I am currently looking at leasing a 300s 4dr Sdn AWD. The MSRP is $42,260 and the negotiated price I have is $39,252. It is at $345 a month and 1200 down for 36 months. The residual value is $20,707.40 but not sure about the residual % and I asked for the money factor but he said he did not know. I am looking for the info in MI. Trying to figure out if I am getting a good deal.

.00016 is the MF, and the 36/15 residual is 55%. Lower miles will result in a higher residual percentage.

Sorry! I forget to mention my miles which is 12k. I am assuming that would make it a 50% residual? Also they had about $9000 in lease rebates. I keep trying to try to formulate it but always get a really high number.

My guess is that with the large rebates this is a lease through Ally or US Bank. we don't have their numbers to confirm what the dealer is telling you.

12k residual is 2% higher than 15K

No. Ally lease numbers are very different to account for the high incentives. We don't have those numbers to validate.

RWD or AWD?

Ally is just a different bank. Same process.

Neither 39 or 42 month numbers are viable.

Thank you for the info kyfdx! I have a few more questions...

1. So if the MF is .00010 to get the percentage multiply by 2400 correct? That is coming out to .24%. So Chrysler's interest rate/MF is less than 1% on the 300s? It just seems to strange to see that...

2. Does Chrysler have an acquisition fee and if so, what is it? And if there is one, its taxable correct?

3. Since we are in TX, we have to apply sales tax to the entire cost of the car. Do I apply that to the negotiated price of the car, or do I take out the incentives ($4200) and then calculate the sales tax based on that?

I am calculating the offer for the 2016 Chrysler 300s for my dad...36/10 lease. We are going to offer $41,060 and then it has $4200 in incentives that he qualifies for. MSRP (inc dest fee) is $43,545 so the residual would be $25,691.55. I'm just not sure where to put the acquisition fee if there is one. I've seen posts on here where the mods mention a lease calculation spreadsheet (in excel) but I scoured posts all last night and can't find any posts where it is included. Are you aware of this spreadsheet or where I can find it? It would sure make calculating this much easier. Plus being in Texas, most lease calculators don't put the tax on the top, where we have to apply it.

I just thought of another question...

He has a 300s to trade in, and its paid off. I told him to not put any money down on the lease, in case it is totaled. But I was reading last night about paying certain parts of a lease up front in cash so they are not taxable. Is there any part of a lease in TX that he should pay with cash to save money? And if he is not trading his car in toward the lease and applying the cash, he loses the trade in value right? Or does he still get a tax savings for the equity of the vehicle?

1. Yes, .00010 equates to .24%. Almost free money
2. $595 acquisition fee. I don't believe it is taxable
3. I believe it is on the negotiated price of the vehicle, before incentives. And, you pay sales tax on the incentives as well.

You can have the dealer cut you a check for the equity in the trade in - it does make sense to pay the acquisition fee, dealer fee and taxes up front, so as not to subject them to the (very low) MF.

I don't know the tax implications in Texas for a trade in on a vehicle to be leased - you might check the website of the Texas Department of Revenue.

There are some amazing rebates this month for the 300s and dealers are trying to push these. I was able to get over 14,000 off MSRP with dealer discounts and rebates.
