Thanks for the help previously. Does the MF on a Sorento 2017 change based on what dollar amount you put down? Is zero down a different rate than $3000?

I think the rates changed starting November 1st. Could you let me know if the following are still the same?

I was offered a 2017 kia sorento 2.4lx model which after rebates msrp was at 25k. 36/12 was at 230+tax with $1000 down for miami, FL which included first month payments. Was that considered a good deal? First time posting here so trying to catch up on lingo and needed data.

Trying to lower our monthly payment by going from Sportage (financed) to Sorrento lease. 36/12k, MSRP is $31135, $1200 in equity on the trade in MA (zip 02184).

Dealer's lease terms right now put us with a flat $300/mo payment with about $1150 down + first month's payment. Credit 695+710. Seems like a lot of upfront given the trade value. Think there's something I'm missing here based on current MF/RV? This dealer gives me a bad vibe but wife is committed.

What is the adjusted CAP cost on the lease offer?

You rarely save any money by getting a new car to lower your payment. At least not in the long run.

I have a question about Kia leases. Do you happen to know what the difference is between an Option Plan and a regular lease? The salesperson is saying that we would "own" the car with the option plan and would still have the option to either turn in the car or finance the residual at the end of the 3-year period. The lease money was a little better with the option plan as well. Is this just a loan with a balloon payment? Thanks for any insight you might share on this!

We live in Arkansas. Is there any disadvantage to the Option Plan vs. Regular Lease? The salesperson pointed out these advantages: $0 deposit, no payment for 45 days, 3% interest and we would not pay as much sales tax on the next car since we "own" this car and in Arkansas we pay sales tax on the net-new cost of a car. Those all sound good, but I'm sure there is some downside.

I believe Arkansas is a state where the full selling price is subject to tax, even on a lease.

I don't think there is a downside - it works the same as a lease. Lower monthly payments, then a buyout figure at the end. The tax advantages alone might be worth it.
