    What is the touring package?

I bought my Sienna SAturday (6 hour drive to Fitz Auto Mall in Gaithersburg, Maryland) saved me plenty of $$ from the local dealers here in WV. LE Package #3 they gave me $1k more than my trade was worth according to KBB $24k plus TTL before trade in allowance. My wife is extremely happy!
  • sunshinestatesunshinestate Member Posts: 5
The touring package is apparently new. I have talked to some salesmen who didn't even know what it was. It comes with the dvd entertainment system, the rear back up camera, cargo net and floor mats.

I got offered a 2006 Sienna LE #3 with added leather seats for $28,000 out the door in Virginia. Is that a good price? The sticker was around $31,000.
  • wandlwandl Member Posts: 40
acutally for that price you'd be hard pressed to spend just a little more for an XLE...I know Leesburg Toyota in VA has XLE's in the $27-$28 range...package #1 so to find one with leather won't be but maybe $30k....I'd go for that if I were you....but I'm not :)

We're getting ready to buy an LE 7 passenger with package 1 or 2. Questions:

    1. Should we take advatnage of the current incentive and buy by January 31st or does Toyoto offer incentives every month?

    2. We got an offer of 22,788 (package #1), before haggling. We live in the LA area -- is that decent?

    Thanks!
  • wandlwandl Member Posts: 40
if i were you I would buy now because prices are actually going up with Toyota.....
the van my wife and I bought was manufactured in 10/05....it was $105 cheaper than one that was mfg in 12/05.....and it was an 06 LE Package 3. Take advantage of the current incentives, or else you may wait a while before another cash back offer comes in. Then again, I don't know if it will increase....

And for your pricing, that isn't bad because I know the LE Package #3 that I bought adds $1500 to the price.... check the price at http://www.fitzmall just as a comparison point to see what a Package #1 is going for, that will give you good indication of what neighborhood you should be paying for.

    hope it helps! :P

I just bought my sienna LE with option #3 for $24,662. This is an OTD cost from Kay Jennings Toyota in Springfield, VA. It was fairly painless and there was minimal negotiations since I figured it was pretty fair. The invoice was $25,310. The place to negotiate is the dealer rollback and the dealer advertising fee.
  • plannermomplannermom Member Posts: 1
I don't want to go to Virginia to get a good deal on an LE#3. I'd even take a CE#2, but Toyota doesn't seem to send either of them to Texas. Anyone else had any luck? My dealer in Plano can order one at $1000 under MSRP, but man I'd like to have a better deal. I'd even drive to Houston or Austin. Any advice??image

I just bought at 2006 Sienna CE at the 355 dealership. Less than $21k, which was just around invoice. I got an email quote from them, brought it with me, and the whole thing took about 3 hours. Huge selection, no nonsense with the email quote, and better prices than anywhere else. I financed it, and that went smoothly as well. Highly recommended if you're more interested in low prices than service.

    Hi kj,

Would you mind telling me which MA dealers you were talking about that are willing to sell for about $500 over invoice before discounts?

We live in MA and have recently started looking for a new van. We test drove the Sienna XLE LTD this weekend and loved it!

Just thought it would be nice to get a heads up as to which dealers are willing to give the best price.

    Thanks!
Good luck with your new van!

i completed my purchase of an '05 sienna LE#8 on 12/23/05. color is salsa red (maroon) w/ all the upgrades. 4 wheel disc brakes, side curtain air bags, etc. the color was what my wife really wanted. and was delivered on christmas morning when i drove it home after i got off shift at work. she acted like a game show contestant. she ran outside screaming!!!

the total price including 7/100 platinum warranty and 4/60 service contract was $30,612. I think that using the internet and your area newspaper ads are good ways of making the dealer come down to your level in pricing.
  • wandlwandl Member Posts: 40
Keep in mind all the rebates and incentives are based on your geographical promotions...I went to VA because they had a $750 cash back, whereas Columbus/Cleveland areas have a $650 (I heard Kansas City had a $1,000 cash back).

$1,000 under MSRP is horrible. While its better than paying for full MSRP, there are much better prices for the 06 Sienna's. I got mine $4k under MSRP, have heard of other dealers in Virginia offering up to $4500 under MSRP (Leesburg Toyota in Leesburg, VA).

I'm sure TX has a lot more Toyota dealerships than I do here in WV hehe just go to Toyota's website and email 8-10 dealerships...that's what I did. Have them compete for your business, eventually I hope someone will have the LE #3 you're looking for. If not (and this is just me) I'd fly to Virginia to save an extra $3,000 and drive it back or arrange for it to be transported.

Then again I'm not you....nor am I in TX...maybe someone in TX is better able to help you hehe good luck! :shades:

good to hear 355 and Darcars are pretty straightforward to deal with!
  • kj2005kj2005 Member Posts: 17
    Lux,

The dealer was Boch Toyota, although I did not buy there. The MSRP on the 06 Limited with HO package was about $42.4K and the price was around $38.5K to $39K. Then you need to add $200 for documentation, etc. I also had the package that has the door sills and car mats for $245 included in my price.

I bought CE#1 (7 Seat) at 24K OTD Houston, TX. I would like to know your price if you can get one at the price of VA folks or northeastern folks. TX dealers sucks. Good Luck!
  • shangydshangyd Member Posts: 25
$24,662 OTD for LE7 with #3, this is really good price. Would you please tell us the break down price, especially before TTL? Did you get $400 graduate rebate?
  • wandlwandl Member Posts: 40
That price is good, especially including TTL...
  • carthamolecarthamole Member Posts: 6
This is the breakdown for the '06 sienna FWD, option 3(as best I can sort out)
The quoted internet special was $23,760. The invoice was 25,310. At some point, I got the $750 toyota rebate. I'm not quite sure where, but it might have been already deducted for the internet price.
    I paid $784 taxes
    $56.50 tags and license
    $225 processing fee
This =$24825.50 and I said I didn't think I should pay that much and he gave me $163 off. I still think I got a good OTD price at $24,662. There wasn't a $400 graduate deduction.
  • samba2samba2 Member Posts: 38
    wandl,

Was that LE #3 with 8 seates or 7 seats. I am new to the Sienna buying experience and the Invoice price from edmunds for a LE#3(8seats) is 25023. Also what is OTD. Is that price with options + destinatin + doc fees.
  • fduboisfdubois Member Posts: 9
Paid $25,791. Out the door price. This included tax, tags etc..Included option 3 package(traction control, alloys, rear disc brakes). Cloth seats. MD tax is 5%, tags etc around $200. Plus a free IPOD Nano. FD

PS: THis was an 8 seater from Koons Toyota in Annapolis.
  • carthamolecarthamole Member Posts: 6
I bought the LE 7 seats and OTD is "out the door" which includes taxes, tags and license.

I posted a week or so ago in the Sienna lease thread but haven't received a response so I thought I would try here.
Does anyone know what the current money factor and residual is on a 2006 Sienna LE 36 month 15,000 mile lease? I'd like to calculate my lease payment before I go in to the dealership.

    Thanks.
  • wandlwandl Member Posts: 40
I got mine OTD for $23,301 for an LE Package #3 06 before trade in ($23,942 was the sale price) from Fitzmall.com it was a 7 seater. I was thinking of an 8 seater but the 2nd row of seats don't have armrests which I liked...doc fee was $99 but the sale price included destination.

Has anyone tried the online services such as overstocked dealers that claim to get you a good price at no charge ? What's the catch ?

I am in South Florida and would like to hear from anyone that has bought down here recently.

Has anyone bought from Fitzmall and had it deliver out of state ? How much for delivery and how was your buying experience.

    Thanks for any info,

To my knowledge there isn't really an overstocked dealer when you're talking about Sienna's. Maybe on a GM or Ford line maybe....hardly on Toyota's. I know some dealers here in the WV area had some clearance on CAmry's 3-4 years ago when they went to the new body style but that was it.

Overstocked dealers just give you quotes like everyone else...until the Sienna changes significantly (rumors have it they'll put a 3.5L V6 next year) 06 Sienna's will sell just fine.

And I didn't have Fitzmall deliver it out of state, checked with a shipper it would be in the $450-$700 range (for me in WV...one state over) ...for that you could almost fly and just drive it down. I'm hoping someone on this board bought one in SoFL so they can point you in the right direction and save lots of $$ for you..

Heck if you think about it, even if a dealer in SoFL has it for $500 more...its cheaper that way than going to Maryland (or any other dealer with that distance) to get one...save you time...good luck! Some dealers down there may pricematch fitzmall.com or some other places! have you checked autotrader?

We just got a Sienna LE AWD for just under $27,000. We didn't take the January $750 rebate--instead got the 4.9% from Toyota.

I feel lucky that we found one with VSC (Stability Control). According to the Toyota brochure, and Edmunds.com, you can't get AWD and VSC in the same car. But ours has both. (At least according to the window sticker.)

My dad bought a Camry recently and had the same experience--the actual cars on the lot have extra options that aren't on the list.

We bought from Boch Toyota in N. Attleboro, MA. They were very easy to deal with & I'd recommend them. I sent email spam to all the dealers in the eastern half of Massachusetts. This dealership had the lowest price, and also was able to switch to another car with VSC when I asked for it, without increasing the quote, or changing colors. The other Boch, in Norwood, had the second lowest quote.

Now I just need to sell my namesake car (92camrywagon).

Thanks for the infor wandl. The southeast Toyota distributors (five-state region - Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina) have a monopoly in pricing. I am pretty sure that I can save 2-3 thousand dollars by going North and it may be worth it. As you stated I have to try first down here first. As soon as I have my financing all together I will try the dealers in my area but I am not holding my breath. I talked to Fitzmall about delivery and they don't do it out of state. Thanks again.
  • ddeliseddelise Member Posts: 353
I live in central Florida, and came across the 'monopoly' pricing when I was shopping for a Sienna XLE Limited in November 2004. At this time, dealers in FL were not willing to negotiate much. Luckily, I was spending Thanksgiving in Washington, DC, so I contacted Fitzmall.

Their price for the car, when taking into account Dealer Fees ($500 here in FL, $99 in DC), lack of Dealer Add ons at Fitzmall, lower invoice price in DC, and better selling price ($350 under invoice), the car was $3200 cheaper at Fitzmall.

So, I purchased there and drove down. Working with Fitzmall was very easy - they had the car ready to go at the agreed upon time. Took 1 hour to get in and out.
  • wandlwandl Member Posts: 40
did not know they had a monopoly on such pricing..that sucks....yeah you could save a few $$ by going a few states north. like people have said in this forum, if you don't really have a time frame, it may be worth it for you to wait till the end of the month as most if not all dealerships have a monthly "quota" so they are going to be more willing to deal towards the end of the month....

I don't know how far you're willing to go up, get pre-approved now as interest rates with pre-approvals are good for 30 days...I actually work in the auto industry and I know a lot of the banks and lenders (here in WV) raised their interest rates anywhere from 0.25% to 1.5% on prime rates.

    Get a pre-approval from eloans.com or lendingtree.com or something...

    Good luck! :shades:
  • wandlwandl Member Posts: 40
I completely agree..invoices differ by regions. It did take me 3 1/2 hours to get in and out though, just miscellanious paperwork and stuff kept me longer there....but I was happy with everything!
  • wandlwandl Member Posts: 40
I got mine from Fitzgerald, I live in WV. They did all the paperwork for me like a WV title application and stuff, charged WV taxes, tags and license. Only thing I paid extra is for a Maryland temp tag and a $99 processing fee.

All the dealers do is forward their taxes to the state DMV or MVA....

For my particular vehicle, I did not put a deposit because there were 6 of the package and color that I was looking for. They do try to have you put a $500 refundable deposit down though....via credit card or what not. Depends on what you're looking for..

My husband is telling me that he has heard of an impact charge of like $500 that you will get hit with when you bring a car from another state and register it in Florida.

Any Floridians out there experience this or know what he is talking about ? I googled for it and only came up with the impact fee for rentals.
  • ddeliseddelise Member Posts: 353
I did not get charged any impact fee. Fitzmall took care of all the registration for us, which was a great service. In fact, they over estimated the registration fees and sent me a refund check about 2 weeks later.

found a local ad, An used 2006 LE with 5,000mi on it ask $21,900 from private seller. The list includes sunroof, dual power sliding door and DVD, power seat with memory and cassett. I could not find any option package include sunroof and dual power sliding door at our local dealer. I know different region toyota has different option package. Just want to know any region LE can add above option? Thanks!
  • wandlwandl Member Posts: 40
I would question that deal. It is an awesome deal and probably too good to be true. I found an 05 XLE with 9k miles for $21k then found it had a salvage title. That deal just has question marks all over it... LE does not have a sunroof, a fully decked out Package #5 or #6 (on toyota's website which lists packages of ALL regions) doesn't show all those features factory.

Then again it could be aftermarket......but 04's are selling for $21,900....

    Be cautious...
  • hansiennahansienna Member Posts: 2,312
Agree. Be VERY careful. I would suspect Katrina damage but the 2006 Sienna's were not built until AFTER Katrina.

Another red herring: Cassette. The 2006 Sienna LE does NOT have a cassette deck but comes with in dash 6 CD changer and MP3 capability.

HI, I wanted to thank the members for helping me look into pricing my sienna through email.

I figure I can give my experience to help other looking for a good deal in MA area. I sent emails to most of the larger toyota dealers in MA area. I recieved some really good pricing. Acton toyota will do any sienna instock for 200 under invoice plus current $1000 rebate, Ira will respond ith a higher number and will not budge until you let them know you have found other lower prices. They ended up being fair and coming at 300 under invoice plus rebate. You need to speak to manager to get final price. I didn't like my experience with herb chambers they wouldn't even come under invoice. I didn't bother speaking with GM. Boch Norwood gave me a great price of 500 under invoice plus rebate. I would have probably taken that price but, in the end Boch toyota Soth came in at almost 1200 under invoice plus rebate.(not a misprint) They are not very responsive with email they just give you your quote and then you need to call. I called because i didn't believe the numbers. I was sure it was some sort of bait and switch, but when I got there they had my car and discussed price printed out. I had to work for my trade in, because I had high mileage and a chrysler van and a dent, but I still came close to kellybb. The car price was good because they even told me I would be better selling myself and I would still get the price. Good experience it would even better if your trade was better than mine with lower miles and beter condition. I ended up buying a Sienna front wheel drive XLE with package #5 and the standard rug option. The price was 27,373 plus 299 doc fee. I hope this helps someone. I just wanted to give a little something back for all your help.

I got a few quotes for a 2006 XLE Limited with package #1 from dealers in the Columbus, Ohio area. The best, by far, was from Byers Toyota of Delaware (just a few miles north). I got a quick, personal response from a member of their internet sales team. His first quote was his best price. It was also better than every other dealer that I contacted or visited. No games or tricks. He also quickly responded with any information that I needed or questions that I had. I bought it for $34,700 + $95 doc fee + taxes + title. Then, I got the $650 Toyota rebate and the $750 Toyota President's Day rebate going through 2/20. Out the door price with tax and title was $35,769. I also got a few accessories at cost. They put the all-weather mats and wheel locks in while I waited. Absolutely outstanding experience.

I just wanted to know if tax was included in price an if it has leather.
  • brs1brs1 Member Posts: 17
    Congratulations on your deal!

I have just bought an 2006 XLE AWD in Bakersfield, California. Excellent buying experience.
I have gotten a $750 rebate, but no other $650 rebate.
What is the President's day rebate? Is it only available
    in your region?

For others shopping in Southern California:
I just have bought a 2006 XLE AWD with Package 9 (leather, heated seats), door mats, seal protection.

    MSRP : 35,519
    Invoice: 31,800

    I paid: 32050 - 750 rebate = 31300 + tax, license, etc
($300 over the invoice before rebate, $450 under invoice
    after rebate).

In case you are shopping for 2005 XLE AWD, there are at least 5 still available. I was offered as low as
$30,000 after $1500 rebate for 2005 XLE AWD Package 9
    (MSRP 36400, invoice 32300).

It is indeed good to hear of a pleasant experience in the Central Ohio area. Over the past 10 years I have seriously looked at Toyotas a few times and always been turned off by the lousy dealers here and ended up buying another brand.
  • tommypaltommypal Member Posts: 1
Has anyone bought through the Costco Auto Program? I'm curious to see whether it really ends up in any serious discount. I'm in northern Virginia and the dealer they hooked me up with with Bill Page Toyota.

Also, I'm trying to get an XLE AWD with a DVD player. I understand from Best Buy that it's better to just get it from the dealer that try to do it after market. Any thoughts on that?
  • fudd2befudd2be Member Posts: 50
In my opinion, you can't beat the seamless integration of a facotory DVD vs. aftermarket with a modulator. Everything is just so much easier and intuitive to operate when it is factory installed.

I live 40 miles outside of Washington D.C, in VA. But I'm willing to travel. I'm looking for
    1. XLE (AWD) with package #8 or 12, dual port towing or
    2. XLE Limited, AWD, package #2, dual port towing

For the XLE we have been quoted 35,400 ( which includes freight $605, towing package $415, processing fee $299) does not include tax, tags or registration.

For the XLE limited we were quoted, 37,300 ( which includes freight $605, towing package $415, processing fee $299) does not include tax, tags or registration.

Is this a good deal? Has anyone gotten a better deal? Does everyone pay freight and what is reasonable for a processing fee? We are willing to travel to MD, PA, NC.

You are lucky to live in the area that has the best Sienna prices in the U.S.

Just compare the quotes you've gotten with Fitzgerald and Darcars (seems like there's another one but the name escapes me).
  • lynnb4lynnb4 Member Posts: 5
I am interested in buying a Sienna minivan with leather seats and power doors. It looks like I would have to buy a limited or an XLE with an added package to get this. Is there any way to add leather seats and power doors onto an LE if I custom order? I cannot afford to spend $35,000 on a van.
  • seaniseani Member Posts: 5
I was wondering if anybody checked website www.dealerrater.com? It looks like some dealers post praise for themselves. Don't know how much you can trust this website.
  • cccompsoncccompson Member Posts: 2,382
Dealers can always add leather although it tends to be pricey and quality is hit or miss.

Adding power doors (I assume you mean side doors and/or rear liftgate) is not a feasible option due to the cost of the parts.

Have you thought about buying a used '04 or '05? If so, take a look over in Real World Used Car Values where someone is looking to sell an '04 Limited with 41K.
  • wandlwandl Member Posts: 40
I did not know that there was a $650 rebate ON TOP of a $750 president's day rebate....anyone else know/verify this?
