I like that. Making a game of it makes it much easier. After a few emails with an internet salesperson i feel like we are friends. So i dont want to offend them. I know that is silly but i cant help it.If i say I have other offers..well..its not my fault. So dont be mad at me.
Yeah, I must say that it was the easiest car transaction that I have ever had. This is my 3d vehicle purchase in 11 years, and while I'd like to think it is due to the negotiating wisdom and skill I've attained over the years, the internet is all to credit.
Before I did the e-mail this time around, I tried calling around based on listed inventory on cars.com. I did not get the same results as e-mail. The e-mail way is great - low time expenditure, huge gains (at least for me this time around).
shopping for a 08 Sienna LE AWD w\ EVP1, FE and DRL's in northern NJ. i recently saw a post here stating that all Toyota models right now can go anywhere between 500-700 under invoice. inquiring if that pricing is available in my region of NJ/NY for this configuration 08 Sienna.
the NY dealership i went to wasn't willing to work with me and quoted me $29, 500 plus TTL as opposed to an Edmunds invoice of $27, 198. TMV was $28, 500 so it seemed to me like they are way off.
Agree with you about Bernardi's warranty financing....found same thing when we purchased our Honda Pilot from them last year. Now that we're in the market for an XLE AWD pkg #3, am interested in your dealer experience. Was it in Mass?
tjd11, abm760, and Pawsox, you've got mail...maybe.
Anyways, no, I did not get mine in Mass or NJ/NY. Consider Fitz if you are willing to drive or consider doing what I did...e-mail dealers within a 50 mile radius of you and see if you can get them to give you a similar deal...$500 below invoice. Heck, e-mail as far as you are willing to drive.
What dealership did you get it from if you don't mind me asking?? We were at Dan Wolf in Naperville and I like the guy we are dealing with but we haven't really started negotiating yet. I figured saying I know someone that got such price at such dealership might help. Thanks!
Just picked one up for $25K out the door (the tax here is 6%). I figure without tax, title, and fees, the price was just above 23K. Shaun at Al Henrickson's Toyota has been great with the purchase. The rest of dealers in the area were pushing for 1-2K more.
I am also in Chicago, and am looking for an XLE. Can you e-mail me any information that you may have with your experiences, and dealership information? My e-mail is tweinberg@hotmail.com.
I recently bought XLE LTD with option #4 from Dan Wolf in Naperville at invoice. I believe they added ~$300 to the invoice calling it the advertisement fees. I hope this helps.
Do the rebates vary by region? I am in Salt Lake City, which falls in the Denver region and the rebate is $1000, not $1500, or so the dealer tells me. I got a quote for $27500 out the door for LE8 option#2 with DRL and floor matts WITHOUT the $1000 cash back (I am more interested in the zero percent). Original quote was for $28029 and was given by two dealers. Price dropped after I challenged a couple bogus fees they put in the "Invoice," such as the Dealer Holdback and some other one. Anyone know of a better deal in the area?
as I got 26,800/- out the door , which inclues pk# 2, and 16-in. 6-spoke aluminum alloy wheels with P215/65R16 tires [8] Windshield wiper de-icer grid [9] and Daytime Running Lights (DRL) Daytime Running Lights (DRL) Towing Prep Package [3] -- 3500-lb. towing capacity with heavy-duty radiator, heavy-duty fan, 150-amp alternator and power-steering oil cooler
Wanted to know if a price of $26300 before any rebates, tax, title etc. was a good one for a 2008--8 passenger LE with dual power doors, alloy wheels, tow prep, floor mats, day time running lights and deicer, toyota hitch.
Just starting to negotiate with dealers for a Sienna with the following options: 2008 Toyota Sienna Limited 7-Passenger 4dr Minivan (3.5L 6cyl 5A) QL XLE Limited Extra Value Package #2 HZ Cruise Control & HID Headlamps TH Power Folding 3rd Row Seats TO Tow Prep Package
Looking for which dealers/prices people have had the best experience with.
Looking for LE-7 Passenger With Option#1, FE,RL,CF included. Best Internet price received from dealers is $23,300 (After $1000 rebate). Above price doesn't included any tax, fees, extended warranty or service contract. Anyone help me to find out better deal,I live in Silicon Valley (Bay Area), Thanks!
Where did you get this quote? I am looking for the same vehicle at dealers in SW PA in NE OH and haven't gotten any quotes quite that low. Have you gotten any indication from salespeople about what direction they think rebates and financing offers are going?
Have just noticed that recent ads for this car include a $1500 mfr rebate as opposed to $1000 in December. Was wondering if this is a new rebate being offered or if it's the dealers offering the additional incentive.
I haven't closed my deal, but I am looking at a Limited AWD (not FWD) with everything BUT the HZ Cruise and HID lamps (which, by the way, seem to be very hard to find on dealer lots) and the TH option (not available on the AWD), and I have been pleased so far with the pricing and responsiveness I am getting from Prestige Toyota in Ramsey. Their quote has been the best of the 4 I have gotten. I should point out that I contacted them because of other postings on this board.
The rules here are that I am not to post names, but I will say that I am working with someone who responded to my online inquiry via their website.
Since this forum has worked wonders for me in the past, I thought I'd come back for more! Trying to help some friends get the best deal possible on a Sienna XLE--AWD or FWD. The only extra they really want is leather seats. When I go to the Toyota Configurator they indicate you can the get the leather seats (heated) in Extra Value Package 1 but they don't give you the option of configuring the car with ANY Extra Value Package--they give you Options A, B, C and D. Some of these options include Extra Value Package 1 but also include upgrades my friends don't want (why pay for more when you don't want it--of course, I'm sure Toyota doesn't agree with this sentiment!!!). Can anyone help me out by explaining this confounding nuance??? Also, and most importantly, just exactly what is a good price for this vehicle??? Thanks!!!!
lookingforcars and baccus49. Since I just posted a message about looking for prices in NJ, I'd thought I'd reach out to you both. If you've got time can you lend a hand? I'd like to arm myself with information before I approach any dealerships (trying to help some friends out).
Try Ganley Toyota in Akron, OH. They seem to have the lowest advertised prices of all the Toyota Dealers I've seen advertised in the local Cleveland newspaper. Recently, they've been advertising an LE with Option Pkg 1 for $23,349. I would guesstimate that the #2 package would be slightly higher (maybe $300 to $500 more). A friend purchased a Corolla there and found it to priced the lowest. I am not quite ready to purchase the Sienna yet, but am doing my research and find this site to be very useful. I am hoping for the rebates to go a little higher and plan to buy in the Spring.
Have 3 internet quotes for Ltd AWD with pkg 1, cruise/HID, running lights & tow (don't need it, but seems every car has it) in the $35,400-$35,800 range, NOT including rebate....(minus title/tax). These quotes are all about $1,600 less than Edmunds TMV pricing, and a few hundred less than Edmund's listed invoice price. Haven't even started negotiating yet....is this what you're seeing around the country?
Hello dlee300z I just priced a red XLE w EVP#4 (options: QN, AW, LF, TO) to $33,370 + TTL in Pekin IL. The problem here in IL is that no dealers have red XLEs with taupe leather so I was told I would have to wait 5-7 weeks to get one.
The dealer in Peoria had a red LTD in stock, so I ended up buying that instead. It cost a bit more tho at $36,100+TTL, but now I have power 3rd row, seat memory, dimming side mirrors with lamps, HID lights, laser cruise (which I hate), chrome, and a burlwood steering wheel.
dlee, not sure where you are located, but I just got a quote for the exact same van in St. Charles IL for 32,482 including destination, but plus TTL and doc.
Although, similar to the previous post, seems that all of the popular colors are not on the lots and ordering is necessary. Not a big deal if you are not in a rush like us. But if you want the car today, it seems you have to settle for a color if they don't have your choice.
I just got a quote of $23,595 with the 1K rebate for a Black 08 LE with Extra value Pkg. 2, 16" alloys, daytime running lights and De-icer. Does this sound good to you?
How do the Sienna's stock speakers sound? i am debating on getting an 08 LE with or without the JBL system. I have then in our 04 Limited and don't want to be disappointed.
$36250 as invoice (Normally +$220 for frosted pearl but I said I didn't want to pay that. This is the same price of other colors). +$200 (Profit?) -------- $36450 -$1000 Rebate -------- $35450 + Plates + $300 Doc + Taxes
Includes the following package: HZ, QL, RM, GV, TH, TO, CF, FE
Is that any good ? Should I go for Invoice ?? I am in CT. -JB
I have got a quote for a CE pkg#1 from a San Gabriel Valley Toyota Dealer for $22K. Is it a good price? I am planning to go for the Rebate of $1500, which brings down the vehicle price to $20,500. Can you guys please let me know if this is a good price?
This weekend a couple of dealers in san diego were advertising the CE for $19,995 before TTL. Bob Baker's in Lemon Grove was one, not sure about the other. Maybe the Carlsbad dealer.
