Hi All- I am interested in getting a FWD Limited with power folding third row seats, daytime running lights, navigation with back up camera, and if I can afford it, satellite radio. It looks to me like package #2 includes both nav and dvd, which I don't want. Does anyone know if it is possible (or financially intelligent) to just buy the nav?
Also, does anyone know which radio service is better?
A sill protector is a plastic strip glued to the body, to protect the bottom door jam, you will see this when you open the door, this will be right below the bottom of the door when closed on the body not on the door bottom. The hood protector is a plastic sheild attached to the hood, will be about 2 to 3 inches in height.
Ok, thanks. But....why would one want to pay extra for this? Is this something that should have been part of the car and they just made it an add-on, or is it unnecessary? Anyone know?
Does anyone have any recommendations for an after market dealer, online or off, for accessories like special mats etc for the Sienna? Or is the dealer the best way to go?
Hi I am a newbie here and I am looking for the same model as your. Is this price included tax or not? my email is sj1681981@yahoo.com can you give me the name of saleperson please...any help is appreciated..thanks again
I've been wanting to purchase a Sienna for a few years now and I think I'm about ready to take the plunge. I've been checking this forum for prices being paid and then took Atiexeira's advice to check out the fitzmall.com website. They have an XLE with the following options:
Their website indicates the delivered internet price is $31,408 and that includes freight and MD inspection, but does not include tax, title, tags, and a $99 optional dealer procesing charge. As a newbie in the world of new car purchases, I was wondering whether this is a reasonable price to pay and whether anyone here has had any experience dealing with Fitzgerald Auto Mall? I'm not local to any of their outlets, but the Toyota dealer in my part of western MD (Shaffer Toyota) does not have the greatest reputation of taking care of their customers.
Hi everyone: I am going to close the deal in a few hours: what do you think?
imited XLE Sienna, 2wd, EVP#2 (QL), HZ, TH, RM, FE floormats and sills satellite hookup total 36,099 (Including rebate right?) $100 rebate $2604 dc taxes and $225 registration in DC Used this to talk with other dealers and someone offered to take off $1000 for a OTD TOTAL of $38.028.
Sounds like the best I can get in the metro area...is it?
I got LE 7 Passenger with Package#2 for $25,292.91 with 0% Financing for 36 Months on Monday morning. Thats the best deal I could find and few dealers didn't even believe it. Even if it is $25,900 I would say it is a good price.
I got my van at Libertyville, IL.
Shop through internet and you can find a best deal.
I am really excited and happy to pay that less price and got the best deal.
Lesson: there is a flurry of activity in the end! Wait it out. I don't know if I made the right decision but it is done! Lesson 2: get a costco offer first: they have a policy of giving $445 over invoice, plus tax, tags and a 100 fee. With this number, you can start negotiating with the others. Unfortunately, I did it backwards and could have saved myself a lot of work. So! I got an offer from a costco associated dealership for the XLE limited, extra value package #2, HID lights & cruise control (they all had it, even though I didn't want it), running lights, mat and sills, power 3rd, emissions, and satellite ready hook up for a total of $39,028.00 WITH a "comp" on service deals that normally cost 369, he said, for a free loaner car, premium service (50% discount I think on regular maintenance), free yearly alignment and their payment of a $500 deductible if we have damage in a crash that is our fault. (?!) This deal was $260 higher than another one from a more distant dealer, who might have come down more, but in the end I decided it would be good to have a dealer/service nearby. But! (learn from my mistake) another dealership then called me and offered to try to beat it -- And then, another. I am sure I could have gotten bidding going -- we are at the end of the month and finally! I had some numbers to work with. But I had given the 500 deposit to costco people and will stay with it. I figure I won't get any bait-and-switch or last minute surprises because they have to stay in cost-co's favor.
:confuse: Hi folks,I'm living in Chicago ,IL area and consider to buy a 2008 Sienna LE 8 seats plus power slide door packge ,Anybody can share the buying experiences at a local dealer? OTD price, dealer, etc. Thanks in advance!
I went with the price of $35,028 for the above-described XLE Limited plus service package. The tax in DC, tags for registration of a van and $100 processing fee bring the total to $39,028. FYI, I did get lower offers later in the evening (sigh...) and could have gotten a bidding fight going, I believe. The lowest price down, without doing that, was off or $34,768. I don't think it would have gotten much lower though.
I'm just starting looking. I think I'd like a Limited AWD Sienna, but I have no idea what so many of the abbreviations mean, and even when I look them up on the Toyota site it's hard to keep them all straight and remember them. I'd like to avoid going to the dealer until I know exactly which features I want. Can you help me decide which Sienna is right, and which features are important? This is what I KNOW I want:
AWD DVD bluetooth moonroof heated seats sunshades power doors satellite radio (maybe) i want to be able to play from my iPod I would like the de-icing options, whatever they are, but it sounds good I do NOT want the Toyota nav system.
I have 2 small kids and need a lot of flexibility with the seating, storage, etc.
What other features do you consider important, and which models do they come with? I'm not sure if I should get a XLE and add features or go straight for the LTD.
I've checked out Fitzmall.com mentioned on this site - can you buy from them if you are nowhere near their outlets? Do they have arrangements with local dealers?
I submitted a request on costco.com but was really hoping that would send some quotes my way - all it has done is generate phone calls from dealers. I'd rather see some email quotes first.
I live in the Seattle Eastside area if that makes any difference.
First of all, are you absolutely sure that you need AWD? If not you may want to just get 4wd. I think that most '08 Siennas come with the VSC (vehicle stability control). Did you know that some come with the option of seating for 8? If you do want an 8-seater, I don't think that you can get an XLE or Limited... those are pretty rare. If you know that you want all of those other things, you'll probably be fine with an XLE. I think that one thing that some people have complained about is the gas mileage on an AWD version of the vehicle. Check out some of the postings about that. I have a CE... if I had my druthers, I would definitely want dual power sliders, and power hatch. I'm a foster parent, so I don't have children all of the time, so an integrated DVD system is not something that I'd need.... however, that is probably something you'd need with your two kids. Check and see about the power third row seats; I wouldn't mind having those. The CE is the base model of the Sienna, it doesn't have all those goodies like privacy glass, power sliding doors, etc. Basically, you can get a lot of what you want even with an LE, if you work it right. Note that I said "a lot", not all, so think long and hard before you make that decision. If I were in the position to make a different choice, I'd definitely go for the XLE. 4WD, though, not AWD. I think (although I'm not sure) that AWD comes with those pesky run-flats, too, and from all I've heard, you definitely don't want those!
Hi Sirarnie, I am looking for the LE with option #2 in the bay area as well. Can you please email me then name of dealer and possible the sale person at Sj1681981@yahoo.com? Thanks in advance.
Here's a suggestion to those posting....don't express price in terms of "out-the-door". Most people interpret that as meaning the total price including taxes and DMV fees, and those things are not controlled by the dealer. There is a large variance in sales tax, probably zero in some places and 10% of the purchase price in others. In some states you pay tax on the sales price, and in others you pay it on the difference between sales price and trade-in valuve. DMV also varies by state.
I'd suggest that the price paid be compared to MSRP or invoice for the vehicle, and then show what rebates were deducted from that.
Example:
MSRP 30,000 Invoice (including destination charge) 28,000 I paid 28,500 before rebates of 2000 were applied.
Note that the tax would be computed on the 28,500 (not 26,500 if rebates were applied first).
I am looking to buy a Sienna CE in Washington State. Any body has good/bad experiences around the east side dealers? Also what did you pay, in terms of +- invoice price.
what do you think the price i paid ? i just got 2008 LE 8 seat with floor mats new tag (tax my city is 6.5) the total price out the door 25,599 (basic LE 8 seat)
I am having a miserable time negotiating with dealers in southwest and SD area. I am going by invoice prices from Edmunds, KBB, etc and what they are throwing at me are invoice prices that are about $1k higher. of course, with their invoice price, a deal at invoice is still higher by $1k than what i am getting from internet. Case in point:
XLE FWD with package 2 and other junk add-ons: Dealer MSRP $32,944 Dealer Invoice: $29,832
Edmunds Invoice: $29,159
All prices include destination. What am I missing? How do other work with this?
As I have tried several online pricing sites, I've found Edmunds to be a bit problematical in that not all options are available.
As for your $1K difference, I'm wondering if the Internet invoices are adding in the current $1k customer incentive cash (or low-rate financing) that is available through 3-31-08. If their "offers" are assuming you'll take Toyota financing, that might explain the difference. You might also check to see if the dealer is adding in some advertising fees or such; I think many/most dealerships in Toyota's Gulf States region will add for that, although I don't think it appears on the sticker.
One of the bad things about the proliferation of online pricing sites is that it seems each site has a slightly different total than the other, and Toyota seems to have so many layers of options that getting a precise matchup is often very hard if not impossible. That makes it easier for any one dealership to dismiss an "Internet Invoice" claim as bogus.
Looking for any experiences dealing with Oklahoma City-area Toyota dealerships....suspect I will be dropping the hammer shortly on an Desert Sand Mica 08 Sienna LE w/QF (EVP2), EF (10.2 DVD), A0 (Extra Mile Pkg A)....pricing sites agree on MSRP of 29,119.
Edmunds TMV doesn't include EF (listed at 1125/1499 inv/ret on other sites). Invoice at other sites seems to be consistent at $25,871, $1K less if you take current customer cash rather than low APR financing. OK is considered in the Gulf Toyota region, which imposes an extra $55 destination charge over the base $685.
Edmunds generally projects target prices for Siennas at approx 3.8% over invoice: Using that as a base, invoice of $25,871, that leads me to guesstimate an Edmunds price of $26,854, which actually sounds just a bit high to me. That ends up giving the dealer $983 + 2% HB ($517) on the base MSRP, for a total of exactly $1,500 profit. I don't think I could find a dealer that would do a deal for $26,000, so a "middle of the road" number ends up being about $26,400 OTD. Even at that, $1,046 to the dealer sounds like I'm being pretty generous ($529 over inv + $517 HB). Thoughts?
(Note: I will be paying taxes and license fees in a separate transaction, not financed, so OTD price is my entire expense to the dealer. I mention that because some posters include tax and other charges in their OTD prices, which wouldn't be a proper comparison for me).
Would appreciate any feedback on experiences on Oklahoma Cita area Toyota dealerships, and thoughts about pricing strategy above.
I have been looking at the Odyssey board and it looks like Honda is really dealing on the Honda's right now. Some people are getting a Odyssey EX-L for less than $27000 plus TTL. I talked with my local Toyota dealer and they will barely go below dealer invoice with the $1000 cash incentive on a Sienna. Has anyone had any luck getting a Sienna for $5k to $6k below MSRP? If not I might have to buy a Honda. I can't even get leather in a Sienna for $30,000.
Well, as we were browsing Siennas and Odysseys over the last weekend, I saw a lot more of the latter on the various lots we visited. We picked one Odyssey to test-drive from one dealer, and it had been sitting on the lot so long the battery was dead. We picked a different one - guess what - same thing. Dead battery. When we finally got to one that had a working battery, the fuel gauge needle was pointing clearly below the "E" mark, and when I pointed it out, the salesman said, "well we better take a short drive, then." No offer to go put in a couple of gallons of gas.
I realize one or two datapoints does not a trend make, but it was interesting to us that the whole "test drive experience" was much more favorable on the Sienna side than the Odyssey side...not to mention the fact that the Sienna "won" the informal "test drive" tryout both in my eyes and my wife's...
My offer was at $28,084 for the same thing as you. Included in that price is tax. I just pay the 1st month paymrny of $499 and tags. I'm still deciding.

best I see is around 32k + special financing. anything better out there? are guys paying extra for arctic frost pearl? why is it extra anyway? can we get electrochromic mirrors and memory seats with xle and the QN package?
I am also getting an XLE with Arctic Frost Pearl. It does cost extra ($187) because they put an extra layer of paint, compared to the other colors, to get the "pearl", "shiny" look (this is what several dealers have told me". You can really tell the difference in the sunlight when you compare the Arctic Frost Pearl color in the XLE with the Plain White in the LE/CE model. Just curious, for your XLE are you getting the Stone Gray leather interior or the Taupe Tan leather interior? I like the Stone Gray color better but for our area (Phx, AZ), the Arctic Frost Pearls mostly come in Taupe so I will have to do a special order.
The elctrochromatic mirrors and memory seats can be added to the XLE with QN package if you add the "Convenience Package" - which includes color-keyed power folding, elctrochromatic, memory, heated outside mirrors with puddle lamps and turn-signal indicators, electrochromatic inside rearview mirror, power tilt/slide moonroof with sunshade, and 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat with 2-person memory function and 4-way front passenger power seat with height-adjustable headrests. The ability to add this Conv Package might vary due to your region.
Hi everyone! This is my first post on this forum, so go easy on me. I have been pricing out various dealers in the VA/MD area over the past week, and came up with this deal on a silver 2008 XLE with Option pkg #1, Fog Lamp pkg, floor mats & sill protectors, and 17" alloy wheels. I believe this is a pretty good price as it is w/o the $1000 rebate..knock off another $1000, and this comes to $26, 048. Tax, tags, etc adds another $2000 on the end price. We are picking it up this week, but wanted to know everyone's thought on this. Thanks for the help, and I look forward to talking more in this forum now that I am a Sienna owner.
Looks like you got a great deal on your new 2008 XLE! What color and other options did you get besides Pkg #1 (QG)? Tow Prep (TO)? Floor Mats (CF)? JBL Audio (EJ)? I can't get anything close to that price in AZ at all. What is the tax rate in NC?
That is an awesome deal! How long has this Sienna been on the lot? Did you get comparable deals with other dealers? How far off in price was the other dealer?
The Sienna just arrived on the lot last week. We have been bouncing back and forth between DARCARs in Frederick MD and Fitzgerald in Gaithersburg, and we went through the internet sales group at each location. In fact, we went through Costco to get the original price at DARCARs. Fitz offered about $200 less than DARCARs. We close the deal this weekend depending on who gives more for our trade-in. We are excited to have an XLE soon! I thought this may be a pretty good deal, and it looks like that may be correct.
Are you sure the internet price of 27048 does not include the incentive? Because the fitzmall site clearly states that it does include it. Same with darcasrs - they actually gave better quotes than fitzmall.

Could anyone give me some further clarification on the models?
Is there a difference between the XLE LTD (GST) and the Limited?
Thanks
Can you share with us who was the dealer you got your car from. I am looking to get one soon. Thanks.
Thanks
I am interested in getting a FWD Limited with power folding third row seats, daytime running lights, navigation with back up camera, and if I can afford it, satellite radio. It looks to me like package #2 includes both nav and dvd, which I don't want. Does anyone know if it is possible (or financially intelligent) to just buy the nav?
Also, does anyone know which radio service is better?
Thanks
Jenny
This may be very dumb, but what are these and why would I want them?
Insight much appreciated.
Jenny
My proce before tax & before rebate (1500) was 32507
I don;t remeber the exact numbers of the others, tax is 7.75% here.
But....why would one want to pay extra for this? Is this something that should have been part of the car and they just made it an add-on, or is it unnecessary? Anyone know?
Without them people might scratch the paint each time they step in the vehicle.
The hood protector I'm not sure, as I don't have that. I'd pass, though.
Far from perfect, but they were free.

I wanted to buy a Toyota from them but 355 Toyota (DARCARS) beat their price by about $250.
They were OK, too, but if I had to choose, I'd say the Fitz experience was a bit better. Quicker and a little less pressure on buying add ons.

It wasn't just package #2 - Don't overlook that he had the UL - Audio Upgrade- that's $2,881 inv/$3,665 msrp...
Factor in $1500 rebate and OTD price was $27,418.
It's been hard to get internet quotes from Toyota dealerships in NC...wondering if this is a decent price.
