Re: Edmunds Members - Cars and Conversations
Am I allowed to say "Go Bucks" in here before the championship game tonight against Notre Dame?

Re: Edmunds Members - Cars and Conversations
I forgot. The Best Buy credit card was the other thing he wouldn't let go.I kept seeing you guys talking about buying things at Best Buy and how happy you seemed to be with the experience.I'm with you. I HATE BEST BUY.
I haven't been to my local Best Buy in quite a few years because of unfavorable experiences. I figured maybe they have changed,
I went there a few days ago to get a laptop, Microsoft Office, and a printer. The sales guy kept trying to sell me a $50 warranty to protect against price drops. There was something else too that I can't remember. It cost $100 or $150.
I told him a few times that I wasn't interested. He kept it up.
When we got to the place where you pay, he asked again - twice.
Then he started on the extended warranty on the computer and the printer. If I was alone I would have probably left then, but my secretary was with me and this stuff is for her.
Really, really irritating. It must work or they wouldn't do it I suppose.

I told him no and he gave me a song and dance that if I had gotten it the repair wouldn't cost me anything. I tried to tell him that I am actually saving money by paying the $80 to get my laptop fixed over the $150 that the warranty would have cost me. He couldn't understand that I would have spent more for the warranty than the repair.

How about all those people that lost because of the safety at the end of the KC game?Go birds!
So that was a big plus today.
On the negative side, I missed an 11-leg parlay by 1 lousy yard. Would have taken $338 for a $2.50 bet. Came down to the last Ravens drive. Needed Lamar to get 40 rushing yards. He ended the game with 39. If he had run in the 2-pt conversion, I would have won AND they would have tied the game! Frustrating. I’ve been hoping for an Eagles-Ravens Super Bowl for years.

That thing deserves a couple jiggers of bourbon. Where is your sense of ownership, man?

my son just stopped by to pick up their dog. He spent the weekend while they were having a getaway in vermont. So he drove from mid-VT over to us in NY, in his black Telluride. Not sure I have ever seen a car that dirty. even the roof was coated white with salt.

Re: I spotted an (insert obscure car name here) classic car today!
According to this non-descript FB page, this is a '68 Cadillac deVille convertible. No mention of AI, LOL.
