Are there any other options worth getting considering I have a 3 yr old and a 7 mo old.?
Also is it worth getting an extended Honda waranty? If so, how much should I pay for that?
Regarding the warranty, search the web for HondaCare warranty. I paid $1295 from Bernardi in MA for the 8yr/120K no deductible warranty which I felt was well worth it because of all the technology and electronics in these vans. One problem could easily cost you $1500. However, I have the EXL w/Res so it adds the rear power tailgate, XM radio and DVD player which would be covered as well. It's really just a matter of preference as to weather you want to chance anything going wrong with it while you own it.
Rubber floor mats (carpeted ones are standard) are a nice accessory. Also, depending on whether you expect to keep the third seat up or down, you might look at the cargo tray and mat accessories.
Can't see an extended warranty need on an EX. I mean, one of the main reasons folks buy Hondas is because they are reliable. On a NAV/RES vehicle, maybe, because there's some pricey electronics there.
Also, because the $1500 is dealer money rather than a rebate, there's no sales tax on it.
If anyone is interested in a Honda Care Warranty I just purchsed a 6/120k Zero Deductable warranty from Hyannis Honda in Mass.
They were less expensive than Bernari, Saccucci. Very easy to deal with.
Could you share the dealer's name and its location where you can get EX with RES for $26,594.00 in Central NJ? I am looking to buy one.
Thanks,
J
I am looking to purchase an EX-L or EX-L with RES in Kansas City and I would be interested in knowing who were the two dealers that were agressive and who were the three dealers who were take it or leave it. Thanks.
Vic is internet mgr at Jay Wolfe and was great to deal with. Finance dept tried to get it all back but we fought through it and purchased nothing.
Did not go to Oneil Honda but was quoted $ 31,687 for EXL-Res in white.
Honda Of Tiffany Springs had every color in stock but would not deal.
very easy. took 3 emails and a phone call to get it done.
Let me now if you need more info.
A fully loaded EX-L to me means with Nav & RES. Now I just picked up that exact vehicle but my OTD price included sales tax, doc fee. ect...
$32k for an EX-L yes, no problem OTD for that. But add RES & NAV OTD with out a trade-in would easily be a couple grand more.
There has to be some confusion here.
Hope this helps!!
Could you please share the dealer name where you got the deal for 27856 for EX-L? Thanks
Could you forward me the dealer name with EX-RES with the OTD quote of $28,600?
I am also in Chicago area. Or Email me at littlesweetbee@gmail.com
thanks a lot,
$150 splash guards, wheel locks
$399 doc fee
$31 title
$1,489.60 tax (7%)
$34,200.60 OTD
I obtained a free CarMax appraisal of my trade-in which ended up being $2000 above the dealer's initial offer. I recommend everyone get your free 20-minute CarMax appraisal if you have a trade-in. After the dealer matched the CarMax offer and 2 hours of negotiating, we're more than happy to have gotten our EX-L R/N in the color we wanted which is in short supply (slate green/olive interior.)
Time to shop around for the Honda Care policy...... and of course, get my accessories off Ebay.
2010 EX-L RES/NAV
$32,274 (including destination, but excluding license, tax, doc fees). No BS fees, for an OTD for just under $36K
Got it from Honda Sunnyvale (in the Bay Area).
Emailed around a few places; this was the best price, though others said they might be able to match; given that and it seemed close to the lows others had got, I thought I'd give my business to them, since they came straight out with an offer. They were easy to deal with , so would recommend to others in bay area.
Thanks to all on these boards for their help.
If it's any consolation for being a minivan mum, I'm now a minivan dad and I traded in my old BMW convertible.
Thanks for your time. Need some guidance here.
Looking for EX-L NORES NO NAV
If the invoice price, Edumunds is saying $30,000+ for EXL, Isn't invoice price, the dealer pays to Honda to get the van ?
How come some folks are saying they paid 29,000+ for EX-L and in some cases fully loaded ? Even if it is not out-the-door (OTD) price, it is still below than invoice price, I am confused.
How do we find what is reasonably good price for EX-L so I can create a list of prices offered in my area and compare them against this reasonably-good-price ?
Can some one explain the 1500 cash back vs taking loan from Honda (not dealer) ?
-Narahari
Just email 6 to 10 dealers within 100 miles. Ask for their best price. You will quickly learn who will sell for less. And there is always someone who will.
Could you please let me know the central nj dealer name who gave you the price for EX and EX-L? I am in central NJ and want to get the same deal. Thanks for the help.
This is what I am getting in Atlanta
OTD lowest I have is 30255 and 30344 for EX-L (no RES or NAV)
OTD highest 33082.
Not sure if this is a good price or not. Not sure how some of our friends here are able to get 28,000+. If some folks can say how low prices they have paid so I can get an idea where to place myself.
-Narahari
Thx a lot.
35483 internet price
74 registration fee
398 doc/admin fee
1076.43 3% tax NC (I manually calculated the tax off the internet price + doc fee)
=======
37031.43
Is this a good deal? I'm going to test drive the car tomorrow and will ask about the special financing vs the 1500 incentive and also for some extras.
Other quotes I got from other dealerships on the EX-L no RES no Nav:
EX-L Dealership #2
OTD price of 31456.19
30074 base price
69 reg fee
399 doc fee
914.19 taxes
EX-L Dealership #3 - no breakdown
29375 base
30986.60 OTD
IT WORKS...Make sure they can see your checkbook in hand...
Let me know how it goes
Thiis was in the Boston area.
Freddy Lau at Hopkins Honda. They have a fair amount of inventory.
I agreed the price before, did a quick test drive to see if it was all OK.
It was easy very good transaction. The finance manager tried to upsell me on some stuff (but hey that's their job so I don't begrudge it), but it wasn't overly hard sale, and when he saw I wasn't biting, he didn't push it.
I took dealer financing at 3.9% because they matched what I was able to find from a 3rd party lender. I probably could have gotten a bit better rate, but I am not going to lose sleep over a point on a 5 year loan that I anticipate paying off early.
$281 a month (tax incuded) with $1085.00 at signing which composed of acquisition fee, DMV, and first month. 3 years 12K. Residual is $15723.00. Money factor was .00098.
This was in the suburban Philly area.
I contacted dealers around St. Louis and the lowest price is 29,000 for standard EX-L. It seems too high because I see so many people here bought it with a much lower price. Anyone likes to share lower price information?
Thanks.
Jane
Have you tried taking that price to another dealer and ask if they can beat it? I did that with the Touring quote and another dealer offered an addition $536 off the out the door price.
