Hello,

I was hoping someone could tell me if the money factor and residual figures for 2016 Audi S4 Premium Plus models have been released by Audi? I currently have a 2016 S4 arriving at the dealership that I had on order and would like to know the money factor and residual figures before negotiating the lease terms with the dealership. Thank you!

Thank you very much for the information. I was actually debating between 10k and 12k miles for 36mo (should have mentioned in original post), could you tell me how that would affect the MF and residuals?

Add 2% for 12K and 3% for 10K. MF stays the same.

Would I add 1% for 7.5K miles per year? So, it would be 0.00122 MF and 59% residual?

Add 1% to the 10K residual for 7.5K miles per year, yes. MF stays the same at .00122

Just wondering if anyone has any insight into the 2016 incentives on the S4. Do the 2016 models qualify for the $750 Summer of Audi Sales Event incentive. I don't see the 2016MY listed on the Audi promotions website, but I don't know if that is because the website hasn't been updated with the latest models, or if the 2016's are specifically excluded.

Also, I'm assuming the lease rates haven't changed since earlier in the month...but please correct me if I'm wrong about that.

We don't have any incentive information .. use the "Car Research" tab at the top of the page to link to the Edmunds' info.

No change to the rates since the beginning of July.

Hi all - I'm considering leasing an S4. I went for a test drive today and got the initial numbers from the dealership. No negotiations yet, but the dealer seems to be no-BS, and openly said they'd adjust the numbers as needed. This would be my first Audi, so I am not sure on the "normal" numbers I can expect. I have an E92 M3 that they are also offering to buy out; details on everything below.

I'd appreciate any feedback on the numbers below, and how much lower you think I can expect to get a deal for.

    -2016 Audi S4 Prem+
    -Daytona Grey
    -Tech Package
    -Black Optic Package
    -Fine Nappa leather package
    -Quattro sports diff
    -Carbon Atlas inlay
    -Audi Guard protection kit
    -SC badges

    -MSRP - $58,590.00
-Purchase Price - $54,642 was agreed over e-mail ($250 above invoice). This is what I got my M3 for. Is this good for an S4?
-Incentives - $750 for being a BMW customer. Anything else I should be aware of here?
-Residual - 59% for 36/mo and 55% for 42/mo. The 42 mo lease sounds appealing; what are the downsides vs the 36/mo?
-Money factor - ?? Not sure, hoping someone here can provide the current info on MF for August 2015. Anyone know the credit score "zones" for qualifying MFs? I recently moved and had some huge medical bills, so am currently carrying a couple thousand more on the credit cards (normally pay down to 0 every month). I just started working again, so those will be paid off in just a month or two. My CapitalOne app has my credit score at 725 right now; it was 780+ back when I got the M3. The decline is simply the current balances held.
-Tax Rate - 7.85% in my home county
    - Doc fee - $495
    - Fees $37.20

    2013 BMW E92 M3
    - 16,700 miles (3yr/10,000/yr)
    - 3 more payments of $907.73/mo (last payment in Nov)
    - Buyout: $48,812.28
    - Audi dealer offered to buyout @ $47,000. I plan on asking them to cover the entire BO price, so the last payments aren't rolled into my new deal.
    - MSDs: I put two MSDs down on the M3, to lower the money factor. My buyout quote subtracts these from the original buyout price, lowering it about $2,000. I assume this is normal and the MSDs are just paid to BMWFS then, instead of me getting them back, if I were to ride out the lease?

Thanks in advance for any info on this. I look forward to having my first Audi in the garage!

    2016 S4 Premium Plus:
    36/10 - .00137 and 58%
    42/10 - .00157 and 54%

We don't have the credit score values for the different MF, but I suspect that a 725 score will get you the best MF.

Use the "Car Research" tab at the top of the page to link to current customer incentives.

You should get the MSD monies back from BMWFS; it may be that the Audi dealer is "taking" that money and applying it to the new deal. I would call BMWFS and get an exact payoff amount. Also, head over to the "Real World Trade in Values" discussion here to get an honest appraisal of your M3.

Thanks for the info, Michaell - very much appreciated.

Here's the "final" quote I am working on. Everything seem OK? They are buying out the current lease 100% and I've contacted BMWFS to determine how the MSDs will be returned to me.

    - MSRP: $59,1745.00
    - Cap Cost Reduction/Savings: $2597.75
    - Money Factor: .00137 - 42/7.5K
    - Rebate: $750
    - Cap Cost: $55,872.25
    - Dealer/State Fees: $502.20 ($7.20 State Fee and $495 Doc & Lease Acq Fee)
    - Aftermarkets: Left blank on this sheet, but should include Audi Care @ $829. Was told they would add this when I came to sign...not sure how it's factored in (monthly payments or paid in drive-off fees)
    - Customer Cash: $1,000 (Asked to put $0 down, but said this was to cover the reg/lease fees, as well as the Audi care. I think this is to cover the $502.20 (dealer/state fees) + $829 AudiCare = $1,331.20, minus $750 incentive = $581.20
    - Drive Off: $481.53 - not sure why this and the above number ($581.20) don't match?

I've emailed and asked for clarification on the Customer Cash and Drive Off differences. I think the $1,000 may have been a place-holder they put in there on the initial bids, as they weren't sure what the drive-offs would be with AudiCare.

I currently have a deal for a base s4, my lease structure is as follows i am getting 7500 miles per year on a 36 month lease, all im paying out of pocket is the first months payment and dmv fees, they are also eating my two payments on my mercedes e350 which all together comes out to 1000. They gave me 663 a month. Just wondering if that is a good deal considering the car is base?

Premium Plus? Those are the correct numbers.

I get $754/mo.+tax, so pretty close.. Less than 4% off MSRP doesn't seem so good. 6% off is usually considered a good deal on a new Audi. $1300 more off would be $38/mo.+tax less on the payment.

This is a pretty phenomenal site that gives us mere mortals visibility to leasing which has been all smoke and mirrors for me in the past. Thank you for keeping current with this.

I'm looking at an S4 prestige:

    MSRP: 59340
    Sale Price: 56731
    with AudiCare
    Residual - 30,856,80 for 36 month
    28,483.20 for 42 months
    I asked for both a 36 mo and 42 mo /15K
Giving me a MF of .00149 and .00169 respectively
I asked if that was the base MF and he responds that the base is .0003 less on both for A++ credit, which I don't have at the moment...so

    Am I missing something

    Saying $1600 down:

    892+tax for 36mo/15k
    853+tax for 42mo/15k

The sale price is $1000 over invoice (per sales person).

I also asked about taking advantage of MSD and he says Audi doesn't do that. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks in advance and I'll plug in the outstanding numbers when I receive them.

Base numbers for 2016 S4 Prestige (with top tier credit - tier A)

    36/15 - .00119 and 51%
    42/15 - .00139 and 47%

FWIW, S4 Premium Plus numbers are 3% better, which will help on your payment.

Add 1% to the residual for AudiCare.

Tier B (don't know what credit score that is), adds .0004 to the above numbers.

So, either the dealer is inflating the MF on you and you do have top tier credit, or they don't know how to mark up the MF for tier B. Something for you to look into ...

Running the numbers you've provided (and using the base MF and AudiCare adjusted residuals), I get the following $0 down pre-tax payments:

    36/15 - $823/mo + tax
    42/15 - $791/mo + tax

Adding the .0004 to the MF changes the payments to $858 / $825

What does the $1600 represent? Bank fee, first payment, dealer fee, etc?

As far as we know, Audi does have an MSD program ... up to 9, each of which lowers the MF by .00005

Michael, thanks for the quick response and explanation providing some clarity on this. The $1600 is money down I will get clarification on this but I agree with you on the trim level, where a premium plus would work perfectly. I just want the B&O audio, nav, really. don't need the adaptive cruise control or rear sun shade. I will continue to look around.

Hi Michael, please take a look at this one. I ran the calculations through the edmunds lease calculator and come up with different numbers for monthly payment. What am I missing here? Theirs is $805 while mine came up with 780. If you can clarify the numbers for me, it would help. Don't know if I'd be getting a decent deal here.

I get what the dealer gets .. within a few pennies, that is.

Can't help you with your calculations - I built my own spreadsheet. On-line calculators often make assumptions we know nothing about.

I asked for 0 down but was told the best they can do is $1350 out the door, which was first month's payment and dealer fees, etc.

Originally we had reached a price of $53,525 and dealer quoted me $723 + tax for 36/12 lease and $704 + tax for 42/12 lease.

Does that sound right? When I calculated myself I got $691 and $676.

I'm not sure where Audi care plan cost fits into this, we used the extra 1% residual.

I'm going to recalculate based on the new price of $52,100, but overall what do you think of this deal?

I don't feel I can do much better.

    Thanks.

Premium Plus or Prestige? 3% difference in residual. And yes, add 1% for AudiCare.

MF is .00119 for 36 months or .00139 for 42 months.

You can probably roll the fees and such into the cap cost, but the MF will increase as a result. Better to pay it up front.

10% off sticker seems to be a good discount...but, need to know the net cap cost in order to figure the payment.

Residuals for 24 months are just 7% higher than the 36 month residuals. Payments will be much higher.

I would appreciate lease figures for a 2016 Premium Plus S4 for 7.5K & 10K miles over 36 and 42 months terms. What are the current MF and residual? Thanks!

Is this deal any good? 2016 s4 Prem Plus

    MSRP $59,599.00
    Selling Price $54,150.00
    Residual $29,621.00
    Term 42

Payment = 720.00 (out the door, tax paid for by dealer)

    Payment w/ Audi Care, w/Brake Replacement, and w/ Road Hazard = $80 Extra/mo

    Payment w/ Above extras = 800.00

Live in Texas so full taxes at 6.25%, Dealer used tax credit to buy tax down, but most likely increased my MF as they make more on this side. Since they have discretion on when and where they apply use tax credit, it looks like just a different place to "squeeze" deal. i.e. They are trading their tax credit token in for higher MF, but it doesn't seem that I can get the best of both worlds, by making them 1. pay the taxes and 2. have a low MF. Thoughts?

Also are the add-on's for 80 per month worth it or not? Just doing the calculations, it appears that Audi Care is, as the dealer maintenance is about equal to it over a 42 month lease. Also Breaks and Tires I thought weren't a bad add as both are expensive and fall outside of Audi Care. Thoughts?

S4 Premium Plus is .00084 and 49% for 42/15. Add 1% for AudiCare.

Not sure what discretion the dealers have with regards to tax credits in Texas.

Leaving tax out of the equation, I get $664/mo with your numbers and the base MF. If I add 6.25% tax to the selling price, the payment jumps to $747/mo. AudiCare brings the payments down to $650 and $734, respectively.

$2511 for the brake and tire warranties is an awful lot of money, which I doubt you'll get the value from. (42*80) - $849 for AudiCare.

But, I don't know how you plan to drive the car; it's possible that you'll go through a set of tires in the 42 months - how much is a replacement set?

Same with brakes - talk to the service advisor at the Audi dealer to find out how much a brake job is.

Unfortunately the brake job at dealership w/ OEM parts - is super expensive, $1850ish give or take for FULL brake job. People saying it happens around 25-35k. Plus Audi OEM pads have a lot of metallic particles (the reason for heavy brake dust) and they wear out the rotors rather quickly.

Dallas is known for unusually terrible streets around where I live - Potholes, constant construction, etc. So you are almost for sure having to replace at least 2 tires (very conservative) in 3.5 years, and maybe more in reality. 400 per tire and your at 800.

2511 - 800(tires) - 1850(brake job) = -139. Figured it was unfortunately worth it but it still not pumped about the extra 60 bucks per month. Thoughts?

Road hazard protection isn't going to pay for new tires, if you wear yours out..

I've been driving my current car with 18" summer tires and 17" winter tires for six years, and have had exactly one tire failure.... on a winter tire that was already on its last month of use.

$60 X 36 months = $2160. If you pay that much, you'll be hoping for tire and brake failures... that's no way to go..
