Are both the $1800 lease cash and $2500 customer incentive treated as payments toward the lease and subject to sales tax, or are either of them simply used to reduce the purchase price (gross capitalized cost) of the vehicle?

Only the $2500 is subject to sales tax.

Sorry... new to leases. Does GM not pass along any of the Federal credit to customers who lease? Seems like they’re pushing people to purchase with these lease terms.

Not much... But, the Volt has $1800 of lease cash

However, the residual is higher than a lot of those makes that have bigger rebates.

The Leaf might have a $9000 incentive, but the residual is in the low 30s

Got the above quote yesterday. Any input? That’s a lot more than I hoped to be paying for a Premier based on the $269 advertised 2019 Volt LT lease deal on Chevy’s website.

Yes, that does seem a bit much, especially since it looks like the taxes and fees are being paid up front.

39/10 numbers are .00116 and 47%; $1800 lease cash.

With the MSRP and net CAP costs, I get $597/mo. Not great, but still better than the dealer quote.

Thanks. Purchase looking like a better deal with the Volt. Nissan is pretty aggressive on their Leaf discounts for leases, though. On a 2019 SL with options at $39630, they show $15254 residual and $445.85 on 36/12 with $5979 cash.

Wondering when the December rates/promos will be available. With the Volt being discontinued in 2019 I am hoping there will be better deals; any opinion on this?

Could I get MF, RV, and Incentives? 36/15, GM First Responder Discount, GM Lease Loyalty, and Costco for zip 10930. NY resident so there's $1700 in NYS Clean Rebate as well. This forum is great, thank you in advance for your help. Looking to lease (or buy) this month.

Wow, thanks for the quick reply! I'm looking at a car on a dealer website, MSRP is $36,395 for an LT, and $38,020 for a premier. Haven't talked to them about specific sale price yet.

I'm hoping to get to a sale price of about $29,000 for the LT or about $31,000 for the Premier (or less).
