I'm confused is the $28,703 the price you would pay or the price discounting the 8% sales tax?
We talked to Jessica in Nashua and Bob in Manchester.
Thanks!
Bridget
Not sure if my X-plan helped much, but the dealer indicated that they get 1% cash back on these sales.
Current incentives valid through 8/31 are "free" Premium Pkg, $2000 factory to dealer cash on non-base models (units with any package are non-base...$3000 is avail for base models), 1.9% financing for 36 mos. or 2.9% for 48 mos.
Also, love the fact that Volvo includes scheduled maintenance on new models. No hassle deal and very happy with my new purchase. I live in Southern California.

What factors would you weigh on considering a purchase of pre-certified status for 23K miles at $950?
Recommendations?
Thanks- Phil
MSRP was $40K+. Quote was $32,400 negotiated tow package at cost. Had to push to get a good trade in value on a 96 Suburban. Very happy with auto. Disappointed in Stereo. Base system is weak. Cassette??? Go figure. Will look at aftermarket.
What dealiship was it: PA or NJ? Please provide more info as I'm looking for the similar vehicle.
THANKS IN ADVANCE!
Battled for $32,200 +++ on '04 XC, non-met. paint, Premium, Touring, booster and wheels. In the end, I was talking about $700 at the most(if true) so my wife said quit your.... and just go for it. We'll be driving a car around town where people paid $5K+ more just a few months ago.. ouch on the depreciation/resale.
Free Touring + $2K manu. to dealer cash and 1.9% extended thru end of Sept. should assure none left - our dealer has 2 and theire "volume." Bought now with $500 deposit but will take delivery at end of month when current lease exp. Fully financed at 1.9% is $910/month for 36 months. That's $400 more than a lease for same time frame but you own it a no-time. Take the Financing - its free money.

Salesman makes next to nothing, but was more than cooperative in working out short delivery cycle. Note: SAS web HOME page, as well as Volvo site (buried) includes two 6 month tickets from anywhere in USA to Gothenburg, and anywhere in Europe (open jaw) back home.
Note to FORUM owners -- maybe european delivery should be a separate topic, not part of any MODEL or MAKE ?
Either way....you still got a great deal.
From the comfort of my family room, I e-mailed the ten or so dealers within a 150-mile radius on Tuesday night. The phone rang off the hook all day Wednesday with great offers and eager salesmen asking, “where do I need to be?” A far cry from the way my parents used to shop for a car!
Dealer confirmed there is a $2,000 factory to dealer incentive on these models right now, though he somehow “didn’t know about it” until I mentioned it. Plus, Volvo is giving the Premium Package free right now. Consumer Reports Wholesale Price Report lists the dealer holdback as $348--and don’t bother spending the $12 for this report because that was the only valuable nugget it contained. You can be sure Volvo is giving dealer incentives to move the 04s now, too.
I hope this post helps someone else get an even better deal!
I want to make sure I understood what you said. You stated that you paid $32,350, right? Were you able to get any of the 2K F-to-D money??? Or did your $32K price include some of that money to you?
Where in Socal can I get the same deal.
Thanks in advance.
- "Used" '04 XC70 with less than 5k miles on it.
- Premium package.
- Options to buy for $32.2 with remaining warranty or $33.0 to extend the warranty by 2 years and 50k miles. Leaning towards this (second) option.
It seems like the pricing is in the ballpark for what others are paying. Given the used status and various electronic problems folks have had, etc. I don't mind kicking in a few hundred extra for a little more security on the warranty.
Car drove fine and the story behind its used status seemed legit. However, if I have one concern, it's that this car isn't "brand new" and thus I suppose there's always a risk that it was turned in for a (bad) reason. Of course, the warranty should cover me on any problems. Nevertheless, I have no desire to be hanging out at the service dept.
I was curious what others thought about the price and used status. Should I even be concerned given the extremely low mileage? Thanks.
MSRP: $39,635.
My price: $32,400.
After signing on the deal today it sounds like September was the last time to get in on 2004 XC70 deals. One of the managers confirmed that they dropped one of the manufacturer to dealer incentives (the $2500 one, I think) on this car and confirmed that there are no incentives for the 2005.
They gave me a 3.54% 63 month term on the loan.
That says, our TMV report on this vehicle seems to indicate that you're getting a heck of a deal as it is, if the 30,750 doesn't include trade-in allowance.

Basically trying to see if negotiating utilizing invoice pricing info available here and other sites is a good way to start. I know that there are some actual Volvo people who roam these boards. How often are incentives such as the current manufacturer to dealer $2500 (that doesn't show on Edmunds for some reason), which expires 11/30, available for Volvo. Asking as I will probably be ready to make the plunge Feb to March. Can I realistically expect a similar incentive type deal around that time.
Thanks for any assistance,
George

On the surface this looks like a good price, but I am looking for any real world opinions on this price point. Thanks.
