Re: 2017 mdx Car starts without pressing the brake pedal
You may need a professional level scan tool for this. The first thing to do is pull codes from every module on the car and see what is being set. Then you need to access scan data in the Engine Control module, the driver's side dash MICU if accessible and the Keyless Access/TPMS control unit. Find the brake light switch input to those modules and try hitting and releasing the brake pedal and see if the circuit status agrees with the actual pedal position.
By chance, is there a trailer harness attached to the vehicle?
You may still have a brake lamp issue. You will need to test and be certain that the brake output circuit, and the input circuit o the above modules is resting at 0v. Do you have access to the schematic for this system?

Poopie bags are very nice, purple, the wife's favorite color.
Actually, similar use case for the headphones, only use them for movie watching on JetBlue, appreciate the ANC feature (I currently have an old pair of ANC Sony's, which work fine. But, hey the B & O are on sale and tax free! There, justified).

Tire Rack says that Dutch tire company Vredestein makes their top rated touring tires. The Michelin CC2 is a close second, while Goodyear's new WeatherReady2 is a close third.

Dealers can also mark up the MF by .00040 for extra profit.
Hmm, ok. This was through BMW Finance and they told me .00150 and yea, they did markup to .00190 but gave me an extra $2k off the car to compensate the bump in MF.
Maybe I can check my paperwork to see if they outsourced it?
I was happy to be under .00200, but I figured I’d let you all know what happened to me today just for info from our side of things.

I ate the last of the summer corn today. My parents go to a place maybe 20 minutes away from their house. The growers will tell you where they buy the seeds and what kind, so it's not a trade secret. The problem is one of terroir... the corn only tastes that good when grown on that specific farm. It was great!————————————————
Nothing beats locally grown corn this time of the year. When we lived in our first house there was a small farm about 1 1/2 miles away that had the best corn in the area. Folks came from miles around to buy corn at that farm. There were times when folks showed up a little late and they didn’t have anymore corn for sale that day, so they had to return the next day. They picked their corn early in the morning and it was put on sale in their driveway by 9:00 AM. Most of the time it was gone by early afternoon. We didn’t have that problem since Son #1 went to school with one of the farmers sons. So my son would call his friend and ask him to set aside a couple dozen ears and I’d get them on the way home from work if Mrs. j couldn’t get there earlier. It never hurts to know someone, even when buying corn. Oh yeah, they had great tomatoes too.
Those days are gone. The kids (2 boys and 1 girl) didn’t want to carry on the corn/tomato biz. The farm is now an upscale housing development. The kids are probably living on their own private island where it’s too hot to grow corn and tomatoes.

Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
Congrats to Mrs. @breld! 2025 or 2026? I pulled up the configurator on the MB site, and I think white is a good choice, given the available 2026 colors. I really like Mystic Blue Metallic, but it wouldn't be worth the $6,500 cost to me. The available acoustic comfort package sounds nice... My build was right at $90k with the fancy paint. It’s a 2025. They’re discounting it a few thousand and then there’s a $9,500 lease credit, so we’ll lease it and then likely “convert” it to a financing deal. The credit makes it the same cost as a GLE 350, so seems like a good way to go.
She really liked the Twilight Blue, but it was pretty hard to find, and once she started looking at all the options, she found she preferred the white colors with the “night” package.
