If Subaru gets encouraged by Honda Insight success and brings this toycar stateside, then CAFE would be satisfied and we could get the heavy breather Legacies from Japan.
What a nice dream, time to wake up now.
Ob name guess: I bet on Americana. Subaru Arizona or Subaru Longhorn or something.

Steve, LOL! I can see why you're spending so much time on this. With the exceptions of Bandit and Timber, I like your list. I think Bandit carries too much anti-social baggage with it, and Timber just sounds a bit odd to me—although I see where you're coming from.
Of everything that's been mentioned so far, I like "Retriever" the best. I can picture a future outdoorsy LL Bean ad right now, with a Subaru Retriever in the background.

Not saying the Pleo is a bad vehicle at all, just seems that the image would directly counter the sporty, adventurous image they are trying to build.

OOPS I sound like King Crimson with that last word.
(I'll go for the "STX" myself)
TWRX
One version will be like the L Forester
Unpainted cladding
15-16 inch wheels on steel rims
Optional cruise, AC, Power windows/locks
The other will be a sport version:
Painted body cladding
air-tilt-cruise
Kick [non-permissible content removed] Stereo
17" alloy rims with low profile tires
fog lights on the role bar
sportier interior (momo wheel, alloy pedals, cool shifter etc. Soon to be out of style colours)
Huge moonroof
Any other predictions
Stephen
Below that model, I see a Base and a Sport trim level. The base will come with 16" (or 15") steel wheels, and H-4, with the H-6/auto as an option. The Sport will come with alloys, and the H-6/auto.
Plus, I'm preparing myself to be disappointed, because it won't have a low range, an H-6 w/5-speed, and/or improved towing.
Bob
therefore... I say no manual when the STX/Brat debuts, just like the H6 Outbacks.

Cheers Pat.
Oh, I'm going to regret this one.

If it sells well we'll see an H4 with both trannies, equipped like the base Outbacks.
Harvest is good, Harvester is better. Skier maybe. Adventurer, Hiker, Trekker, something like that.

Do you think anyone would get the connotation of Subaru About? A play on walkabout?
And keeping with Aussie themes...how about the Subaru Roo????
Okay...I'll go quietly. No need to show me the door.

Colorado has lots of cool city names, like Colby, Oakley, Kendall, Weston, Boulder, Vail, Avon, Aspen, Montrose, and Bonanza.
Aspen is taken, but plenty of choices out there.
