Curious about trade in value of a 2010 Nissan Titan Pro4x, V8 auto, black/black leather pkg, utility pkg (spray in bed liner/ utility rails, etc), Rockford fosgate stereo, tow pkg, w/ Nissan side steps. 33k miles in very good condition. It did have hood/roof hail damage repaired, and front/rear bumpers replaced (all OEM parts) due to mild low-speed impacts bc people can't watch where they're going.
Isell, ya know, I wasn't even thinking Civic. Since he pointed out 4-cyl, my brain went right to Accord. In any case, is the situation the same for accord coupes vs sedans? I'd assume so, but just curious.
Linden, there haven't been many going through. If a crew cab, maybe $19-20k. If extended cab...I'll take a stab at $17.

Hey @qbrozen. You are away this week aren't you? Hope your vacation is going well. When you get a chance, can you give me an updated trade value for my Mom's 2013 X5 35i Premium? Wait, she just dumped the Porsche for the BMW, and now wants out of that? I must have forgotten the back story but seems vaguely familiar. What us replacing this one?
Your memory is better than you think . So she dumped the Porsche due to it's high maintenance costs. Picked up a 2013 X5 (previous body style). Initially liked the X5, but it didn't drive as nicely as the Porsche. X5 also doesn't have some of the features (Blind Spot Monitor, Nicer resolution Backup Camera) that she had on the Cayenne. I know it sounds silly, but she got used to having certain things and then started to miss them when they were gone.
Currently she looked at an ML 350 which she liked (last month) and just yesterday test drove a Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited which she really liked. The dealer has 3 models that are almost identical (Loaded Limited, Overland, & Summit). He's saying the only difference is the Air Suspension which "you only need if you go off road." He's pushing the loaded Limited. Pricing is not a problem as my parents have a friend who is a retired Chryco Employee. He'll give them a Friends & Family certificate. Trade value on the X5 seems exceedingly low. MB dealer offered her $39K. Jeep dealer offered her $31K. Q says $47K is the trade in value. So Mom & Dad aren't going to take a MASSIVE depreciation hit just to dump the X5. So we'll see what happens.

I'm looking at some CPO Audi Q7 TDi's for the Mrs. Hoping you can help with pricing. I'm located in Bloomington, IN 47408. Selection isn't much here so I'm looking at shipping or fly n drive.
First is 14 Q7 TDI prestige, s line, towing, 21 inch wheels . It's silver with black guts. It's an ex loaner with 10k miles. It's in Atlanta. Asking $60500 and not very negotiable since it's CPO but they've been trying to sell it since April. They say it's had no paintwork . Clean car fax.
Next possibility is 14 Q7 TDI prestige, s line, s line plus (21 inch wheels, blacked out grill and roof bars), towing. Glacier white with black guts. In Utah. CPO asking $62250. 9500 miles - car was a 6 month lease so I suspect it was a loaner as well. No accidents . Clean car fax. Only for sale for a month.
Please let me know realistic pricing.

Hey guys,
So I'm still on the hunt for a 2011+ Volvo S60. I've had a few close deals, but most dealers are asking crazy money for the T6 AWDs. Truth be told, I'd prefer a T5, but it's impossible to find an AWD with xenons. I found one, but I think it's ridiculously overpriced. Is anyone able to look up what a specific model was purchased for? 2013 Volvo S60 I noticed it has more than 5k miles (shows 7k in the picture). Also, the T5s don't seem to hold their value as well, and it is almost a 2 year old car. I'm thinking more like $26k... am I unreasonable? Thoughts? I'm trying to get an idea how long they've had it to see if maybe they're ready to get rid of it, but they don't have a car fax which generally shows when they listed it for sale.

Hey guys, I'm looking to trade in my 05 Infiniti g35 on a new one. It has 81k miles, sedan 6mt w/navigation. prev owner had an accident, rear end damage, airbags did not deploy is on car fax. Looks like they painted or replaced the rear bumper. Anybody know what I should expect on trade in for it? Thanks
So CarMax noticed that the hood and front fender bolts of my '14 S4 had been "spun" meaning to them they had been taken off to be repaired/replaced/repainted. 2 panels was enough for them to say it wouldn't be sold at CarMax, but wholesaled/auctioned. Funny because Mercury hired an appraiser who wrote down it could be sold Audi Certified Used despite the $22,000 in damage and repairs. They've only offered $1,000 or $1,500 in diminished value, yet CarMax's offer was $37K for a car it took $55k to move off the lot 8 months earlier. Depreciate could be reasonably considered to be as high as $1K per month or 1,000 miles in the first year. For some reason Mercury can't understand that math and offer me $10K in DV without suing them. Hiring my own legitimate appraiser now and inspection scheduled next Tuesday.

I currently lease a 2012 Suburban 4wd LS All Star edition My lease is up in April 2015. It will have 29,000 miles on it when I go to the dealer. It is in excellent condition. I negotiated the original sales price way down, and the resulting residual buyout is $21,000. I see that 3 year old used suburbans go on the lot for $36-$40,000. What would a reasonable offer from the dealer be if I wanted to use the equity in my suburban to put down on a new one? $36,000 value - $21,000 residual = $15,000? Thanks in advance......
Why are you ditching the Suburban so fast? Right now you "owe" The payments from now until April 2015 plus the residual value of your Suburban. You'll have to get the truck appraised by the dealership to see how much it is worth right now. If it is worth more than the remaining payments plus the residual, then you will have positive equity. Just because 3 year old used Suburbans are selling for $36 - $40K doesn't mean that a dealer will give you that on a trade. The expert (@qbrozen) will tell you what its auction value is. I'm willing to be that they'll offer you $27.5K on the trade.
What region of the country are you in? Most of the used Suburbans you see are LS, LT, or LTZ models?

I'm on Long Island NY. Not looking to dump it now. Just trying to get an idea of what I'll be looking at when the lease is up in April. It's an LS, but with the All Star package. Meaning chrome everything and 20" chrome wheels I looked up nada and kbb values for today's market. It says around $29-$30,000. That's for trade in. I just don't know what "real world" numbers I should expect. I could buy it in April for $21k, and then turn around and sell it privately for $30k+. I just don't want to pay taxes to buy it, then taxes on the sale , plus the hassle of dealing with private buyers.
Forgot to mention there are no "All Star editions" for sale anywhere near me. Most 2011-2012 used ones are LT trim with stock wheels. Sticker on the truck was $50k I put nothing down, payments are $479 a month. Residual is $21k Never had a lease return with equity in it , so I'm not sure what to do Thanks again for the help

So, what was the selling price for the truck?
The new ones are very expensive. This should help the used ones.
Is the All Star one a higher end model than the LT?
Is the All Star one a higher end model than the LT?
No, definitely not. The "trim levels" are LS, LT, and LTZ in that order, with LTZ being at the top of the heap. "All Star Edition" is a "package" of options, including upgraded wheels and other good stuff. Exactly what comes in the package depends on the year model, and the specific vehicle (Silverado vs Suburban vs Tahoe). In this part of the world, the "Texas Edition" is the most popular package.

I'm under my miles on my lease by about 15k, lease is up in 3 months.
Thanks!

g35: tough one to pin down. low miles, but an accident and manual. I'll take a WAG they'll hit you at $6k.
Suburban: right now? 29-30 is about right. 7 months from now? No idea.
S5: maybe 39-40k at the moment.

Any idea of trade in value on the 2012 Chevy suburban I mentioned a few posts before this?
Thanks...
My bad!
Thanks again
Am I the only one who has no clue what an "S5" is?
Audi S5... 2 door coupe. V8 now a V6T (SC)
So, what was the selling price for the truck?
The new ones are very expensive. This should help the used ones.
Is the All Star one a higher end model than the LT?
No, definitely not. The "trim levels" are LS, LT, and LTZ in that order, with LTZ being at the top of the heap. "All Star Edition" is a "package" of options, including upgraded wheels and other good stuff. Exactly what comes in the package depends on the year model, and the specific vehicle (Silverado vs Suburban vs Tahoe). In this part of the world, the "Texas Edition" is the most popular package.
What can a friend expect to pay for the following:
2014 Audi A5 Cabriolet Premium Plus Quattro
Tiptronic
8000 miles
Phantom Black Pearl
Brown Leather Interior
Premium Plus Package
Audi MMI Navigation
Audi side assist
Floor Mats
Original MSRP was 55k.
Seattle area.
Thanks!
i have no real solid info to go on. Only 1 has sold in recent months, and that was in NJ back in March with fiewer than 5k miles. It went for $39,900.

My friend settled on a sale price of right around 43,5, which seems like a great deal to me.
