Hello,

I was wondering what the September lease rates / MF look like for a 2017 S550 Cabriolet (10k and 12k)?

I was also wondering if 5% off MSRP would be doable on a $160k'ish configuration?

No clue on selling prices.

Just wondering since that's a big difference from .002/.0022.

36 months is the sweet spot.

No information on how tax credits work in TX - could be at the dealer discretion.

May I ask why you think that 36 months is the sweet spot if 52% residual at 36 months gives a 1.33% per month depreciation while 43% residual at 48 months gives a 1.18% depreciation per month? Thanks.

Actual depreciation is CAP cost minus residual, not MSRP minus residual.
Theoretically, if CAP cost is 90% of MSRP, then those numbers would be much closer. (1.05 vs. .98)

Generally, when looking for a sweet spot, we don't recommend anything over 42 months (and preferably less). Long term leases come with their own issues (maintenance, tire replacement, warranty expiration, change of driving needs, etc) that make them less desirable.

Reason I'm thinking 48 mo is for exactly those reasons.....
maintenance on the S is 4 year/50k, and I'll be doing a 4 year/40k lease. Also, in Texas the tax is paid on the sale price, so close to 6k......so will be capitalizing that over 48 months...rather than over 36 months and also repaying the 6k tax when I re-lease another car in 2020 rather than in 2019.......

Those are good points. Texas taxes help your case. $1500 for a set of tires might change your calculations, though.

Standard MF and 48% residual.

I would guess that all S-Class sedans should sell with a significant discount, but to be honest, I don't shop in that price range.

Standard MF and 50%/43% residual for 36/48 mo, 7.5K/yr
Subtract 1% for 10K/yr.

I can't verify the standard money factor. If I had to guess, that's marked up a little bit, but I'm just guessing that the base number is around .00220
