choose from. Read through the Accord and CR-V forums to see what dealers others have been using.
The So. California market has been ruined. Too many stores in a given area. Brutal competition and shoppers who play store against store trying to save a couple of dollars.
It appears that the stores simply don't care about repeat and referral business or survey scores.
I decided to check some of the Yelp reviews and Buena Park Honda looks very favorable. Then named some salespeople by name so you might want to speak with one of those people.
There is another Honda Store close by that scored much worse.
Gardena Honda used to have a good reputation and a few years ago I steered a family friend there and she had a good experience.
It's been quite a few years since I moved out of So. Calif but I certainly remember some of the experiences I had buying cars.
I purchased a 2015 Honda Civic SE sedan CVT for $17,000 (incl delivery) + TTL on June 30th. No extras. 4-Year financing at .9% interest. How is this price? (I had a tight timeline to buy a new car as my previous 11-year-old car died unexpectedly.)

I think you did very well since the delivery charge is part of the $17K. What's the difference between the SE and LX, is it just the temperature control thing? Dealership didn't have any SE's when I went yesterday. I initially wanted a Civic, but made the mistake of driving the Accord and now can't make up my mind. I love the savings of the Civic and the small size, but I love how the Accord drives, pretty close to my VW Golf. Can you comment on the drive?
The SE is slotted between the LX and EX. It has a number of upgrades, but I think the most significant is the 7" touch screen that complements the bluetooth feature beautifully and is great for music, phone calls, and the rear camera when backing up. The car also has a camera on the passenger side mirror to capture that blindspot whenver you signal right.

This is what I was quoted for a 2015 LX: $17,990 Freight (destination fee): $820 Processing fee: $585 Tax: 4.2% (are processing fees and freight taxable?) Tag and Title: $102.5 App. Pack: $595 (wheel locks, mud guard, pin stripe, nitro filled tires) I told the salesman I was paying for any of this, he said that I didn't have a choice and that every car that comes in has to be fitted with the above items, so I asked if it were possible to remove them, he said no. I wasn't ready to buy on that day so I let it go, but I won't pay for a forced app pack when I actually buy the car.

Those are horrible prices. You should be able to get an EX for those numbers. You actually should be able to get an EX for $400 less than those prices. Look at my numbers from the post just above yours on the EX I recently bought.

I know, the numbers are from the beginning of the negotiation process and I wasn't ready to buy, I just wanted to test drive the car so I played along.
Just wanted to provide an update and hopefully help someone with their future purchase. Just purchased the 2015 EX-L No NAV Sedan for an OTD price of 21,796.63 at Tarrytown Honda in NY. They were extremely easy to work with and professional.
I've been waiting for about a year to buy a car and finally decided on the 2015 Civic EX-L, no navi. Originally thought about an LX then and EX, but since the new 2016 is coming out it seems I can get a good price for the EX-L.
Anyway, used Edmunds Price Promise and have been discussing prices via email only, for now. Lowest offer:
Price: $19,445 Tax (LA County): $1759.86 DMV: $198 (I think this should be $30 higher) Flat Add/County Fee: $10 Electronic Filing: $29 Smog Abatement Fee: $20 Documentation: $80

Congrats! What is the MSRP on that model?
Hi! The MSRP is $23,360. Three other dealerships said they could do better, but they want me to come in. BF says I should wait until September-October, he thinks I can get a lower price.

It looks good to me, but it wouldn't hurt to check other dealerships. Not the ones that won't give you a price without "coming in", though.
Are there a lot of EX-L models in inventory? I wouldn't think so... waiting is okay, but you might have less to pick from.
just bought a Civic EX yesterday just Edmunds Price Promise NY: selling price:18662 +TTL. visited 2 more dealers around and no one can even match this price.
Hi guys, I would like your help I just got offer for civic ex: Mf 0.00300 Residue value 12545 Sell price 20013 Msrp 22010 10k mileage Monthly 199 Tax first bank dmv, total 1567 But out 13206 Is it good deal? N.Y. btw Why in honda we need to oil change our self? Thanks for your help
San Antonio, Texas Today I went to my local Benson Honda dealership to look and test drive a 2015 Honda Civic EX sedan. The salesman was ok not great...anyways I told him I would be interested for the right price which would be $19K he said that sounds reasonable and he would get with his manager and call me back. I told him I would like to test drive it at night. I called 3 hours later to ask for an update (left a voicemail). Went back to test drive at night with a different salesman. The manager was unpleasant and saying for $19K I can get an LX ...Being pushy. I said I'm not interested in an LX. He gave me an invoice of $789 higher then was agreed on. Invoice reads as: Market Value $23,489.95 Discount $3700 adjusted price $19789.95 doc fee $125 tax $1236.87 non tax fees $181.79 net price $21333.61
Any advice on how to negotiate better would be great. Again this would be a full payment purchase no financing. I will walk if I don't get the price I was told is reasonable.
Today I bought a 2015 Honda Civic EX Sedan has the pin stripe. Modern Metallic color beautiful included window tint, truck tray, and all weather floor mats. Out the door $20,300 Im sooo happy!

First post here. I hope it is useful for other buyers as I no longer need it.
I recently researched Internet pricing on 2015 Civic Sedan LX CVT's for the SF Bay Area and Central Valley. I also did phone/email quotes and tried negotiating with a few salespeople on the floor. The MSRP for this trim is $20,110 (including destination) and per Edmunds, the invoice is $18,754.
I mainly used Edmunds quoting tool and a few similar sites but found that MANY dealers made substantially better offers independently once they obtained my email address. In other words, these dealers used Edmunds as a lead generator but wanted to circumvent the kickback fee.
Quoted prices include destination but not TTL or other fees.
Price / number of dealerships in this range 15500-15999 / 3 16000-16499 / 2 16500-16999 / 8 17000-17499 / 5 17500-17999 / 3 18000+ / 4 (lol)
In the 15's, I found that there was very little ability to negotiate further but that the quote was still a very useful starting point. In the 16's and 17's, some of the dealers were willing to play ball but there was a lot of "come in and talk to me" rather than directly matching the lowest quotes.
This research confirms a couple fairly recent posts about OTD pricing in the Bay Area for LX's being in the low-to-mid 17,000's. The OTD range is largely county-dependent due to the range of sales tax rates in NorCal, anywhere between 7.5% and 9.5%.
I would guess that the price range may move lower as Labor Day approaches and dealers are forced to quickly move inventory but selection may be sub-par.
Price / number of dealerships in this range 15500-15999 / 3 16000-16499 / 2
do you mind sharing me the dealerships that quoted you civic in the 15k ranges? I have pinged every dealer within 50 mile radius of south bay and the best I got was low 17k range..
Helped a friend got her 2015 Honda Civic SE last weekend for $16,2XX, after tax was almost 18.5K. This is So. Cal (Riverside), hope this info helps others.
I bought 2015 Honda Civic EX-L Sedan for $19400+Doc fee $75+TTL = OTD 21250. Is this a good deal? I bought from DCH Honda of Nanuet NY (Sales person: David Murphy).
Whats the best sale price for 2015 Honda Civic LX in NY (excluding Tax and DMV fees). ? I see asmanikabutar got it for 16,150 in CA. how about in NY, anybody bought or planning to buy in NY on labor day?

Thanks for the assistance do you happen to know what the Honda Financial Acquisition fee is for a So Cal leases? I had a couple of dealers tell me it was $880 and and others quote it as $595? Anyone know what it is for sure?
Also, anyone familiar with Grad Rebate is the "5% down" requirement calculated off the MSRP or the Gross Cap Cost?
With regards to the Honda Loyalty Rebate how in depth do they get as far as due diligence on wether the car being used to qualify is actually registered at the buyers home address? ( sister has qualifying car but lives in LA and I am purchasing in OC.
thanks
No idea on the rebates.

Paid: $18,685 for the car.
$499 doc fee.
$200 for accessories (mud guards, pin stripe, wheel locks, I think that was all the extras)
Those should be the only numbers that matter. Tennessee taxes were about $1,300 but that shouldn't matter to the forum.
$17,990
Freight (destination fee): $820
Processing fee: $585
Tax: 4.2% (are processing fees and freight taxable?)

Did the price you paid include destination?
Hoping to get your thoughts and expertise on the best quote I’ve received so far:
2015 Honda Civic EX-L Sedan, no navi
MSRP $23,660
Quoted price:$19,700 (includes Destination $820)
Doc Fee (NY): $75
Plus 8.625% Sales Tax: ~$1,700
Hoping for an OTD price of around $21.2k
Is this an aggressive price or should I be aiming lower?
Breakdown as follows:
Price:$19,700 (includes Destination $820)
Doc Fee (NY): $75
Plus 8.625% Sales Tax: $1,699.13
DMV: $300
Tire Tax $12.50
Inspection Fee: $10
Good luck all.
Anyway, used Edmunds Price Promise and have been discussing prices via email only, for now. Lowest offer:
Price: $19,445
Tax (LA County): $1759.86
DMV: $198 (I think this should be $30 higher)
Flat Add/County Fee: $10
Electronic Filing: $29
Smog Abatement Fee: $20
Documentation: $80
Total: $21,570.86
