Also, if I buy in Jersey, do they use my city of residency to calculate the tax?
Thanks.
This is in south florida.Any inputs on the price?? Thanks
Can you tell me where you received this price? I'm in St. Louis too and was just about to pull the trigger on this same exact car but the price you received beats what I'm getting quoted.
Thanks!

I did all my negotiations by e-mail and a few phone calls. I dealt with all 4 major Honda dealerships in town and I bought our Odyssey at St. Louis Honda in South County. Stephen Vincel Honda was close in price but I recieved an e-mail from St. Louis Honda on Monday, 9-28-09, asking how close was his price to what I wanted and I told him I wanted to be under 34K. He needed to take an additional 800 off. He came back and took 815 off so I pulled the trigger quickly. He said he had 4 I could choose from on the lot at that price and by Monday night I believe three of them had sold. We got our preferred color and I am very satisfied with the price and ease of transaction. (By the way the C.D. changer is behind the Navigation screen which flips down when loading new C.D.s, the kids think it's cool.) Good luck!
How much is it before any taxes, fees, etc? Thanks!
I am looking to buy a new Odyssey 2010 EX and it was a surprise to me that you were able to grab for 28,000. Did it cover Leather seats, DVD and all ohter regular that comes for EX? Please help me out with a detailed spec.
Appreciate your time and any help.
Regards
Also others please comment on this price? It's in south florida
Thanks
the best pricing i could get for the ex was over 28 k...the toyota was 25,700.
i have had and liked both toyota and honda but could not justify the extra cost for the ody.
did i miss something on the ody that is not on the sienna?
Someone said they liked the looks better. I see them all over and agree they look great. But I see more Ody's all over
sienna has 5 star side and 4 star front impact ratings.
i also have the alloy wheels and a folding tray between the seats.
i liked the 8 passenger seating and all the middle row seats tumble and / or come out rather than the sideways slide which i did like.
in terms of size i was going by the cubic feet ratings overall and the "behind each row of seats" catagory. it is not a lot but toyota is a little bigger on each count.
either way i think they are both great vehicles w/ good resale value but do not love honda $2,000 more.
continued success with your ody.
Sienna does not have:
1. Floor Mats = $250 (dealer said this will be the cost if I want it)
2. Security System = $500
3. Three-zone automatic climate control
4. 8-passenger
5. In-floor storage and trunk tray
6. 5-star front crash rating
At the end, I chose the Odyssey. I definitely value the front safety rating. I've read testimonies of owners walking away with just airbag burn after a head-on collission. I also like the in-floor storage and the trunk tray. The three-zone climate control is something I can probably live without.
I like how the Odyssey looks too. There is something about the Sienna I don't like. It feels old to me.
Of course, I like that the Odyssey ranks #1. I was disappointed that Sienna was not even on the recommended list at the consumer guide website.
Also any good dealers anyone recommend in NJ area ?
Thanks

We also had quotes of $31,916 for a 2010 EX-L w/ RES and $30,470 for a 2010 EX-L from Peters. This includes destination but there is a $247 documentation fee.
I got offered invoice pricing of $31,500 for 09 Odyssey EX-L w/ RES (excludes tax, title, fee, delivery charge). Does anyone know if I can do better and which dealership? Thanks...
If you going to spend over $30K, get a 2010, not a 2009 that has been sitting forever on dealer lot.
I am living in chicagoland and planning to buy Honda Odyssey EX-L /Res . COuld you please provide me more details on the sales people names and email quotes for Schaumburg Honda / Lisle
I would really appreciate if you can email me at m.venkat@gmail.com
Thanks in Advance
I purchased a 2010 EX-L Polished Metal with mud guard and wheel locks for $32000 OTD that includes everything ($710 destination, 3% tax, $499 admin fee, $68 tag, etc).
The dealer I bought from is about 40 miles away from Charlotte city. They accepted my offered price and would like to get the vehicle from another dealership for me because they initially didn't have the color I want. By the time I arrived there, everything was ready for test driving and sign up paperworks. Their kind service and quick turn-around are well worth the 80 miles round trip driving.
I arrived at home too late last night so haven't got time to really enjoy the van yet...but will do it soon! By the way, forget about the local "BIG" dealers who wouldn't budge with you, you may find good deals if you are willing to look around and further a little bit. Thanks all for your information.
When I got another quote across town (richmond, va) and showed him later, he (his mgr.) met the price by lowering the sales price. The $499 never changed.
Am excited and very happy with the deal. There's very few 09MY left in the Michigan area. If you're in the East side of Michigan and looking for one, I'll be glad to share dealership info, etc.
Thanks for posting price in here. Can you share me the dealer name please? You can send an email to libertyleap@gmail.com. I really appreciate your help. I got a price of 34,673.34 OTD for 2010 EX-L/RES from a dealer in Farmington Hills, MI.
Congrats! Enjoy your minivan!
I believe you got a good price for 2010 model. I paid ~ 31900 OTD price for the car with options in it. Options: pinstripes, wheel locks, all seasoned floor mats, mud guards, cargo tray (useless) from Dealership. Later, trunk tray in ebay.
I was lucky ---> bought my 2009 Odyssey EXL RN in Sterling Gray color with < 2 miles, long in early May 2009, while Honda was offering Cash back (couldn't remember whether it's $2,500 or $3,000) for minivan. I enjoyed a lot!
So, enjoyed your minivan!

What a difference 3.5 years make.
Best service at Desert Honda in Las Vegas,NV and Earnhardt Honda in Avondale, AZ. No EX-L R/N in the Vegas area and had to head out to CA and AZ. Earnhardt had both colors I wanted in stock but Desert Honda found the van in town at the last minute. A deal fell through at another dealership.
Earnhardt Honda was willing to pay my rental car from the accident since my rental insurance was running out in the next few days. Pay for the transport of the van from AZ to LV and a few other things to keep the deal. Unfortunately, I couldn't wait any longer as it was a replacement to my 2006 van.
Long story short. Earnhardt Honda Internet department will work with you to make the deal.
Desert Honda stayed with the sale to keep trying to locate a van via dealer trade or grabbing another dealers incoming inventory.
Desert Honda - Las Vegas, NV
Polished Metallic EX-L Res + Nav
Purchase Price $35,277 +Fees,Taxes,etc.
OTD - was around $38,5xx.
No Add-ons or scotch guard or anything. Factory Fresh w/ 30 miles. 15 driving across town on dealer trade.
I also had the luxury of using a car buying program so no haggling. Highly recommend that.
I took out the buddy seat a lot, so I bought another cute floor mate for that little space just to make it look nicer. It's very useful esp. when the weather gets bad such as rainy days and snow days (I live in Northern VA, here has 4 seasons in a year).
Mine was bought from the dealership. Yes! I bought the whole set! So, very nice except pricey! Hey, I still think I get a good deal with the purchase of my new minivan though. So, I'm quite happy with that! I should have bought online instead, but I couldn't wait that long since May has lots of rain here (just wanna to protect my new car).
Try ebay or other online site for purchasing. Good luck! Enjoy your minivan! : )
Trunk tray is a must for Odyssey. I bought it on Ebay, very cheap, about $80. Very nice! I highly recommended!
Could you share the name of your dealership in the Charlotte area where you purchased? I got BS quotes from Hickory for 2010 EX-L and Touring, even higher than invoice!! Did you offer a price online, over the phone or in person?
I just called to complain about the issue and now they are saying they need to replace torque converter..... guys watch out with Hondas.... the van is not even two years old and it needs torque converter replacement.
One good part about their offer which is not mentioned above is that they would take make out of my existing lease (same model - 2007 version with 31,600 miles) with no added costs or fees (I have less than one year remaining). The existing vehicle is in great shape but does have some minor dents, scratches and scuffs that I suspect could run me $1,200-$1,500 in turn-in costs should I elect to turn in the car at lease expiration. I bet they's be able to sell my current vehicle for $24-$24.5K versus my buy-out (balance due) price of $19.5K (which does not include the charges for damages).
Any suggestions on how I should be looking at this or any improvements to the deal? Specifically, if folks have been able to acquire the same car for $31K, maybe I should turn it down.
