Re: Edmunds Members - Cars and Conversations

I thought they were called Fargo's because you didn't know how far it would go!

Bought by Chryco in 1928.
Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
You could do what Hoovie did with one of his range rover’s and bury it for YouTube.

What could go wrong?😄Here is an insane thought:

That’s why I hate doing it.😭You don’t even get to drive a variety of different cars? Doesn’t sound like as much fun just driving a van instead!
Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
I had searched on reliability before posting it. Not much out there on first glance that I found imposing. I mean you EXPECT suspension and electrical issues on those, so I was more interested in major issues or engine-out kind of faults. Why do I like the vehicles that are headaches for most? I’m like a woman who likes bad boys. “I can change it! You’ll see!”

Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
Kind of like "that idea is sofa king bad!"I have no idea what that means.

Have you learned nothing from Doug DeMuro, Tyler Hoover, & The Car Wizard videos?
I find all of them annoying, so no.

Could be fun while it lasts. Which likely won’t be very long. At least Q can work on it himself. Hopefully he has plenty of free time.
You have touched on a key problem of mine. Not enough time for all the vehicles I have.

Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
The farthest I ever did in one shot was from Saskatoon to North Vancouver, just a hair under 1000 miles, in about 15 hours, through the Canadian Rockies in the middle of the night -- two gas stops. I used to run Edmonton/Phoenix fairly regularly, as well as Vancouver/Phoenix in around 30 hours, but there was usually a nap (hour or so) stop along the way. I usually timed the trips to do as much driving overnight as possible, to limit the traffic.Longest I had was 17 hours, Cincinnati to Naples. Supposed to leave by 9 am, but didn’t leave until Noon. I drove most of the first 14 hours, but one hour into resting: “hey, Dan is really tired, can you take over?” So, drove the last two hours, (3-5 am) with one eye open. 😕
For those who don't know, the time you're most likely to go to sleep at the wheel is just after sunrise, if you've been driving all night.
Those days are done.
