Thanks for reporting in. Congrats on the new Civic!
I'm looking to buy a Civic LX or EX CVT in the NY/Tristate area. Does anyone have any information on what kind of deals are available? Korti72 got an LX with sensing in DC for what seems to be $1,700 below invoice...is this true or am I calculating something wrong? Wondering what I should expect to pay below invoice around here ($18,908 LX or $20,389 EX w/dest).
$1,700 below invoice for a Honda in NOVA is "normal". It's less "normal" in NY. Worth trying for though, even if you have to settle for a bit less of a deal.
Odysseys are going for $3,000 below invoice in DC, but they are new like the Civic nor are they getting a lot of good press like the Civic. So even though it feels like overall car demand may be easing a little bit, that's not the case with the Civic.
Do you guys think more money off of invoice could be had on an LX or EX or would the deal be about the same? Still trying to hone in on the model/color before sending my emails out. Also, anyone in the tristate area with deals to share? I've heard New Rochelle Honda and Yonkers Honda are good dealers to check with high volume.

I just picked up my new EX-T from Honda of New Rochelle. Had a great experience, they didnt push me to add accessories, warranties, or anything that I didn't need.
Tarrytown was also very competitive on price (I leased my Civic) right out of the gate. New Roc is more convenient and I have family that have (still do) lease with them. Communication with Tarrytown was also very easy and they weren't pushy either. Some other dealers in the Westchester/Lower CT area... I can't say the same for.
Here are the numbers from my lease of the Sedan EX-T from Honda of New Rochelle outside of NYC. 12,000 miles/36 month lease: $219/mo w/ $1000 at signing + DMV
Well aware that general wisdom is to put $0 down, but this structure works for me and as a first time car leaser/buyer, putting something down helped my approval odds as far as I can tell (I don't have a co-signor).
This dealership was very easy to work with (I randomly got one of their senior sales people when I walked into the dealer for test drive). Probably spent no more than 2 hours at the dealership for my test drive, signing papers, and picking up the car (I had to go back for to get my car and sign the lease agreement as it was a dealer trade for the color I wanted).

Covering fees and taxes upfront is is perfectly OK on a lease, it's just the $181 of capitalized cost reduction that we suggest you avoid. My guess is that amount made your total cash out-of-pocket a nice round number.
Torn between two cars - wondering what the best price (in Georgia) one could get on the Honda Civic with Navi is, or would I be looking at MSRP. This would be cash, no financing.

The all-new 2016 Civic is a hot selling car right now. Discounts are available, but they won't be as high as on the Accord.
Both of these are great cars. I looked at both myself. You can't go wrong.
But one difference to literally look for is rear visibility. The Accord has excellent rear visibility, while the Civic is only so-so because of the swoopy styling.
Another difference is that the Civic with the turbo will be a little faster than the Accord with the 4-cylinder.
Cash doesn't talk and I wouldn't focus on that as you negotiate. Dealers make money putting loans together and you may do better financing and paying off the loan a couple of weeks later.

EX-T? That's a new one on me. Invoice is $21,463 and the True Market Value average price paid for Detroit is $22,040 (all numbers include the $835 destination).
So you beat invoice by ~$800 and beat the TMV handily. And your doc fees weren't too bad.
