I was thinking there has to be a way to bore out the 0 on the 300 to fit over the key hole, then place that entire thing right in the middle..
that would look cool huh?
Thanks..Mike

parts 64.45 labor 35.00. While i was there i had the oil changed and the tires rotated. And i noticed an ad for Borla exhaust for the PT cruiser up on there bulletin board. I ask the service manager and he said that they had installed over 80 on PT cruisers. I ask if they could install one on my M. So happens they could and they had one in stock an could do it right then while i waited. Wow i said how much? Parts labor and tax it came to 617.52 I had it done everything was finished in two hours an 20 minutes. The Borla sway bar oil change tire rotation I was impressed. And am very please with the Borla.
It has a nice throaty sound. It does not have the venturis. But i don't think i need them its not overly loud. Put about 40 miles on it today. Can't wait for this weekend. Will take a little road trip. The real test will come in the morning when the wife takes the car to work. Its her daily driver and I haven't said a thing about the new exhaust to her. She plays the stereo pretty loud. I will bet she won't even notice it.

The driver puts the key in the drivers door and holds it in the lock position.
The all auto-open feature will work when:
"Unlock" is held down on the key fob.
The driver puts the key in the drivers door and holds it in the unlock position.
I would have liked to see both on the 300... or at least the ability to turn the car off and then close the windows.

My 'blessing' included me going to the dealership, test driving it, trading my '99 300M in for a '01 300M and telling her to get a new car, since I got a new car.
I also told the dealer that if he gave me a good deal, he would have the sale on the Sebring.
It's not a 300, but I don't cringe when I have to drive it like I did with her '98 Grand Am...

Certainly not as powerful, it's a hoot to drive a smaller car with similiar characteristics... I can fit into tighter spaces, for instance.

PHASES78 - What is the word on that billet grille?

The car is loaded ($25,000 MSRP)and so far she is very happy with it after 10,000 miles.
I enjoy driving it occassionally, and think of it as a 7/8 scale 300M.
I secured it by a 10" piece of thin flat metal holding in place two screws which go through the trunk "carpet" and through the forward/front two Basslink feet with spacers and wing nuts. When I accelerate it should be held in place, and when I decelerate the back of the seat will stop it from going too far. If I drive with the seat down, I'll have to add another screw in back, I suppose.
Here are some of the highlights of the trip: Wolf Creek pass, Big Thompson canyon, Eisenhower tunnel, Vail pass, McClure pass, Red Mountain Pass (and it's two smaller brothers, Coal Bank and whatever the other one is). There was only one problem with all this -- weekend tourist traffic! At one point it was so bad we went only 17 miles in an hour and a half (highway 285 from Crow Hill to Conifer).
But I did manage to find one unobstructed stretch of twisty-turnies. There's a county road that goes from Drake to Estes Park through Glen Haven. I think it's called Devil's Gulch Road on the Estes Park side. Fourteen sweet miles with a maximum speed limit of 25 and no straights longer than a couple hundred yards. I had my brother and father with me instead of the wife and kid. They wanted a demonstration of the springs and tires. About half way through my dad cried "uncle!" It was entirely too much fun! He no longer shakes his head when he looks at my wide, wide tires. He understands.
As of yesterday, my 36k mile warranty is expired.

I removed the panel in front of the right front wheel this morning to get to the battery. It seems that the battery was held down, so I removed the top of the air box to remove the whole box to find where the battery was held down at.
Here is my problem. Is the air box held down just by the rubber gramlets being pushed in? So all I need to do is pull the air box out? For I put a screw driver in the holes in the side of the air box and I did not feel a screw(just rubber).
Can I reset the computor on top by disconnecting the the jumper negative line on the frame? Or I need to reset by the negative battery termanal?

i welded those holes shut, up on the fenders. the emblems are hung up in my bedroom, and 2 door handles are hung from the ceiling....;)
Just got back from hospital w/Linda, MY schweetie, who had a colonoscopy (...oooch..) with benefit of Magic drugs--hey, you wouldn't want a six foot hose snaked up without, would you? Fortunately, all is well no cancer, no anything--just colon. I was extremely concerned, as nurses were coming out, looking for family members of everyone ELSE in the waiting room. I thought they found something really bad, and somehow forgot about me. Thankfully, that wasn't the case--the REAL doctor just got there a bit late.
Linda and I have been married 31 years--32 this September 26th; and (..at the rsik of getting sappy....) I don't know what I'd do without her. We met in my last year of high school, and haver been together/known each other since then. With so many marriages these days ending in divorce, I am truly blessed. took the day off to take to the hospital--gorgeous outside: think I'll go give eMily a good bath! See youse all tonight in the chatroom.

color! When I had to choose, the inferno wasn't equipped with anything.
My next choice was white (really pretty I think, but again, did not have the
goodies I wanted). But "silvergirl" had it ALL! Good luck.
If you plan to attend, and did not receive it, please let me know.

trav check that out, coming into highway just shifting easy with autostick. kinda loud when its warmed up...but DEFINITELY a performance, plus with gears and a stroker motor, thats when a fire breathing exhaust liek this will come in handy
Scotian..sorry, but removing the trunk lock is a tad over my head..I was thinking about covering it up...
thanks..
Now I need to disconnect the battery to reset the EMU. Have we established that removing the "upper" negative battery post lug will accomplish this? I really don't want to take the tire off!
emblem placement suggestion---those of you with the side marker lights--maybe you could consider mounting the 300M emblem on the black area behind the rear window---or maybe even better, get ones like the one on the trunk which is a little larger and bolder and mount it behind the rear windows--would look great with the chrysler letters removed---anyone want to try it and take a photo so we can check it out?
