Also, it's warming up if you're still thinking about that service. Get all the parts first, then we'll pick a Saturday if you want.
Don't run over fire hose couplers with an STi v5 suspension and 16 cases of wine in the car at the same time
I hate it when that happens! LOL
Hey, that's the ESPNZone I'd suggested when Ken came to visit. I knew the wings were hot but this is getting out of hand!
paisan: pretty soon you'll need a car dealer's license! Get before/after pics of whatever little projects you take on, K?

Serge: With your background have you considered getting into software validation?
paisan: Congrats on the beater Impreza L. Will it be a future autocrosser, rally car, track car, ice racer, or what? (edit: your post got in before mine so I see your intent.)
Ed
Loosh, were you smiling when you were looking at ESPNZone going down? ;-)
Ken
Hope everything goes smoothly for you and your wife. If the baby does decide to get here a bit early, don't worry. My wife was a "premie", and the only thing bad with her is she was crazy enough to marry me:-)
Keeping fingers crossed that all goes well!
Mark
Tongue in cheek....
Cheers!

So what is a ESPNZone? Obviously never made it to Australia and I can't work out whether it is an acronym or restaurant chain
Cheers
Graham
It's a bar/restaurant with a sports theme. ESPN is a major sports network here in the US.
I had a beer at that one a few years back - cost $9 for two brews...ouch.
-Brian
ESPNZone is a spin-off of that, and yes it is a restaurant/sports arcade chain combo, if you can imagine such a setup. I've never been to one, although there is one in Baltimore in the Inner Harbor. There are a number scattered throughout the USA. Perhaps someone who's been to one can elaborate a bit further.
Bob
It was a small fire, the restuarant is open today. Guess BFD over-reacted.
Paul- trust me, I wouldn't have normally. It all happened very fast. These hoses didn't even have water in 'em yet...they literally ran them out in the middle of traffic right in front of me.
This whole hose thread reminds me of the photo of the Bimmer parked illegally next to the fire hydrant. The one with the fire hose going through the broken side windows.

ESPNZone/Jillians/Dave and Busters/several other chains
all similar.

Sounds like my idea of hell. I am not a sports fan, generally and find cable TV pretty wierd.
I think we've eaten at a Dave & Buster's. At least the saving grace is that Fast Food and gassy beers is what the US does particularly well. That sounds like a put down, which it isn't. I really like eating the local food and drinking the local booze so we really enjoyed tripping from fast food joint to fast food joint across the USA. I have fond memories of drinking beer in bars all round the country.
Cheers

Graham: where else can you pay $10 for a greasy hamburger? ;-)

Speaking of food... I guess I should find a place near the Javits center for us to catch a late lunch after the auto-show.
-mike
Taking a group like ours out to lunch would take at least an hour, and I'm not sure if we'll have that kind of time.
Let's see, we'll play it by ear. We have at least 20 debuts to check out.

They also have a bunch of sports themed arcade games, as well as TVs showing any and all sports events going on.
The beer was decent, and the food was good; especially since it was free:-)

Delightful people. We spoke on the phone later that week, so I heard about their scare with Kana.
Still crossing fingers and "squeezing thumbs" (German equivalent) for them.
For Ken and Kana and all those who might be heading towards Denver in the foreseeable future, my offer of free beer at our place still stands. San Fran introduced me to Anchor Steam, a new favorite, but I'm open to suggestions...
Catching up at work, project deadline's been moved up a couple of months, so it's back at it now...

Noon at the Subaru area, right?

Steve
But, it's going to be chilly rain for the show on Friday.
Enjoy your trip, Steve.
DaveM
Next time, I'll have to show you some other Bay Area brews.
Ken
um ... and ... uh ... subies just run great through both and anything in between!
Anyway, I installed my first infant seat today. We bought a Peg Perego. I tried installing in the center of the rear seat of our Jetta, but it made it impossible for me to comfortably drive. It fit a lot better on the passenger side rear seat. I'm having CHP take a look at it and give their blessing.
Out of curiosity, why do infant car seats state the center of the rear seat is "prefered"?

En route to the hospital yet? ;-)

Bob
:-)
No, not on the way to the hospital yet but Kana tells me that her contractions are getting stronger (and that's under medication). The bags are packed and we're ready to go at any time!
We're still narrowing down the names from a list of three -- but no "K" name.
Ken
Sweet, Ken. I'll guess the birth will occur on Friday, while we're at the NY Show! Let's do a pool for the weight?
I say, hmm, 6 lbs 12 ounces.
The middle seat is best protected in side impacts. Also, a center lap-only belt is easier to fasten than a lap and shoulder belt. Use a locking clip to get it tight and keep it that way.

We would like to wish everyone a Happy Passover and lovely Easter holiday.
IT'S TIME FOR RALLY MATZVAH !!! and the prunes to go with it ;-}
Serge, Susan, Michael, and Dina
Ken: Best wishes & hang in there (again), DAD! All my best to Kana too, of course!
Cheers! (with an eye toward a champagne toast)
Paul
juice 6-12
Serge 7-2
Paul 7-14
As for the baby's weight, I say 6 lb. 7 oz.
Second,
A Happy holiday to everyone, whether Passover or Easter! Serge- pass the choroseth(sp?).
Looking forward to seeing you folks Friday.
Mark
Know what? Never mind. With the main topic of today's posts in mind I'll go the other way and say 9 lb., 2 oz. Yeah, 9-2, that's the ticket!
Ed
Pool entry: 6 lbs 3oz.
