Brake torquing the Prius is weird, because of the power split device. It just charges the traction battery if you stand on the brake and floor the gas pedal, and it seems to not go higher than 3-4,000 RPM when you do that. It might be worth another try without trying to brake torque it, but I'm also not that interested.
Other than the age of the car, I'm going to place some blame on the aftermarket rebuilt battery. By definition, it's not new, and also, some people have said that the battery management is different to attempt to make the pack last as long as possible, so performance is reduced. IDK.
I don't think the plus-zero size tires are an issue. Obviously, there was no traction problem, and I don't think their weight or rolling resistance differ enough from OE to make that big of a difference.
@pensfan83 - nice job with the CPO MDX Type S! Congrats!

Was cleaning the inside of the Tesla today and started exploring the various storage locations it has. I am really impressed with how much it can hold between the Frunk, under floor storage in the hatch, and center console. I actually reorganized the car to take better advantage of it ahead of an upcoming road trip - yes, taking an EV > 30 miles from home. gasp

Nice job! How much back and forth negotiation was there? Were they motivated to move the unit?

They may have not been as rich as you think. One owner of the place kept a woman in the basement as a slave.

Only a German car as equipped as yours is could be missing that option!
You’d think they would save money just making that standard and only stocking one wheel.

We made it down to Bend, Oregon yesterday. We made a bit of a day out of it stopping to let the kids (traveling with my BIL and SIL) stretch their legs and to go to some of my favorite breweries. 388 miles total.
I averaged 300 miles per charge (though I never went up to 100% or lower than 15% charge because we were near super chargers). Our longest charge was from 15-80% once we arrived in bend and took 17 minutes. Including recharging in Bend when we got here, we spent $23 in supercharging fees.
Car is without a doubt the best vehicle I’ve ever done a road trip with. Autopilot helped keeping away from a speeding ticket.
Hit the last Blockbuster video on earth today. Super cool!
They are meeting her BIL and SIL there to hand over some furniture - they live in Idaho.
Sounds like a fun trip, and you're certainly saving on fuel costs.

Round it off to 400 miles and $4 gas.
My truck would use maybe 9? Gallons. Or 10 depending on highway speeds. So $36-40. The RDX with its whipping 25ish mpg is at least 13 so $52
Yeah you saved getting equivalent to about 60Mpg?
2020 Acura RDX tech SH-AWD, 2023 Maverick hybrid Lariat luxury package.
Our Subaru did about 27 mpg, so about 15 gallons there at $5 a gallon for the PNW - so $75.

You are among a very select group of FORD EXPLORER owners/lessees invited to provide ongoing feedback to Ford Motor Company to help in the development of vehicles for the future.
This important customer collaboration project consists of participating in our ongoing data logger project. If your vehicle qualifies, we would like to install a data logger in your FORD EXPLORER for up to 12 months.
Please access here for additional logger details.
Why join our program?
In appreciation for your time, and if your vehicle qualifies you will be paid an incentive of $500 broken into two parts; $200 for installation of the logger, and $300 upon the removal of the logger.
Your feedback will help us to better understand how your vehicle is used, and its performance under real world conditions.
Your feedback will help ensure future Ford products meet the needs of our customers.
I turned down a pretty strong offer from an insurance company because the discount required a data logger and automatic withdrawal from my account. One of those would be a deal breaker but two? No thanks.
But that’s just me. You probably don’t have anything to hide.

I could put the tracker on my Mustang instead but it's too old to be OBD II.

You’d think they would save money just making that standard and only stocking one wheel.
I know, the only options it lacks are the heated wheel, the HUD, and the AMG Drive Unit (A fancy name for extra buttons on the wheel that allow you to toggle through the various drive modes).
I mentioned this before, but I think most M-B dealers must choose how to option their cars using a random number generator- no two cars seem to be optioned alike, and cars equipped like mine are very thin on the ground- new OR used.

The service light came on in our ‘22 Highlander. 35K miles and the factory calls for a tire rotation. I call up, tell my SA I want to drop it off and pick up the next day. No problem. He calls and tells me the 2 front tires have the most tread depth and said they aren’t going to rotate the tires. So he reset the maintenance light and sent me on my way. No charge. I picked up the Highlander tonight and look what I saw waiting to get serviced: Turbo - T-Tops - Stick
