An addendum to my previous comment; as an HPDE instructor I spend a lot of time in the passenger seat of a student's car. I have friends who race professionally who say they wouldn't instruct if they were paid- never mind for free.
I guess I'm too dumb to be scared.

No hybrid or EV experience for me. One day.. I have driven a few diesel passenger cars but not recently.

The only diesel I’ve driven was yellow and was full of screaming kids.😳

The thing about EV styling that I don’t like is the fact that there is no grill. I know it isn’t necessary, but I like to see holes in the front of a car!

The tonneau I ordered arrived today and it was very simple to install. I’ll have to get back to you about the soft opener for the tailgate, as it got dark last night and I decided I’d reached a good stopping point.

Got a message today that my Model Y is ready for delivery. Seemed like a good idea earlier in the Summer when we placed the order, but I think I’ll pass on it (and lose the $250 deposit unfortunately). I would actually prefer it over my Polestar, but the value just isn’t the same as it was a year ago. Other than upgraded wheels, this is the same as the one we bought (and flipped) just over a year ago, and it’s priced almost $20k higher. Besides, used ones (even slightly used) are finally priced lower than new…what a crazy concept!
