MF can be marked up a max of .00040; RV is fixed by the bank.

So the .00185 I am currently being quoted is beyond the maximum (which is set by whom)? Just want to make sure I am informed when I go into re-negotiation.

BMW Financial Services (aka, "The Bank") sets the rates.

Of course, your dealer could be using a 3rd party bank or credit union.

All of the above assumes you have top tier credit.

I have top tier credit. That's not an issue. I did apply for financing through BMWFS for the lease, however last night I wrote MY SA and the Sales Manager a note and said that the MF they are offering me equates to 4.44% APR and that I am eligible and approved (through my credit union) for 1.99% for up to 84 months. So, I requested they decrease the MF to be in-family with what I would get were I to finance through my local credit union. We'll see what they say.

However, as of today, for my area (35801) the base BMWFS MF is .00123 and the RV is 56%, correct? Max MF would be .00127, correct? Just want to make sure my facts are straight before I go in to negotiate more.

Appreciate all your help.

Thank you. Are the MF's done by region/state? I want to be able to articulate that it's my understanding that the BMW MFR for xxxxxx is .00123 with a max of .00163.

BMW will lock the rate, and give you the option to take the rate that is in effect at time of delivery

But, be aware that the dealer can markup the base rate.
