That make a diff of over $500.
Please let me know what is the case.
Thanks for your detailed message. I have a very busy prof./travel schedule and am willing to pay a premium to an extent to save time. However, if the difference is $2,000 to $3,000, it certainly makes sense to check things out. I will do precisely what you suggested and report back so that other people will benefit from your suggestion and my experience.
Again, thanks.
So, dealer doing the locate did find the car for me outside pittsburgh, I called that dealer,
and I will take posession of the car for MSRP-500,
no fees, and all accessories at cost.

no nonsense. 5hr drive, but thats fine.
Got a sage brush w/olive interior DVD & NAVI.

I have been dealing with the guys from Renton Honda too.
Was your price over or under MSRP?
Any tips you might have?
Thanks.
Given that both Honda and Toyota plan to produce more minivans this year than in the past chances are prices will come down sooner than later. DC's T&C is another strong competitor and so is Quest. Sedona seems to be getting some serious attention as well. With the minivan market being so competitive it is likely that manufacturers including Ford will get more aggressive in pushing their products. All of these scenarios would play in favor of the consumer putting downward pressure on sale prices.
The bottom line is the demand is not likely to exceed supply, so sales at or around MSRP cannot last for long.
One thing you have to be aware of is the documentation junk fee. Most dealers in MD don't charge any, while ALL dealers in VA do and it can be as high as $300. I would highly recommend expanding your search area to include New Jersey.
Not sure how much they would deal on price, but all the stock units have an addendum sticker for the 'protection" package. Wheel locks, pin stripes, window etch, plus a couple of other fluff items, and a Lojack, all for the bargain price of $995!
I can live with locks/pins, as they are useful and relatively cheap, but I can't beleive too many people really want a lojack, Truly cheesy to add to every unit in advance. WOnder how simple it is to remove?
They also had an EX with an added Removable DVD. On the ceiling, but not quite sure what was removable. They also had the gall to ask $1995 for it.
2020 Acura RDX tech SH-AWD, 2023 Maverick hybrid Lariat luxury package.
is a generation ahead to start with. I expect to
keep mine in tip-top shape for 200K miles.
(Im replacing a totalled volvo with 200K)
got the price 400miles from me in metro pittsburgh

The only thing I would caution you about is the VA inspection sticker that goes on your windshield. The Subie was a used vehicle, so I had to bring it to a MD dealership for its safety inspection. The guys that did the inspection removed the VA safety sticker as they said MD didn't allow stuff on the windshield. For the 3-4 weeks before my MD plates came in, I was driving with a VA temporary plate with no sticker.
Since I worked in Sterling, I was worried that the lack of sticker would draw unwanted attention from the local PD. Nothing happedend but definitely hang onto the VA inspection slip and/or sticker just in case.
BTW. That dealership did have a doc/service fee that the charged everyone. There was noticeable sign that stated that they charged the fee for ALL vehicle purchases. I don't recall the amount, but I recall that it was pretty high.
I just talked to Performance at 4pm and my Ocean Mist is on a truck somewhere and is scheduled to be delivered (I hope!) shortly. I'll send a message as soon as I hear anything more.
Also the inventory at Oursiman is pretty low, so they will steer you to make a down payment on one that's due in.
My price will be around 200-300 over MSRP. They gave my trade in the value I asked for.
If you got a chance to meet with sale staff,
and ready to negotiate with them, you should be able to get a deal. But be firm on your out-of-pocket cost with open mind like accessories, ... Maintain good and healthy discussion.
They just got the Ody I like delivered from Honda
yesterday morning. As soon as I got the news, I hit the road with check book and they knew I am a very serious buyer. The fact that my trade-in could be a certified used car candidate also helped.
Of course, both parties want to get the best out from the deal making. But this is impossible,
compromises defintely need to be reached. Both sides need to be motivated and willing to neogatiate then a deal will be reach.
At my part, I am asking for good condition KBB
dealer trade-in value, which could be higher...
If you can wait, my guess that the price from dealer will drop as early as around Christmas. 2004 is not 1999 for Odyssey buyers. Especially too many
potential buys opt for the 2004 model clearance. For me, I am just too happy with my trade-in civic and can't wait to drive odyssey.
Hope this help.
By the way this dealer has had 4 tourings sitting on the lot for quite some time. No res no navi. I think HONDA made a mistake on that one. Too much when EX-L with navi and dvd is $400 less!!!!!
INKY
Got the call at last that my Ocean Mist is at the dealership. They're prepping it now, and I'll be pciking it up at430 today.
Thanks!!
I just able to buy 2005 EXL with DVD and with NAV for $32,200.
MSRP is $34,095 + 500 destination fee.
That is over 2K under MSRP.
The dealer is in Orange County, CA.

Excellent information on Orange County, CA. The two of us must be crossing paths. I'm hearing the same stories as you from the dealerships.
I'll keep you posted if I get any new information.
I have a deposit at Norm Reeves Cerritos for an EX-L NAV/DVD that is due in around 11/15.
It's not a place to ask for email addresses so you can get referral fees (not to mention the spam you'll get if you post your email on a public forum).
So, please, tell us who your dealer was, where the dealer is located, and how much you paid.
Thanks!
