Hello,

So the new RS5 has finally made it's press release here in the states. I spoke with a top 10 dealer and am getting close to putting in an order. They are working on sending me numbers as we speak.

To be pro-active - Are their numbers for MF and residual out yet?

THanks

Bump for any current MF numbers...if this helps, 10k/year, 36 months.

    Many Thanks!

Also... What range of a discount off the MSRP should I look for? Im only asking because it seems like a highly sought after car witch in return will make the dealer stick to MSRP and or have Dealer Mark Ups...

Hi! I have a question on lease payment. I want to thank you for your help in advance.

    I just got a quote from a dealer on a in-stock RS5 for 36mo/12K.
    MSRP 85,465,
    Less 7%: $79,482.45
Less $1,000 for loyalty incentive, $78,482.45
    $0 down payment

$1,267.61 monthly payment plus tax, and $1,291.05 drive-off

There's no way this monthly payment is based on the base MF, right?

I run the calculation myself, with 59% residual and 0.00256MF, the monthly payment comes out to $1,109. Am I doing something wrong, or the dealer isn't being straight with me?

Depends on what the dealer added to the selling price - doc fee, acquisition fee, other junk?

Ask for the adjusted CAP cost, and how they arrived at that number from the selling price.

If the CAP cost is the same as the selling price, then the MF has been inflated.

Haha I am closing details on the X5M deal today/tomorrow.

I was just curious about CO rate cause I see MF is way too high for this second generation RS5...I cant image where it will go once inflated..good thing they bumped residuals too

I know its an RS car but for the first RS5 in 2013 I paid .00175.

I am considering the Sportback version once ois out for next year :))

What is considered top tier credit? I'm around 785 in terms of credit score and have financed and finished paying off a car I got in 2016 (5 year finance term. Paid off in 2 years). My only concern is the lack of credit history since I am only 23. But have had a steady job and been using and paying my credit car every month since I was around 19.

There are plenty of places on the internet where you can look at your credit history - if you cosigned for the lease, it should show up on your credit report.

Just got this from a dealer after negotiation details. I have MF of .00284 with a 59% residual. This is for a 36month/12k term.
This looks okay to me but I thought I'd get someone who knows more about this than I do to take a look. I'm in Washington State (Seattle area) for your reference.
I got a decent MF and an average residual. Only question on the lease details, how does tax work? Am I paying tax for the ENTIRE sale price of the vehicle or am I paying for just the depreciation part?

    .00252 MF and 59% residual

In WA, you pay tax on the monthly payment
Even though the column on the right is titled, "Lease Details", those aren't really the lease details.
So, you can disregard the state taxes.
Also, no mention of the $895 acquisition fee (dealer/state fees isn't big enough to include that)

So, paying full sticker price, a markup to the money factor, and without full disclosure of the adjusted CAP cost, etc? Rough.

    $85135 selling price

    $8500 upfront:

    $1216 fees
    $895 acq.fee
    $1313 1st payment
$600 upfront tax on CAP reduction/acq.fee
    $4476 CAP reduction

    $80659 adjusted CAP

    $1217/mo.+tax = $1341/mo.

I'm off $28/mo.. but, that was a lot of estimating. ;)

Almost all of those numbers would be on the lease contract, or a computer screenshot of the deal. That's what you want to see.

No negotiation? Or, was this negotiated down from even higher?

Small error on my original comment. I have a MF of .00264 not .00284I managed to negotiate the MF. MF was originally .00328 but I got that down to .00264. Should I ask them for the additional number? (CAP Cost, etc). As for a discount on MSRP, they seemed very strict on the MSRP and from researching MSRP discounts on rs5, it sounds like RS5 discounts are very strict and rarely given out.
Also, Is it possible that the 28$ a month came from the RTA tax? When I asked for an original quote, she mentioned she needed my address to determine if RTA taxes need to be paid. She said I did and it was around 30$ extra per month. Any clue what that is?

RTA - Regional Transportation Authority? I know the sales tax in Seattle is in the neighborhood of 10%, so they may have missed that with their first quote.

But, that would bother me, as their software should automatically adjust the tax rate based on the registration address you provided.

You should ask the dealer to provide all the numbers they used in their payment calculation. No way would I enter into a contract with this much money at stake without full disclosure.

Mods, say we are in the middle of dealing, is there any way to increase the likelyhood of a response? I'm not going to be looking till March but if there is a way for more interactive responses, it would be really good to know as I find this offering very valuable.

With those prices, $1447/mo plus tax. Assumes all fees are paid up front.
