Hello, I'm about to close on a deal, but have a question about MRM. I'm leasing a 2018 Panamera 4. MSRP $109,020, MRM of $105,500, and sale price of $93,500. Assuming $4000 down total (includes registration, first month, and a small down payment), it looks like I will have monthly payments of $1328.22 (36 months/12k, 56% residual, and buy rate for MF).

Is this a good deal?

I don't know anything about MRM, but I do know that it is lowering the MSRP, thereby causing my monthly payment to rise. Is this customary for Porsche or is the dealer pulling a fast one?

MRM is a common concept for luxury makes. If the MSRP is higher than the MRM, the difference is not subject to residual.

In your example, the difference ($3520) is divided by the lease term, and is adding about $98/mo (excluding rent charge and tax) to your payment.

MRM is the number used for maximum residual calculation.
It doesn't lower the MSRP, just the number that is used to calculate the residual.
I verify the $105,500 number.

Without the MRM, your residual would be 56% of $109,020 = $61051.20
With an MRM of $105,500, the residual of 56% = $59080.

So, your depreciation is $1970 higher than it would be, otherwise. $55/mo. more, pre-tax.

Your payment looks about right.

Doesn't appear there is anything extra in the deal.

If you could find a lower MSRP model, with a corresponding decrease in selling price, you could save substantially (due to the MRM)

You didn't specify the Sport Turismo, and there is no supported lower MF on the 4 door turbo.
