Re: Edmunds Members - Cars and Conversations
————————————————They're delivering it this afternoon. It's tricky to get a large TV down the stairs to my Home Theater room as there are two sets of stairs with a sharp turn between the two. Not that it's particularly heavy. Just awkward the way it turns with a relatively low ceiling.Me three. Bought our TV and a couple of appliances from them. They’ve been great. It helps they are only a mile from our place.@kyfdx said:
@graphicguy How much? What size?I've had pretty good luck with Best Buy, over the years
Me, too. I’ve purchased two 55” smart TV’s from them over the past 8 years and have had zero problems. They have salespeople, for the most part, that are pretty astute at knowing their products - especially smart TV’s.
But, got the last one down there. So, it's doable.
Best Buy went through a period there that they just weren't very competitive. Seems they're fixing that, or at least trying hard to do so.
I doubt they’re going to carry it down your steps. I think they’ll slide it down the steps on it’s side then stand it up on it’s end when they get to the landing then slide it down the last few steps on it’s side like they did for the first 6 steps. Then carry it to where you want it set up (maybe even slide it there too). At least that’s the way I’d do it. Gravity can be your friend when you think it through.
Easy peasy.
FWIW, if my knees don’t start feeling better, I’m considering sliding down the steps myself.

I watched that. All I am short is Angel, Charlie, most of the tools, and a fork lift. I do have a wife with a bad knee, and a hand truck, so I should be all set?

Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
I’ve always been in the camp that it’s better to KEEP things clean rather than GET things clean. Kinda like an “ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure”. Must be an old fashioned way of going through life. But, everyone is entitled to treat their cars the way they choose to treat them.I so much agree with this, but it all falls apart once the spouse is in the car, which means that my wishes are moot on any long trips, which means I might as well forget about it.
I wasn’t trying to get any converts when I mentioned how I do it, I was only stating how I do it. However, given this is a car site, I’m surprised I’m the odd ball about this.

I must be missing something. I mentioned previously I watch the YouTube channel for J&S AutoHaus in NJ. Feel like they're a little sleazy, but I watch anyway.
I'm missing something? I see these 20 somethings coming in to buy Cyber Trucks, BMW Ms, Benz G Wagons, etc. Inheritance? Drug Dealers? I saw one guy in his 20s being quoted a $1,700/month car payment and he didn't even flinch.
Have salaries bumped that much? Maybe I need to "un-retire"!

Oh yeah, it's an LG C4 OLED TV. Will be delivered tomorrow.
I just don't know about that display. The screen quality doesn't look a bit better than the screen on which I was watching the video!

I’m all for teaching lessons. Sometimes subtle ones. So, you could always try eating a hot fudge sundae, with extra hot fudge, on her favorite couch.

I'm not getting in the way of teenagers and eating so as long as it's not going to drip, stick, stain, or stink up the car it's not a problem. That's what they make upholstery cleaning machines and leather cleaner for.————————————————
