I have tried the internet white pages to no avail.This is supposed to be some charity selling donated articles for aid in Africa, I bought a Cd recorder on Ebay from them which does not work, during the buying process I had no trouble getting them to respond to my emails. When I contacted them about the problem, 4 days and 5 emails later all is quiet, no response.
So far in buying the unit and shipping charges I am out 200 bucks and I don't have that sort of money to throw away, any help would be appreciated.
Cheers Pat.
Cheers Pat.
We owned a 19" Aristocraft with a measly 120hp, so I can only imagine what that must be like. And I like the open cockpit, so you can feel the wind in what little hair I have left.
w8ifi: gotta love those Subaru Bucks!
830hp, yum yum. But also bet your boat with 120hp weight a lot less than 8500-9500lbs!

Don't think I'd even want to ski behind that monster, though. It would be a game of Kill the Skier.

Our boat some times never got there, at least when it was loaded up with too many people. :sick:
It's amazing how the props are key to a lot of different things. You can change the pitch to gain more top-end speed similar to changing the gearing on a car. You can have them labbed where they shave them as thin as possible to create less resistance in the water. Amazing stuff, and very similar to automotive things.

PS: did you see I'm a host now

Check out Speed Shop Tuning and Modification too. Maybe we need a discussion about variable props, lol. :shades:

Congrats, mike. Or is it Mister Host now? :P

Commodities market is good blowing it all on toys!

Just catching up from the weekend and saw you picked up the new boat! Looks nice, and even better (as you posted) the Armada can tow it.
Enjoy! And, congrats on being a "host" on Edmunds.

BTW, did you (or anyone else here) see the video of the Ferrari crashing off the wall on CNN this morning? I thought of you and auto crossing (not that you would crack it up); just like my friend did his Porsche last year.
Mark
That reminds me Mark, we need to get a Subaru-downtown meet going, like the time we had one at Jeremy's Ale House!
What time you get out these days? I get out at 5pm on the dot.

Bob
Yep, that's the story I saw this morning!
Mark
I'm up for that! I get out anywhere from 5 to 6 nowadays, depending on how busy we get. I might be able to get Patrick C. to join us. He used to have a black WRX; now he has a old RS he is thinking of swapping engines on.
There's lots of places down here.
Mark
there's only 399 of them.
Downtown meet sounds good.
I pull out of Holland Tunnel into Manhattan at about 6:45PM.
-Dave
It would be good to see you again, been a while. There are a couple of places near the Holland Tunnel we could meet at so that you just come out and park. As for getting there at 6:45 or so, not a problem.

He's in the new car movie Redline. Probably beleived his own hype about the movie and its cars.

Either that or everyone is in the Future Models thread talking about the 08 WRX.
The solter cracked, basically. Easy fix once I found some instructions on Scooby Mods. :shades:

I'm pretty much lined up for an 08 SpecB, have to find one for a test drive. Maybe I'll swing by SOA and see if they have one I can test out.

All my life I've been a notorious cheap skate. This time I think I'll pay a little extra up front for the long term benefits:
* a little more power
* a lot more torque
* better gas mileage
* more importantly, better range
* likely better resale values
* better visibility
* easier ingress/egress
* 3rd row curtain air bags (guessing here)
So yeah, I'll pay a bit more to get the 08. I have $1100 in Subaru Bucks, so that will help. At the very minimum I'll get the 7 passenger model, but maybe even the Limited. I think I'll pass on NAV because it's relatively expensive as an option plus the aftermarket ones keep getting better and cheaper. The backup camera may change my mind, though hopefully they'll offer a audible backup sensor stand-alone.
I kept my last car 7 years, the Forester for 9 years. So a grand or two extra, 08 vs. 07, amounts to next to nothing when you look at it long-term, annual costs.
It goes against my nature to pay more, but I believe it's better, so that's the plan. :shades:
I like the redesigned Tribeca much better. (Or maybe I dislike it less?)
speaking of 08 redesigns, the WRX now looks like a Mazda/Corolla. Oh well, at least it's not ugly. Just boring.
Think they'll drop that 3.6 into an Outback? Or a Legacy?

just missing the hubby since he stayed home this time ...
we drove daughter's 'new' HHR down and it was just fine for the 2 of us, and all our stuff ... don't know how many it could ride that far "comfortably" though ...
DH made the 1/2 way humorous comment to me the other day that I could think about a new car about time for the 2015 models to come out ... since we're still using the 1993 oldsmobile for the kiddos to drive, he might not be that far off ... (I have a 2001 Outback) ...
Now you're talking.
The wife wants something a bit more upscale next time around, more power, too. I imagine a 3.6l Legacy H6 would be just the ticket.
By the way, I printed out the images and showed the family. I asked the kids point black, "Pretty or Ugly", and both said Pretty. This is before they knew what it was or that it was on my short list.
The wife liked it too. She said she can definitely imagine it parked in our car port. :shades:

She said no green, though, as my Forester is dark green and her Legacy is light green. Too bad, because I like the seafoam green they have now.
I like the silver on the photos. Or Atlantic Blue.
How 'bout OCD Black?
I'm torn on the interior color. The beige is gorgeous, but it's a light shade that will probably stain easily. The gray is more practical but it's a bit cold.
I loved the interior so I'm glad they didn't change it much.
