unfortunately, it seems that the incentives apply to the sedan only.
  • jcjacob21jcjacob21 Member Posts: 7
FYI, they never offered any incentives on the 2004 coupe. I doubt NNA will offer any incentives this year either.

Im looking at an 03 Sedan with 11000 miles with NAV.

    Is 26500 a good price?

Well, after seeing the amazing .00113 MF on the G35x, I went in to Holman in South Jersey, just to see if I could get my car at a price I could stomach. In 1 hour, this is the deal I worked out:

Bottom line $500 below invoice and they bought my '03 G35 sedan with 9 months left on my lease.

'05 G35x Twilight Blue/Stone w/Premium C, trunk mat, & splash guards. It was a pre-price increase car but post destination fee increase.

Invoice was $33,815 and MSRP was $36,940, purchase price was $33,315.

I picked it up last saturday and just paid 1st month (only $15 more than current lease payment- even with adding premium package that I did not have on my '03 Sedan), and registration fees (NJ requires you to pay up to 4 years registration up front, but then no re-registration necessary each year.

I am as happy as a clam in mud. I LOVE the intelligent key system. The keys never come out of my pocket. I never thought such a feature would be so great. I now have gotten so lazy, that when I have to drive my wife's car, I actually get mad that I have to remove the keys from my pocket. I can't wait to see the AWD in action.

The AWD is the real reason I replaced my RWD '03. New (to me anyway) house's driveway way too steep for RWD with even 1 inch of snow.

Will they accept orders without the prices being released yet? If so, how would you know how much it would run especially with the new add-ons on the options?

I am very intersted in a 2005 G35 coupe with the premium package and navigation. I really just want the best deal possible. I will be calling Holman Infiniti in South Jersey today. I live in the Philadelphia area. Do you think it is possible to get a Coupe for 500 dollars under invoice or is that just crazy? Please let me know what your thoughts are.
  • smartshopper1smartshopper1 Member Posts: 4
What did you pay for car (model, options, etc). What was the actual invoice on the car and did they actually take $1,000 off of that? In Houston they are playing games and trying to tell me that Edmunds' invoice pricing is not correct when I am offering invoice less $1,000. I actually had one dealership tell me that my offer doesn't factor in the free 2 year maintenance cost to the dealership. So, buyer beware, the dealerships are actually building that cost into your final cost. Just curious if it's worth the drive to Dallas for a better deal.

Thank you! Now if someone could do something about the price of gas. I swear, it's always something. :)
  • tomdtomd Member Posts: 87
So if I may ask, what were the terms of your lease, i.e., length, capcost reduction, payment with sales tax?
  • smartyjonessmartyjones Member Posts: 22
I just purchased a brand new Infiniti G35 AWD with the following specs. Premium C, Navigation, Wood trim, and Trunk mats. For the edmunds invoice minus 500 dollars. There was a questionable 99 dollar document fee and a 88 dollar prep fee. Is that a good price for the car. Please let me know what you guys think of that. Holman is in South Jersey. It all took five minutes to iron out.

I am in the market to lease a new 2005 G35 coupe. However, I am not sure how to (or even if I can) ascertain and negotiate the money factor and negotiate the residual value.

I want both to be competitive, but I am not sure what is a good value...can someone please let me know what is a good money factor and residual value for a new 2005 G35 coupe with a rear spoiler, 6 disc package and sport wheels?

The listed MSRP is just shy of $38,000 and I am not sure what a good lease rate would be. Help there is appreciated, as well.

    Thanks in advance.

    How'd you get below invoice?
  • chacha6chacha6 Member Posts: 1
I will be buying a 2005 g35 coupe, auto, prem. pack. 18"s. for invoice price. The easiest way i have found is to use your costco, or sam's club membership card and they have a car buying program where the discounts are already done, no need to haggle. I submitted a request for what i want, and a local dealer in los angeles, offered me the membership deal which varies depending what package you want. The way i want mine it was $2900 off msrp. So once i knew what the lowest price was, i called a diff. dealer and they offered me invoice price @ 33,500. I would like to know if anyone can do better than that. And fyi I wouldnt drive outta the way to get a good deal, i want a local dealership where i can take advantage of the "loaner" car when mine is getting serviced.
  • yassyyassy Member Posts: 70
loaner cars are standard no matter where you buy the infiniti

It is infiniti's policy to provide you with car anytime car is in for problem under warranty.

Infiniti buys the cars and gives them to dealers, so dont let that be a deterrent
  • teamboultonteamboulton Member Posts: 27
There is another forum on Edmunds called "Lease Questioins - Ask Here." It is very helpful. Car_man can give you the current money factors and residuals.
  • t0phert0pher Member Posts: 4
According to Edmunds, there is no marketing support for the G35X (X-model - AWD)

So how are you getting them under invoice?

    Grossie,
sorry for my slow reply. If you are happy with the Bose system, I am happy for you. The many loaner G35s that I have had with the Bose system have been pretty disappointing, especially in the medium and high frequencies. I think I know the reason for this situation as I have exposed the speakers which are part of the Bose system in my Corvette Z06. In short, there are no tweeters at all in these speakers.

I am not trying to be cruel butyou should consider that the reason you are satisfied with the Bose sound system in your G35 may be that your hearing is not so good. Not that my hearing is great, either, as I am 55 and the effects of age on hearing are well documented. But I can tell you that I am used to listening to much, much better sound systems than the Bose systems that Infiniti installs in our cars.

Have you heard the Dynaudio in the new VWs? Three words...

    Oh...my...god.

Makes Mark Levinson sound like Audiovox.
  • zynduraizyndurai Member Posts: 5
With premium package, splash guards, XM, trunk mat, and tint: 37800 out the door. It's a little more than I wanted to pay, but I was left without a car since I sold my old one already.
  • grossiegrossie Member Posts: 41
    Redz-

As I said before, I'm no audiophile, so maybe I just don't know what I'm supposed to be hearing. Perhaps as you suggested age does play some role here, but since I'm almost 2 decades younger than you who would you guess has the better hearing acuity? :surprise:

Just kidding really. I think for the average listener this is a pretty good system. If you are into very high fidelity systems I'm sure it's not adequate.

My husband is dying for a red G35 coupe. I thought I would look for one online before his October 17th birthday. We live one hour south of Indy, so your experience with the dealers in the midwest is very helpful. Did you post the details of your purchase and have I missed it? Is there just one Infiniti dealer in Louisville? Did you try Cincinnati at all? Did you get close to invoice price? I'm wondering if I should wait until Sept. to buy when the dealers may be trying to move inventory. Any advice would be appreciated by this newbie!

Hubby's wishes: Red G35 coupe with rear spoiler and premium package--any other must have options from current owners?

    Thanks a bunch.
  • kxhkxh Member Posts: 7
There seems to only be 3 infiniti dealers in my area.. Ramsey Infiniti, Lynn's Infiniti of Bloomfield (soon there will be one in TOtowa right by my house but is still under standstill construction), and Salerno Duane Infiniti. I want to order an '06 6MT in Septmeber and was wondering if people have had good or bad experience buying from any of these dealers or if anyone knows something about any of these dealers that i should know.
  • nyrefugeenyrefugee Member Posts: 35
"any other must have options from current owners? "

I am of the opinion that the one and only required option of the coupe is the 6 spd manual transmission. With it you get 18 more horsepower and the two sports suspension packages including the 19 inch wheels for free. The 19 inch wheels are a must because they (i) make the car look much better (ii) improve grip without causing some of the problems of fatter tires.

But make sure your husband test drives the car on a long drive ... the sport suspension and wheels make the ride a bit hard and uncomfortable for some.

I got a deal for a g35 coupe 6spd M/T, premium package, xm radio, mats, splash guards that would be $37,100 MSRP for $35,500 here in Michigan. I had initially decided on a wrx sti that was priced at $33,000 but I thought I'd take the g35 for a test drive. Definitely doesn't actually compete with the raw power of the sti but then again I don't think it was supposed to. If the sti was a 6year old Dennis the menace type tomboy then the g35 was an extremely sweet mid 20's lady that still had the yearning to be the carefree teenager but with obligations to her responsibilities. Hmm, I'm not so sure if that was an appropriate comparison but I just wanted to exclamate that the sti was raw fun but the g35 knew how to please. So this is what I used to get the deal. Telling them I decided on the sti but after the test drive was willing to stretch my budget just so far to the point that would be somewhat fair. And of course the fact that the newer 06's were coming in also. It's still way over invoice but from what I've heard is that infiniti dealers were pretty notorious for not budging from MSRP. A lot of the times I think the sympathy deals work...at least for me. With that yearning sad expression on your face you tell them "If only, if only it were at this price I would without a second thought take it right off the shelf." Of course you tell them initially you had your heart set on a lower version but after seeing THAT you just couldn't resist the thought of...

It worked for me when I got my D100 nikon camera when I was gonna get the D70.

Not to knock you for your deal but to others, reading this, who are buying an '05... he paid a tad much... like about $1,000 too much. Sorry to be honest but I want others to get a good deal. On an '05 6mt coupe you should be about $200-300 over invoice (and invoice is about $3,300 below MSRP)... and at least one guy above paid less than invoice so he says. For other models below invoice is the norm. Read a lot of the above posts before rushing out to buy a car. Hope you enjoy your new ride!
  • gperrgperr Member Posts: 163
I really doubt you will get a coupe for that price. The sedans seem to be slower sellers, and they have plenty of sedans, don't know about stock on coupes.

    tomd,

    36 months/12k miles
    59% Residual
    .00113 MF
    $415/month
    MSRP $36940.00
I gave them Registration fees (3 years) ~$250
    1st Month pmt= $415
Cap Cost reduction of ~ $80
Rolled sales tax, Bank Fee, and Doc fees into lease.
PP was $500 below invoice. I think I listed it in my original post, but I do not have the #s in front of me, see my original post.
Pre price increase car (before the $150 increase), '05 G35x w/ premium C, splash guards and trunk mats.
They bought my '03 Sedan (sport package) with 9 months left on lease.

Sorry haven't checked the messages for a few days. I didn't try Cincy because I didn't want the front license plate holes and Louisville was recommended on this site. Besides the Indy dealership, I tried Ft. Wayne who wouldn't budge either. I've never had a more pleasant buying experience as I had with SS in L'ville. They don't have much inventory left in the coupes but they can get it for you. I offered them $2,600 less than the sticker knowing they didn't have the car there and said I wasn't paying the extra $3-400 to go get it. I would suggest going to their website(through infiniti and search for a dealership in our area) then telling them what exactly you want...color, options, etc. They''ll ask you for a price and just tell them what you think is fair.

If it were me, I wouldn't wait until September. Inventory will be a lot lower and exactly what you want is harder to find, but that's just my opinion. They had several in Indy in red but they all had the sport package. I didn't care for the wheels but I think that's more of a guy thing. The only thing I don't care for is the small trunk. Makes you think twice before you buy much at once. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Can you bring it to any dealer ship to get a loaner or is it just the one you purchased at? I know this is the case with the BMW.

I am thinking about buying the G35X AWD.

    Thanks :)

Not bad! You ar in NJ right? Did you go to Douglas in Summit? I just went there tonight for a test drive I am also looking at the G35x AWD sedan. Any advice?

I bought my G35x on June 1 from Infiniti of Norwood (MA). I paid approx. $900 over invoice, and I was pleased with that. I bought a silver exterior, stone interior G35x with the premium package and XM. Getting satellite radio was the best purchase ever! I have had my car for a little over two months ago and can't believe how much I love it. Get compliments all of the time, and when the snow comes, I'll still be able to enjoy it.

Looking at njg35's post, just wanted to mention that end-July I bought G35X PremC Nav Wood Splash guards trunk mat at 35,000 + TTL, was about 37700 OTD (see my post moodgard, "Infiniti G35: Prices Paid & Buying Experience" #2662, 24 Jul 2005 2:16 pm) ; I don't know how the numbers are working out, but if you wait 5-6 days you can get a very good deal. (I'm in central NJ)

Stopped by to say also I have 2200 miles on it, I still don't like the Nav system but I got used to it. I have my home address programmed on it, but near my neighborhood streets, it asks me to go in the opposite direction! But using it for local driving out-of-state has been well worth it.

I'm very happy with the car otherwise. Had some real stormy days, handled great. I like the intelligent keys on prem pkg, wish there was also an ignition key remote on it.

    Good luck guys.

i just got a price quote for 34,599 for a car that lists at 37,410 on long island.
    is this a good price?
2005 black/black coupe performance susp. and premium package.
Do you think i should ask them to throw in a spoiler and tints(or is that asking too much)?
    Thanx,
    Tom
  • jetta6ajetta6a Member Posts: 33
They will accept orders, you will negotiate the price later when its published, but theres lot less room to negotiate on an order than on an off the lot car. Speaking of which the 2006 G35 coupe details and pictures have been released!!! Check out www.infinitinews.com and check out the "photos and multimedia" section for pictures! Id personally like the 06 a lot and I am glad I waited.

I was looking for some input from anyone. I'm looking at leasing either the G35x or the 6speed manual sedan 2WD. I live in Chicago so I have to deal with winters here so the x appeals to me. Can anyone tell me how well it handles in snow, or foul weather? I have a 3 series which does pretty good with winter tires, but AWD is always better in snow.

Also, does anyone know of a good dealer in the south, south/west suburbs? I'm closest to Infiniti of Orland Park. Has anyone gotten near invoice pricing on either of these cars? Which would offer a better lease deal? There seem to be a lot more G35x's at most dealers, so I'm thinking I could get a better price on it than the 2WD version.

    Thanks for any help!
  • klpeelklpeel Member Posts: 46
There are pros and cons to the G35x vs the 2WD, as with all things. First the downsides. The AWD system adds a little weight (though the engine and suspension are more than up to the task of handling it), hurts gas mileage a little, does not come with the sports package, and adds cost. The upsides might make this an attractive car for you, though. The AWD system is unusual in that it maximizes performance in both dry and slippery settings. From stops, the car accelerates initially with 80% to the rear wheels and 20% to the front wheels. If the car senses the need, it will stay in AWD and even increase the % going to the front wheels. If there is no need, however, the car will shift 100% to the rear wheels for improved dry pavement performance. Whenever sensors indicate the need, however, the AWD will automatically come back on and will distribute the power to the wheels in the ratio needed. There is also a "snow" switch that will turn the car into an all-time 50-50 AWD. This is NOT recommended in non-slippery settings, however.

    Hope this helps.

I just bought the G35x, I also live in Chicago. I was told by a friend who has the 6spd coupe in DC that it is terrible in bad weather. I wouldn't consider a RWD car in Chicago (I live in the city) because it would make my alley unpassable for maybe 10-30 days each year.

As for dealers, there are only 6 (7?) in all of Chicagoland. I did a fax attack of the dealers near the end of August and had good success with 2 particular dealers- Lisle (speak to the owner who is also the sales manager), and Fields (2 dealerships). I ended up at Fields because they gave me the best price first.

Read back through this thread and you'll find my final price paid for my car.

Good luck. This is a great car and I'm loving it every time I drive it..
  • carnagcarnag Member Posts: 42
    Thanks for the input grossie.

I was looking at Lisle, they seem to have A LOT in stock so I was hoping to get a good deal there. Is the owner/sales manager willing to work with on-line/internet sales, or do I need to go into the dealer? I've received 1 email from their internet sales consultant, still waiting on a quote though. I'll have to take a look at Fields.

By the way, how is the gas mileage? Thanks fot the input! Carnag

The infinitinews.com website says the following for the 2006 G35 Coupe as follows

New Premium Package adds Intelligent Key, Bluetooth® Hands-Free Phone system and driver’s seat and steering wheel memory plus automatic entry/exit assist (5AT only)

Does this mean the intelligent key is only for the AT or is it also for the 6MT as well ? I ask this because they have an additional line that says

Premium Package for G35 Coupe models add Bluetooth® Hands-Free Phone system and driver’s seat and steering wheel memory.

Also are all these features worth the wait for the 2006 G35 Coupe 6MT, or should i go for the 2005 G35 6MT.

    Thanks

Does anybody know how much the price I can get for 2005 G35 Coupe 6MT with premium package? I believe they have special year end clearance price. Can you also tell the dealership name?
    Thanks
  • jaguilajaguila Member Posts: 12
I spoke w the dealer here, they require a $1000 deposit if you order, which is not refundable if you back out when the car gets delivered, even if the reason is due to non-agreement on prices.
  • grossiegrossie Member Posts: 41
Carnag- the last 2 cars I've bought I never met the dealer until I went in there with a check in hand. I only negotiate by phone, fax, and email. I also only do it at the end of the month. There's no way I'm going to go sit in a dealership for 3 hours and play that game where the salesman wears me down by repeatedly leaving for extended periods to "check with his manager". I use a system called fighting chance, you can buy it on the web. I don't think I can name the website here, but google those words, you'll find it. It's the best $35 I've spent in a long time.

i want to lease a 2005 g35x sedan.. infiniti is running a special as shown on edmunds.com for 379 a month for 36 months with 2,675 down, no security deposit, and first payment of 379.. total due at signing 3,054. A relative of mine is going to give me a VEHICLE PURCHASE PRICE also know as VPP.. can i use that pricing to get this car with no money down and just the first payment?
  • jetta6ajetta6a Member Posts: 33
Dont know about your area, all the dealers in TX ive spoken to will refund 500$ if you completely back out. If you decide to purchase any other car from the same dealership all of the 1000$ can go towards that car.
  • jetta6ajetta6a Member Posts: 33
Yes, the intelligent key is ONLY for the 5AT.
  • wbr99wbr99 Member Posts: 51
I'm sorry for the long post.

I bought a 2005 G35 Black/Black 6MT Coupe with the Premium Package, Trunk Mat and Spash Guards for $33,817.00 last night. This was the price before Taxes, Tags etc. The final price was $ 35215.09.

Infiniti of Chantilly is a new delearship that have been open for around 6-7 weeks and I had a very good experience there. When we went there the first time last wednesday, we were just looking at the car and had no intention to buy. The salesman came to edmunds.com himself and showed us the price of the car with the above mentioned options, the MSRP was 36,700, what others was paying was 35,748 and the invoice was 33,605. He asked me if I would buy the car that day if his price was close to the invoice price. We told him that we would think about it and get back to him and he said he would honor the same price on monday. That was a big mistake. I called them again on monday and they said they sold the car on saturday. I dont know the price it went for though. I told him then that if they can get me another car with the same options I would guarantee to buy it there and they got it delivered from another delearship in Richmond, VA yesterday. I went in, they asked where I worked, used my info against the Vehicle Purchase Program system and gave me the price of 33817. This was $1,100 less than what another dealership had offered to be before taxes etc. I jumped on the deal and am driving my dream machine which i got for $35,215.00 :)

It gets better, on top of all this, they have a 500 club, where the first 500 customers (no matter what infiniti car/suv you buy is) at the dealership will get oil changes free for life, thats around $60 a pop. the 7500, 15,000, 22,500 and 30,000 mile services for free. I think the costs of the above maintenance are 125,425, 125 and 650 respectively. if you think of 4 oil changes per year that around 250 $.

Can anyone beat that ? Their website is http://www.infinitiofchantilly.com. Let me know if you have any questions.
