Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
What timing chain issues? I've not heard of any, and a search comes up empty.
Wow, an Equinox vs. a Camry? That’s worlds apart in terms of reliability. Just the timing chain issues alone with the Equinox would frighten me away from that one. The only thing the Equinox has over the Camry to my mind is the ease of egress. Camry is low to the ground.

Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
The “Boulder” interior is definitely more of a medium gray than a light grey.
The light grey textured material
That’s on the door panel is also is on the inside seat cushion bolster. They also put it on that waterfall shelf that’s over the passenger side footwell.
The drilled out aluminum (I think) brake pedal & accelerator are a cool & sporty touch. The heated, leather wrapped steering wheel is very thick and feels great.
Overall 1st impressions are very positive. I do like the look of the car. The dark grey with black trim, black wheels, & the blackout emblems really came together. It looks sharp.
The seats are comfortable, all the materials are soft touch. There is plenty of room for the driver and passenger who don’t need to put the seat back anywhere near all the way in order for the back seat passenger Wireless CarPlay connects instantly and the touch screen is so much faster and more responsive than my Tacoma & Highlander. Everything is controlled by a physical button except the radio which is touch screen. However there is a knob that controls the volume as well as on/off.
It drives great. The suspension is composed and taut without feeling stiff. Everything is very smooth. The acceleration, steering, handling. While it won’t win any stop light Grand Prix, it accelerates with confidence.

@nyccarguy how is the trade going to work? Are you going to try selling it elsewhere if they don’t give you what you want?
Yes. I’ll be happy if they give me what the buyout is there. If they can’t, then I’ll sell it to one of the other 3rd party places.
Re: Edmunds Members - Cars and Conversations
The driver of the B7 was pretty slick. We both filtered through slower traffic without haphazardly jumping from lane to lane. I was finally caught up in a group of Anti-Destination League members and by the time I escaped the B7 was long gone.@roadburner said:
Today's trip back from Hilton Head; The average speed is very low due to being stuck in stop and go traffic for over an hour. I did bump it back up somewhat by having a bit of a play with a G12 Alpina B7. Its driver was being charitable as the B7 had the C43 beat on top speed by 50 mph...Very impressive, especially given your C43’s performance chops and your heavy right foot. On that note, the C43 ‘s design is very subtle and sleeper-ish with no giant intakes or fender flares. Otter than the bi-turbo badges on the side and the quad exhaust in the back, it’s very much a sleeper.
Most of my quicker cars have been sleepers; even my Mazdaspeed 3 flew under the radar (except among the import/JDM community).
Re: Mystery car pix
That’s a 60 Lincoln. They also had that type roll down rear backlight.Beside the blue and white Pontiac on the right. I’m going by the drop down rear window. Thought it was only available on the Turnpike Cruiser. I could be mistaken.

Re: Postwar Studebakers
On "Happy Days" where Mr. C replaces his DeSoto with a Studebaker and says something along the lines that he wanted to try something sporty, he should have had one of those!

Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
The SE has historically been the best looking Camry model IMO.
My mom had an 09 SE white over grey with a sunroof and nice alloys. The grill and other things were black. Always thought that was a sharp car.
