I also have the headliner rattles from the sun shade whether it's open or closed.
The car is 5 months old and only has 2800 miles on it. I'm making a list of all of these issues for when I go for my first oil change next month.
I like the car, but cannot say I love it.
Also, like other owners, I have a few rattles on rough roads only, but overall I'm very happy with the car so far and hope to get well over 100,000 miles out of it.
I haven't seen the seat issue for the 7th Gen, but there were TSBs for the 6th Gen seats. Possibly the same fix for the 7th Gen also.
Yes I do have a Gen 7 Accord.
I have an Accord 2004 EX which was purchased in January and it has an intermittent window problem. After parking the car and turning off the engine one of the windows will occasionally lower itself about an inch or so. It could be any of the 4 windows. Sometimes 2 of the windows will be down. I usually find out about this when it rains and the back seat and floor get soaked. The dealer says that it is intermittent and they did not experience the problem when I dropped the car off with them.
I am also familiar about pressing the unlock button on the remote 2x which will cause all 4 windows to come down.. but this is not my problem...
Anyone with any ideas? Thanks...
I just want to know what I'm talking about if I go to the service department citing TSB numbers. Thanks!
But, sorry, I'm not familiar with TSB 03-069 mentioned above. I know that a number of Accord owners here have had their rotors and pads replaced under warranty/TSB, but I just don't remember the exact number.
Hopefully someone else will chime in...good luck.
1. The new Accord's seem more sensitive to tire pressures than older ones were. I have found many of the rattles/squeaks will appear if the pressure drops more than 1 pound.
2. An additional bit of foam insulating tape on the outside of the glovebox itself (ie the black plastic box not the lid)seems to cure that one. There already is a strip of foam there but an additional piece seems to cure the problem.
3. Re the squeaky door gaskets.....silicone lubricant seems to be the solution. Mine would always be noisy after they got wet and dried. This happened on my last Accord and on my series 1 Odyssey before it. A bit of lubricant fixes it.............but keep it away from the leather!
Apart from that the car has been great. A far superior car to the last Accord (a 2000)and that one was bullet proof for the 3.5 years I had it.

Looks like speed sensor or ignition component may be going intermittant. I didn't notice your first code in the chart. Hopefully Auburn63 will see your message and respond. He's the Honda Guru on this board.
The fix for the brake problems is new pads (made of a different material). I doubt they will replace the rotors unless they are already too thin.
As for being stranded I never have because I can keep the car started as long as I apply gas to keep the idle up. Guess wise, I 'm thinking it could be due to a temp sensor, idle air control, however since there are no codes, who knows. I'm just waiting for the warmer weather before I have an independant mechanic look at it. Honda dealerships are of little help, unless you can speak to the mechanic who really knows his stuff. If you do return to the dealer, give them all the information you have so far and ask them to run it by with tech support.
Has anyone experienced this problem? Over 50% of the time, regardless of what mode my climate control was in, the climate control decides to go on recirculate in auto mode even though I never pressed that button when leaving the car the night before. It takes me three start-up (and subsequent shutdowns) before the climate control would go back to "normal". Please let me know, thanks!
As well, when starting up, my front end would "clunk" loudly every now and then...anyone experience this too?

Also, the system seems to be sunlight-sensitive in that if outside temps are high and you're passing through shaded streets, the system won't try to cool as much.
If your system behaves similarly in the above situations, it's probably working normally. Not to say that Honda shouldn't improve on the "shaded street" behavior.
Does anyone know of any trick to use on the rear piston?? I also made sure that I opened the break fluid reservoir and removed some fluid when I pushed the front pistons back into their calipers so the fluid did not overflow, so that's not causing a problem.
Any and all ideas will be appreciated. Thanks.
1) Bad rattle/creak from headliner/A-pillar/dash assembly on drivers side. I will take it into the shop for this one- it's that bad. Also, buzzing from driver door trim, and rattle in rear deck.
2) Hesitation after startup, immediately after forward gear's initial engagement. You put it in gear, tap the gas, and it hesitates, almost like if you're letting up on a clutch too fast. Then it works fine the rest of the trip. Irritating when parallel parking.
3. Yes, I notice the headlight dimming mentioned in earlier posts.
All in all, I am happy, but am a little disappointed due to some workmanship issues.
It is coming from the passenger side of the car, kind of below the glove box area... It sounds like something maybe rotating, and it briefly makes contact with its housing, or something... kind of like a bicycle tire would rub a bent fender.
It is not real loud, but it is definitely there. I think it maybe the heat/ac fan... but it will make the sound even if I turn the heat/ac off... will the fan still rotate with the heat/ac off??
Any ideas? I am going to take it to the dealer, but just wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts on the source..
Thanks.

I have an 03EXV6. Can anyone confirm the SRS light comes on and stays on for a second after the engine started?
Thanks.
And of course it depends on the outside temperature... this morning, it was around 40 degrees F in my area, and recirc was off when I started the car. I find that if the outside temp is in the 60s or higher, the recirc is usually on when the car is started.
Yes, I am aware of the indicators will come on for a few seconds when you turn the key to ignition-ON position.
I guess the Side Airbag Cutoff stays on for a couple seconds more after the engine started so it can determine to turn the passenger's side airbag on or off. So I am O.K. with that now.
Last night, I read about this indicator in the user's manual. It says the indicator comes on and stays on if you are driving without a front passenger. If you don't see this, bring it to the dealer for a check-up.
I don't recall I saw the indicator came on and stayed on when I was driving alone.
Does anyone experience the same thing? Or the manual is wrong?
As another poster mentioned, I have a clicking noise when pressing the outside of the fender at the driver's side A-pillar. After some initial hope with some road testing found that stopping it was unrelated.
I am now pursuing arbitration, which is required prior to "lemon lawing" in this state.
It has been implied (they won't tell you anything for sure much less put it in writing) these noises are a "characteristic" of this car. Repairs were done to minimize the effects of this "characteristic". So, in other words they want me to "lump it".
I used to read these boards and think that people discontent with their Hondas were losers, malcontents, trolls or employed by Toyota. Now I pay for that attitude because I have my lemon.....pray it doesn't happen to you.
Sorry that this is causing you so much grief. For the record, it isn't just Honda... my cousin had a transmission failure several years ago on a 2 year old Corolla and she had to take Toyota to arbitration to get them to pay for it. She'd never even consider buying another Toyota after that experience.
