I like the Buick Enclave better but that may be because you can get it with a white interior with blue accents, which would make most people's heads explode. The GMC has a Subaru-ish vertical tablet in the center of its dash which I don't particularly care for, but that's just me.
I know this is crazy but what are y'alls thoughts on the Acadia?

Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
I manage risk for a living so my take is based on that experience but, there's a lot of variables to that decision aside from the stigma of driving a car with a branded title.Sure it would have a salvage title but who cares if you drive it until the wheels fall off. You, me and a couple of others are the only ones on here who would consider such heresy -- everything must be pristine, which is part of what keeps the car industry bumping along.
Is the damage mainly cosmetic or is the car's structural integrity compromised? What's the reputation of the shop who repaired it? Can I insure it? Do I feel safe putting my family in it? Is it my primary means of transportation?
YMMV

And if the car gets fixed, he doesn't get to punch his CCBA card. We need to get our priorities straight around here!@cdnpinhead said:

When you are dreaming, what's another $7,000? For the past few years I've LOVED the look of the 911 Targa4 GTS. Last night while helping my sister look for a new SUV to replace her GLC300 4MATIC, my 18 year old son and I were "building" a Rogue for her. She is going to get a Rogue Rock Creek from Aronochi on LH. Afterwards he jumped to the Porsche website. I noticed the only way to get a "4" 911 is on the Carrera 4 GTS, the Carrera 4 GTS Cab, & the Carrera 4 Targa GTS. I noticed that the starting price of the 911 Targa 4 GTS is a staggering $190K. For a mere $7K more I can get myself a 911 Turbo. Or I'll have to wait for @breld to get bored of his '17 911, then he'll pick up a Turbo, and I still won't be able to afford one. A guy can dream can't he?
911 Turbo and Turbo S are also AWD

Re: Edmunds Members - Cars and Conversations
Had my appointment for the A/C annual checkup.
Guy said everything was ok.
He recommnded some upsells. An ionizer and a soft start device.
I had him install the soft start kit.
Hopefully it gets me a little more time because the startup was pretty abrupt and loud. Seems quieter now.
He showed me screen shots of the startup voltage. 85 volts before and 46 after.

How is my work? I even zip tied the wires. I turned the system to off inside the house and pulled the disconnect. The fan was really a hassle to get off the motor but there were no new 2 blade ones available except a 4 blade with a higher pitch but I was worried it would cause too much drag on the 1/8 hp motor.
I did get the yellow wire off of the top of the capacitor.

"Regarding the need for oxygen, lithium-ion batteries can generate oxygen during thermal runaway. When the metal oxides in the battery's cathode are heated, they decompose and release oxygen gas. This oxygen can sustain a fire, making it more challenging to extinguish.
However, it is important to note that the initial fire is not dependent on atmospheric oxygen, as the reaction is self-sustaining once thermal runaway begins.
"In summary, lithium-ion batteries can catch fire due to thermal runaway caused by factors such as overcharging, physical damage, or manufacturing defects. While they can generate oxygen during thermal runaway, the initial fire does not require atmospheric oxygen."
All that can be done is to cool the reaction.
