If you REALLY want to know the numbers for your registration, send me an email request. (Be sure to include your screen name!) For privacy reasons, I can't throw them out here on the boards. However, I will say that locke2c/Colin is entitled to boast. ;-)

I think it's safe to say that *most* posts in the Subaru Crew topics were from a Dave. ;-)

For fun, I've asked Karen for my stats. Bet I'm in the top 10 of all of Edmunds. I bet paisan and Bob are also.

Great chat BTW. We were honored with Graham's and Colin's presence on the same night, that's gotta be a first. I counted 18 active plus 4 observers at one point, so we must have had 25 or so at one point or another.

The chat was busy for sure every time I put my head down to type I missed at least half of a page:-)

    Race you to 10K Juice?

how many posts are you currently showing on nabisco, paisan? I'm at 5,261 there, not sure how that works with the pruning they've done and what little posting I've done outside of OT.

  • paisanpaisan Member Posts: 21,181
I think after the pruning it's way down. No idea, there is no way to check it there now. Used to see it in classifieds but not anymore. I mostly post in Tri-state so they don't count in my count.

You might get there first - I'll be at the beach this weekend, and today's been busy at work.

Time for another road trip. Bethany Beach, about 3 hours each way. The wife is loading up the Forester now, which means I'll have to re-pack when I get home. ;-)

Our hosts have a van now, but they want to get a Suburban. The other guests have a Jeep Wrangler. I'm hoping that eventually we can all go up to North Bethany and drive out on the beach for the surf fishing. :-)

Plus you don't have to lug all those chairs several blocks, you just drive right up!

Thanks for asking. The big day was Tuesday. I hid in the fab all day and waited for the 4PM meeting to announce it was over. Yes, I made it.....this time. It was very tense since it dragged on all day. Semi-funny story - on Monday I received a call from HR and my manager. It turns out that HR wanted to get me my 10 year recognition award and my manager needed some data. I asked them never to do that again! :)

last night, I need to get my daughter from gymnastics on Thursday. I get home around 9:30. So if anything else is pressing it usually keeps me from logging in. I'll try harder.

That's good Greg, but polish up the resume just in case.

I just had my 10 year honors, too. Met the Bank's head honcho. He's short so I kind of tower over him in the photo, it's funny.

    how tall are you, juice?

I'm just curious for some reason.

    -Colin
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
    5' 11 and 1/2". Call it 6' if you're in a generous mood. :-)

Mr. Pres must be about 5'7" or so.

Let us know if you ever get out to the East Coast, we'll meet up. It's funny how you have a picture in mind of what someone (who you've known on-line) might look like - I'm always wrong!

Glad to hear you missed the chopper, but as juice pointed out update your resume and keep on the lookout for alternative employment, at least now you have breathing room.

She's here! Our baby daughter was born today (4/25) at 2:02PM.

Both baby and mother are doing great. This has been the happiest moment of my life.

    The stats (drumroll, please)...5lbs. 15oz.

I'll post more when I get a chance.

G'day to Ken and Kana and Baby K,

Delighted for you all. Pretty wonderful experience isn't it?

I hope you get as much pleasure from your little girl as we have from our two. Although Tamsin is almost ten, it seems only yesterday that she arrived

    Cheers

ps I thought I was nearest the pin with 6lb even and arriving Friday but I think Brenda was going for 5 15.

    Ken & family - CONGRATS.
Enjoy the moment, it's a very special time. We wrote a detailed letter to each daughter describing their birth. I'm still touched when I re-read it. (After 14+ years, I wouldn't remember the details anyway, so it was good that we wrote it down!)

    All the best!

Well,my wife finally decided for her new car she wants a Legacy L special edition station wagon to add to my WRX wagon! Wagon induced by the birth of our son 2 mo. ago.. So what should I be expecting to pay under invoice for one of these (I have the IMBA discount but have been told that they are selling far under invoice). Also, what are some good accessories (eg moon roof deflector, etc)??

    Thanks,

    Howard
  • dcm61dcm61 Member Posts: 1,567
The VIP discount through IMBA is for invoice minus any dealer / customer incentives. If they're selling below invoice that means there's incentives.

My daughter Kayte shares your daughter's birthday as well: 25 April 1980. It is an auspicious date.

I was waaay off on the baby's weight (9-2), but I just picked it because of all the Saabaru talk that day. ;-)

    Good luck,

Brenda, boy did she nail it or what? Who else was close?

    Karen 5-10
    Brenda 5-15 <- DING DING!
    Graham 6
    DaveM 6-1

Brenda wins a brand new time-delay keyboard so Pat and I can keep up with her during the chat! :-)

Congrats, buddy. I was out of town since Friday but I told my wife, "I wonder if Ken had a baby..." and sure enough.

Congrats and welcome to Howard, too. We have a Legacy L and it carries our 2 kids around nicely and safely, all while averaging 25mpg. Go ahead and use the VIP program, you get all the rebates and incentives and don't have to haggle.

Most of us measure WPM (words per minute). But we're mere mortals, Brenda measures in PPS (posts per second)!

Just kiddin' Brenda, you know we all appreciate our Director of Stealth Intelligence Operations (*).
