Can someone help me understand where I might be doing the math wrong please?
Spoke with the dealer (NY) and was given the following info:

SEL 4motion 36/10k
.00090 and 57%

I was quoted 522.15/mo but also given a price of 41,395 and (not that I'm complaining) I feel like the monthly payment should be higher. No money down, just tax and title at signing. Am I being 'taken for a ride'?

Is the $41,395 the selling price?

What is the MSRP, and the adjusted cap cost, associated with that quote.

Without the details, it's hard to say what the truth is.

With those numbers, I too get $440/mo

Ask the dealer for the "adjusted" cap cost, and a full accounting of how they arrived at that number from the "total price".

With those numbers, I too get $440/mo Ask the dealer for the "adjusted" cap cost, and a full accounting of how they arrived at that number from the "total price".

HI,

I'm at the dealership, I picked up an Atlas SE w/Tech FWD with MSRP of $38735 and selling price $33385

The manager is saying that in order for them to be able to sell at this price, they need to use a money factor of 0.00165, or otherwise add $2500 to the the selling price if I want to use money factor .0004.

He says this is a condition from VW for them to be able to get the incentive and pass the discount to me. Is there something like that?

Tax rate is 8%, documentation fee is $899, and electronic fee is $75.

In other words, they won't really sell you the vehicle at that price, using the base money factor. "We were just kidding about giving you a great deal".

To be clear.. yes, they get more money from VW, if they markup the money factor.
