@sda Nice bike!
This is my 1973 Raleigh Grand Prix, which I purchased new. I had a local bike shop upgrade the derailleurs along with new tires in 2014. I guess that I've always leaned towards imports.

Mine's a Super Grand Prix, bought new in 1977, up in the attic now:

I really like the gray on a GTI. That would be my pick.
Of course, I want a stick, so it would have to be a 2024. I'd have to try out the seats. My GTI has two piece with separate headrests, and the new ones are one-piece.

Now I'm even more confused than I normally am. How far away from you was this dealership?
Dealership was 3.5 hours from home. I found the DL when I was 1.5 hrs from home (or 2 hrs away from dealership)

Re: Mystery car pix
Also in Bellingham notice all the cars have an "F" license plate prefix. Until around 1980, WA plates had the letter part of the plate sequence determined by county, in descending order by population rank (A=King, B=Pierce, C=Spokane, etc). F was Whatcom county.Florida and Tennessee did something similar. In Florida I don’t recall the exact sequence. I remember the license plates started with a number. 1 was Miami, the largest city, 4 was St. Petersburg, my hometown. In TN, same format. 1 was Memphis, 2 Nashville, 3 Knoxville, etc.
