I haven't decided whether I want navigation yet, but I definitely want the Premium Package with a few other, minor features. Both of my finalists -- one with nav and one without -- are listed as "clearance" by my local dealer, in Kansas City.
Without navigation, which I'm leaning toward, is priced by the dealer now at $38,797. TrueCar suggests the market average price is $37,401. Dealer price, according to TrueCar, is $35,953.
If I decide on the navigation package, too, the listed clearance price is $39,875. The market average on TrueCar is $38,899. Dealer cost is listed at $37,519.
So are these market averages reasonable? Can I do better? What would be a good price to start at -- and, more important, what should I be looking at for my final, out-the-door price?
Thanks so much for the help. Looking forward to joining the Infiniti family.
We leased a 2011 G37XS (no NAV) in October.... at about the same selling price they are giving you now..
They have pretty good lease deals on 2012 models... have you considered leasing?

any thoughts on what is fair?
if you do not want to copy and paste the link, here is brief car data: 2011 Infiniti M37x, $43,000; 4529miles, AWD, 7 speed, looks like all the standard equipment for this model.
Any input would be much appreciated. I have not bought a car in 16 years, so am completely clueless.

I live in SF bay area. I want to lease a G37 with premium package and navigation package. The MSRP I got is $41,495. The invoice price Edmunds.com gives me is $38,268. I don't know what the proper price to settle down with dealer to calcuate my monthly rent. How about $38,000??
Can anybody tell me or point me to a correct resource to look up a proper sales price?
BTW, is the aprised trade-in value of my old car on Edmunds.com really an excutable good value with dealers?
Thanks a lot.
Packages: Premium, Navigation
Accessories: splash guards, trunk carpet, kick plates
Sticker: $43,835
Dealer: Ray Catena Infiniti of Bridgewater (New Jersey)
Car price: $38,830
Tax: $2,340 (Pennsylvania)
Doc fee: $249 (yes, high ... I negotiated and he responded by reducing the price of the car $170 from first offer of $39K flat)
Registration: $125
Out-the-door cost: $41,544
The deal was negotiated entirely online. Infiniti provided 1.9% financing for 66 months.
A great deal with service and speed at delivery to match. Well worth the hour drive from my home in eastern PA. I'm very happy with the entire process, am loving the car, and would recommend the dealership to anyone.
Splash Guards $180.00
Illuminated Kickplates $360.00
Interior Accent Lights $110.00
Floor Mats / Trunk Mat / Cargo Net / First Aid Kit $200.00
Total: $40,759.00
Red with Black interior
This was the best I could find in the DC area.
388 $ a month with 0 $ security/0 $ down for 39 months G37AWD. Here is what promotion says:
MSRP: $41,405 . Lease: $0 Dwn Pyt. + $388 1st Mo. Pyt. + $700 Bank Fee + $0 Sec Dep. = $1088 Due At signing; Ttl payments: $15132. P/Opt. At Lease End: $24843 . Mi. allow. 10,000 mi/yr. 25¢ p/mi. thereafter. Tax, reg , DMV, and fees extra. Price includes $1000 infiniti previous owner loyalty to qualified buyers only
I looked at all calculations and this is better than anything i came up with for lease.
Thank you in advance.
2011 - ended all incentives - they gave the dealers $3000 for every G sedan or coupe they still had in inventory...so any dealer should be willing to go $3k back of invoice in a heartbeat.
2012:
G25: 1.9% up to 66 months, 2.9% up to 72 months
G37 sedan: same rates + $1000
G37 coupe: same rates + $1000
Convertible: same rates + $1000
If you lease a g37 sedan or coupe and currently own an Infiniti you are eligible for a $1000 Owner Loyalty Rebate (not good w/ purchase offers above).
To me - this stinks...in 2009, 10, and 11 - Infiniti came with much more incentives. I've heard they have allocated money towards advertising this year and the launch of the JX....
However, just because the incentives are not as good as they were years ago - the G is an awesome vehicle for a great price (the lease is superb as well) and there is no better time than this week to get one! (In Texas, you pay no sales tax if you lease!)

How does this deal sound? I feel like sales price is still fairly high. Does anyone know the incentives they're running right now? Last I saw was that there was $3,000 manufacturer to dealer incentive on the g37.
Also, I'm a new graduate (within the last 2 years) and would qualify for their graduate program. Does anyone know what all this would include on a lease, their website is very vague about this incentive.
Thanks.

Are you at Sewell Dallas or Ft. Worth?
I go back and forth between Austin and Plano and have been thinking about dropping by one of the Dallas Infiniti dealers to see how they differ from Austin/San Antonio.
Still some time before I buy a new car but comparing IS350 to G37...

This was from Crossroads Infiniti in NC. Is this is a good deal? :confuse:
Price was $34,700 plus $199 doc fee (and I got a fair price on my trade which I'm sure is just heading to wholesale or the auction block). Only add on was the emergency kit, trunk mat, and net. Might be some room to get splash guards and lighted kickplates as many of their cars had already installed.
I'll be in Plano next week and if the week ends as I expect it to, I'll be buying a new car (lexus, infiniti, bmw...) in the next 30 days. :-)
I might as well swing by the Dallas dealerships while there so I can compare the prices with Houston/Austin/San Antonio since they're all a relatively short drive.

Is it realistic today to get a 2012 Premium + Navigation package G37 sedan at or under $35,000 OTD? Thanks.
Question#1: Based on the following post when the $3000 incentive was not available,
is it realistic today to buy (not lease) a 2012 Premium + Navigation package G37 sedan under $35,000 OTD? Thanks.

Just purchased the 2012 Infiniti G37 Journey.
Automatic, Premium, Navi, Trunk Mat, illuminated door sills.
18 Month Lease. 10k Per Year. 78% Residual. 0.00001 Money Factor.
Ended up paying $375 down and $270 a month!
This included $1000 loyalty cash as well for already owning an Infiniti which brought the down payment down from 1,375 down and 270 a month.
Texas is doing Tax Free leases right now. So even at $1375 down and $270 a month, I think it's a great deal and something everyone should jump on!
Question #3: Are lease price on cars higher than buy price? Thanks.
Reply to #2 - First you must live in Texas (or at least register the vehicle there). The 18 month lease is unbelieveable because the residual is so high and IFS will take care of the sales tax...so the example above is probably right. Keep in mind the person who posted owned an Infiniti and got a $1000 Loyalty rebate, plus the dealer gave him the buy rate on the money factor - so the dealer made no money on the financing. Keep in mind most dealerships want to make some money, so everyones deal won't be that good. National ad is $319/month w/ a chunk down + TTL (in Texas there is no sales tax for the month on G sedan so the amount due at signing is about $2700...that is on 12k year...if you own an Infiniti it would go down to $1700 due at signing $319/month)!!
Most Texas dealers will sell out of G sedans this month - as supplies drop and demand is high...the price will go up.
Reply to #3 - yes the lease price will be higher. $2000 higher.
Current 2012 G37 sedan incentives (choose between the 3):
1. $3000 dealer cash
2. $2000 dealer cash & 1.9% APR
3. $1000 dealer cash on lease w/ awesome residuals & money factors ($1000 Loyalty Rebate for those who have an Infiniti and lease)
Plus tax credits in Texas on lease plus IFS will waive up to 3 payments of your current lease if you get another Infiniti.
Hope this helps - got to go sell some cars - we should sell over 200 this month!
I believe you can get the car you are looking for with no money down except 1st month payment for 18 month lease for $375 monthly or less.
Anyone know the downside to an 18 month lease??
The number of "buy" lease out there is going to drive down the resale value of the "bought and owned" with the number of used or slightly used ones available. I think I will try to duplicate the lease deal in question@2 and pay $1000 more for not having owned or leased Infiniti cars before, and then I don't have to worry about the resale value of my B&O car.
Please keep us updated on Infiniti deals. If I haven't bought a car by the end of the month, I can reconsider Infiniti if there's a good deal. But for Infiniti, the wise thing to do is to think lease instead of buy.
OH, WHAT? Redesigning the G in 2014? The new cars that roll out into dealerships in 2 months have no change, but those come in 14 months will be redeigned?
Yes, we are overdue. The current generation of G has been around, with a few minor tweaks, since the 2008 model year.

I'm hoping to find a dealer agreed to duplicate a deal like that guy's got but replace the repeat buyer discount with competitor's buyer discount. Boy! can we dream!!
I think we're talking about a sedan here so, it's been out since 2007.
