ust signed a lease on a Mazda CX-90 PHEV Preferred with an MSRP of $52,500. I put down a $3,375 refundable security deposit to lower the money factor and did a $370 sign-and-drive deal. I qualified for Mazda Loyalty from my previous 2024 CX-90, which I returned five months early.

My new monthly payment is $440/month. With the Mazda Pull-Ahead Program, they covered up to $1,000 of the remaining payments, although I still had to pay $1,200 for early termination.

Initially, my goal was to get 8% off MSRP, but due to limited inventory and timing, I settled for 6% off MSRP. I decided to move forward with the deal because I’ve never seen this level of incentives on the CX-90 PHEV Preferred before. Inventory was extremely tight, and the main $7,500 federal credit is expected to phase out in the next couple of months.

While I couldn’t get my first-choice color, I’m satisfied with the overall deal—especially the monthly payment. The dealership was 240 miles away, but it was worth the trip.

So far, during my long drive, I haven’t noticed significant MPG savings. Based on my calculations, public charging doesn't make financial sense with gas at $2.55/gallon and an average of 24 MPG, compared to $0.40/kWh and about 2.2 miles per kWh.

Mr. Moderator, a quick note of thanks for your help! I set my sights on a 2025 TSPP, and armed with your leasing info, Edmunds' trade-in estimate on my 2024 CX-90 PHEV (early trade is another story) and my FICO score, I came out very happy.

Got the dealer to discount MSRP $2,500, and negotiated my trade up by $1,500 over their first offer. When the lease details arrived, they were adding back some profit with a higher lease rate. I simply responded with, "At my FICO score, I think I should qualify for Mazda's most favored rate.", and got it.

All in all, a very easy process, aided with information from Edmunds.
