LOL... Probably the same way OnStar knows where you are! ;-))
yurakm-
I owe you money! After I left, I went to Dunkin Donuts for coffee and noticed that you gave me too much money. I don't THINK we were supposed to leave a tip at Louie's?? It was my first time there too! Oh well, next time we'll go to the bar! LOL.... It was nice meeting you. This was the first time I ever met anyone from the car group here. I would have loved to meet some people when I had Christine so that we could compare notes about our 300's.

I believe, the car have no pressure sensors. The only thing it knows is number of wheel rotations. Then computer compares the number of rotations between wheels on the same axle, between the front and rear axles, and probably compares the current ratio(s) with what was before.
The sensors are a part of ABS system. ABS compares rotations on the same axle. With new computers and software the same information is used for traction control and to warn about low pressure. In reality the computer does not know anything about pressure, but it knows when the tire radius was changed.
So the probable reason of your warning was that the tires have different radius. Either because one of them was underinflated before tire rotation, or because of somewhat uneven wear. The uneven wear is the very reason for rotation.
It was a great pleasure to meet you. The Louie's hamburgers are unusual, especially if comparing with McDonald: much simpler, but also much better.
And, by the way, your car is beautiful.
My e-mail address is posted with my profile at Edmunds.
I was the gentleman who posted about the rotor problem and the corresponding TSB #s, approximately last September. While I do not have the TSB #s any longer, you can go to www.alldata.com . This service is GREAT. Put in the year and model of Regal you have, and the service will provide you all of the corresponding TSB #s with topic headers.
It is interesting to note, I was looking at the beginning of this discussion thread where I originally posted(#'s 1 - 100 or so), to try and find the TSB #'s that i posted backed then, for you to have. Edmunds has taken down my posting, but I know i was looking in the right spot since people were responding to my screen name, "jjcsky". In fact, Yurakm, one of the postings was from you, thanking me for providing the #s....I wonder why they would take down those postings. They even took down the ones I put up for the corresponding TSBs on the Grand AM board (I own a 2000 GT1 in Silver Mist, as well - hot car). Do you think GM made them do that?!?
Anyway, enough conspiracy theory...Go to the website and good luck with your rotors. By the way, I had the problem on both cars and my dealer told me that the rotors were covered under warranty, even though I did NOT have my rotations done by the dealer. Do not let them bamboozle you. The rotors should be covered. In fact, if you look back at the postings I referred to, you can see someone wrote about the rotors I had recommended put on, the Cross Slotted performance rotors. These rotors are larger and the right size for the Regal GSE and are payed for under warranty.
Thanks for any feedback.
Tell them you want them to do a Carfax check to make sure the car was not a buyback, in an accident or flooded.

Thanks for verifying that I have not completely lost my mind....
Someone said they saw a spy photo of the 2005(?) Regal. From the sound of the article, it appears that Century will be dropped because, "there is little difference between the Regal and Century". It also said that Buick may be the division to suffer if this happens.
What do ya'll think?
They are going to cover the switch repair for the disengaging cruise control as well as re centering the steering wheel. It is off about 6 degrees to the left.
Concerning the rotors, I wonder how much of warranty work is at the discretion of the service advisor. Since this is a GM vehicle, would it be possible that another non-Buick GM dealership could do the work and turn it in under warranty?
Would GM rebadged Century as a lower trim of Regal, like GP SE - with a weak engine and (specially for ARRP) the bench seat available as option - the only noticeable difference would be in marketing and compliance. Less brochures to print, less models to list, less car bodies to crash-test, etc.
Does anyone know where spy photos for the 2005 Regal can be found?
I had a dash rattle, and the service adviser told me nobody would fix this. Too much work for the small problem.
After a test drive with service manager, the rattle was fixed, even while it took three days and three attempts - each with dash disassembly. A month later the rattle returned, and this time they replaced the whole dash panel (it turned to be warped).
So the service adviser was right concerning the work, but the service manager decided to do the repair.
Combine Buick and Pontiac? Now that's progress from the people who used to bring you Oldsmobile, ya! Watch them screw that one up too---it's called modern day marketing:-)
Either the alarm system has failed, or she did something to it. Whatever, the car will not start.
Any suggestions. I do not know the code, unfortunately.
Thanks for all who offered assistance.
The original dealership that offered me the $26,150 for a new '01' GS, actually did me a favor by checking out the 2000 GS from another dealership, for me for free.
Now that I'm in the $14K mode of thinking, are there any good deals on something used for $14K? What about financing used? Are there decent rates
Not sure on rates now. Easy to check local banks, credit union etc.
Good luck - no need to spend 25K or more if you can live with some miles on a one year old car. I'm glad to have saved substantially on my used Bonneville in January.
Ken
Dealer on phone seems to think a front or rear alignment issue and I do not intend to pay with 10K miles.
There is a local furniture company that advertises that his leather couches are going up in price because of Mad Cow disease. Probably see more cars coming with cloth interiors or leather as an option at a premium price.
fastdriver
Here's a bet you're right - less leather and more cloth - and leather options will rise in price.
All you guys with leather seats now - Don't EAT those seats!!
Ken
I use it about every 3 months too, with a good liberal coating so it can soak in. Also it may be good to use it at night while the car is cool so it can work into the seats for awhile before you get back in.
I live in FL where sun and leather are very bad, and my seats look great. Good luck.
Nope, not Barry and Elliott- Bob's Discount Furniture! He's on every 5 minutes! Hey, I like Click and Clack. I know they're on on Saturdays, but I always forget what AM station.
I know this is off topic here, but since I ALMOST bought a Regal GS/LS?- the one with the supercharged engine- I thought I'd post the movie I made yesterday of the car I ended up with at photopoint.com
Turn up the volume and enjoy.

Seriously, as 1-2-1 said, it's great to see someone who really appreciates his wheels! Have fun!
Thanks. I NEVER considered my cars as something to get from point A to point B. I buy what I like and what I can afford. I have NO brand loyalty. If you click on my name above, you can see all my car pics and my profile which probably needs updating.

Geezers or no geezers- all are welcome! Besides, age is ONLY a NUMBER! LOL....

Not so often, and usually on the first swip only.
I would suggest:
1. Rain-X and/or a good washer fluid .
In my experience the best is the pink fluid with Rain-X. Winter fluid with de-icer, and the summer one with bug remover.
Available (unfortunately, not always) at Pep Boys and Wal-Mart, sometimes at Mobil gas stations. Cost $2 to $2.50 for gallon, at Wal-Mart sometimes 1.2 gallon for the same price. Unfortunately, the bottles are round and tend to roll in the trunk.
The same Rain-X is also available at Wal-Mart as additive for a stock washer fluid. If I remember right, it is sold in 16-oz bottles, good for 4 gallons. Sometimes this package is more convenient: takes no place in the trunk.
Alternatively, the Rain-X for manual application is available most everywhere. At supermarkets, gas stations, even at CVS drugstore.
2. Cleaning the wiper blades about once a week to once a months, depending on how dusty they are. I am using for this the small disposable rubbing alcohol pads, available at drugstores. Kind of alcohol-soaked napkin, like those supplied by airlines for hands washing. Very convenient for many purposes.
3. And, of course, replacing the wipers or inserts at least yearly. The best time to do it is the fall, before the winter season, the most hard to wipers.
The very good wipers, the Trico brand, costs about $15 a pair at Pep Boys. They looks the same as the OEM wipers. Probably GM is buying them from Trico.
http://www.tricoproducts.com/new/
It takes about 5 minutes to replace the wipers the very first time, and at most 2 minutes with experience. The Bosh wipers are less convenient to replace and a bit less efficient, but they also are good enough.
Never replaced inserts, but saw them at Pep Boys. Cost $3 or so.
What has everyone been using to clean their chrome wheels?
Thanks to all....
BTW...aligment was off a bit and the factory warranty only covers the first 7500 miles...that is a shame considering most manufacturers go 12mo/12K.
try it
Thanks for the tips. However, I already use Rain-X, and my wipers are about the best you can buy. I use silicone blades from this company:
http://www.sspinc.com/wipers.cfm
Silicone, unlike rubber, will not leave black residue on your windshield, will not crack or freeze, does not need routine cleaning, and lasts for years. I have been using these wipers for about 3 years now on all my vehicles, and they are incredible.
The problem I have though, is that when the passenger blade goes to make its reversal in direction, it does so right in front of the driver's face. This always leaves a somewhat vertical streak regardless of Rain-X or blade type, that I constantly have to compound out. This is not a problem just with the Regal, but with all vehicles of this configuration. I mentioned that my previous Regal ('95) had a different configuration where both blades started in the center and worked outward. I just don't understand why they changed this setup.
