Hello,

I am interested in leasing this car for the Mrs.

What is the money factor and residual value for the 2017 Cadenza Premium?
I am looking to do the 24 month or 39 month Kia lease promotion, 15K miles, and $0 down here in Oregon/Washington.

I just leased a 2017 Cadenza Technology in California yesterday and figured I would give my numbers for others as this forum taught me a lot for my first lease:

Lease term: 36 mo at 12k mi/yr
MSRP: 39,945
Lease cash: $4000
Cap cost: $32,175
Monthly payment: $365/mo at 2k down
MF: 0.000375

Assuming you are in CA?

We only show Premium, Technology or Limited trims.

Assuming Limited: .00040 MF and 52% residual for 24/12. (Kia doesn't offer 10K/yr on 24 month terms)

Choices are Premium, Tech or Limited

Man...... I've crunched and I've crunched....... the high lease cash for my area is obviously driven by the higher MF (almost 5% interest). Looks like the 2 year lease is the best deal and then purchase outright (I keep cars for a long time). However, the smartest move would probably be a used 2017 as I've seen a few on cars.com in the 29k range. Too bad they are all 500+ miles from me in North Carolina!!

I've been dealing with an NC Kia dealer who has 6 or so 2017 Cadenza Limited's still on his lot. We've crunched numbers and the 2 year lease is at $12,600 with another $1,000 from Kia corporate to steal me away from my current auto maker. This doesn't include the gracious amount he is coming off of MSRP.

I hate to be greedy..... but I'm wondering if there is going to be anything better by waiting? The MF seems to be on the rise a bit and I no nobody can predict the future..... but I would love to get a super duper once in a lifetime deal! I love my current car and don't need to sell.... but at some point, it just is too attractive for a brand new (albeit 1.5 year old) car.

Thoughts.... anyone??

Why get a new car if you don't need it?

At some point, support for 2017's will come to an end - but, we don't know when that will be.

If the programs do continue into April, we don't know what changes there will be to the lease numbers and incentives.

Kia doesn't have new programs for April. The March programs run through April 30th.

Wow... they brought out the four-square... old school.

I agree with the math.

Get a breakdown of the $3105 due at signing. That seems like a lot. Though upfront tax on the $12,200 rebate will account for a bit. I'd guess there is a big dealer fee hiding in there.

Something to note.. The "all in" cost of this lease is about $395/mo.
Not unreasonable for a 24 month lease on a $37K MSRP vehicle, but not insubstantial, either.

I am looking at getting a new 2017 Cadenza Tech model. The dealer is telling me that the best way to go would be to lease the car for 2-3 months and then buy it out. They are saying that the price of the car is $35,000, but with the lease incentives the cap cost would only be $23,900. They checked with Kia Finance and confirmed that that is doable, with no early termination fee. I've never heard of this approach. Thoughts?

Also, it looks like the residual value on this model isn't so good. So, I would love to get an idea of what a 24-month and 36-month lease would cost with the residual values. I am in Minnesota.

The purchase price would the residual value plus the sum of the remaining payments. It might work; I've had friends do it on much less expensive cars.

What I would be careful of is the warranty; since you would technically be the 2nd owner (the lease company is the 1st), would you lose the 10 year, 100K warranty?
