hi, i am considering a 36 mo. 12k mi/yr lease on a 2016 Odyssey Touring. Could you please provide numbers for what should expect for the key variables (MF, residual, incentives, etc.) and for the monthly payment assuming $0 down? i live in zip code 10580. thanks very much in advance for your help.

Would need to know the MSRP and net cap cost in order to model a payment.

Not sure why this discussion got hijacked with discussion about 2016 lease numbers; I am in the market for 2015 Touring / Touring Elite; can you please confirm the lease numbers for 75024 zip code.

Also with MSRP 42030, sale price of 35800 and assuming a residual of 50%, will I not come out better in buying the van at the end of the lease. One of the reason, I am considering leasing now (which I have never done before) is reduce my monthly payments for the first 3 years and financing the residual car value at the end of the lease.

The numbers were very helpful this evening but I was surprised to know that in Texas, the rental value is calculated based on the OTD price that includes the sales tax on the full sale price of the 2015 Touring which I was able to negotiate for $36,500 including some dealer added accessories (that add up to $1399 ).

Is it true that about Texas law in calculating the rental value based on the full tax or OTD price?

That's correct.. It's onerous.

Lease cash won't be subtracted from your negotiated price, as it's a dealer incentive.

Hello, I'm completely new to this thread, but am in the market for a 2016 Honda Odyssey EL-X. That being said, we're trading in our Nissian Pathfinder (2013, lease doesn't end until 9/2016, but we're currently at mileage). So we went in today, they offered us to trade it in, $3000.00 down and payment of 459.00 on a 2016 12/36. We're in NJ. What information should I be asking they for before making decisions?

You need to negotiate the selling price, just as if you were buying the car.

I would also ask the dealer for the specific numbers on the trade - what is the payoff, and what they are giving you in trade.

The lease numbers on the Odyssey EX-L are 57% and .00049. $500 lease cash.

2015 - 48% and .00165.
2016 - 52% and .00049. $500 lease cash.

Same numbers for Touring or Touring Elite.

These are the new national numbers for November.

Down payment size does not affect them.

Also keep in mind to include an extra $599 acquisition fee and potentially $350 exit fee at the end of your lease if not getting another Honda. I had to factor these into my buy vs lease comparisons as they're not talked about too often until you're ready to sign the paperwork.

Honda doesn't support 18K leases ... 36/15 numbers are 55% and .00049. $500 lease cash.

Extra miles can probably be bought up front, for .10-.25 per mile, deducted from the calculated residual
