    There is this dealership that has a 2020 Terrain SLE Fwd MSRP of $29,595
    Selling Price: $19,202

    I asked for a quote for a 36/15000 zero down payment and they ended up giving me this numbers

    $1,500 in drive offs and monthly payments of $342 plus tax.

    How did they ended up coming to those numbers? What strategy can I follow?

    My guess is that the selling price is valid for a purchase only, and the price used to calculate the lease payment is much higher.

    The selling price quoted wasn't valid with the lease program, evidently. Also, probably included many incentives that you weren't eligible for.

    When you get the lease quote, ask for all of the associated numbers:
    Selling price
    Adjusted CAP cost
    Money factor
    residual

    Etc, etc... then, you can see what goes into the numbers.
