Sorry to post this here, but I couldn't find your e-mail address. Friends of mine won a CAR at Mohegan Sun a week ago this past Saturday! Took the $45,000 cash! I wasn't with them! I usually am. Nice, huh?

Washed and waxed my Platinum M this weekend. Immediately covered by pollen. Plus mucho work being done at my place of employ so all cars are covered with dust. But when it's clean and the sun is shining on it....Beeeeautiful. Still no problems to report after 23,000 miles. MPG seems to be improving a bit, too. Good thing as gas prices seem to be increasing 2-3 cents a day.

My hometown of Chicago is now number one. Although this isn't a game to be the leader.

side markers.. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT? IMHO, the M is beautiful as it is. i can understand some people modifying their cars to individual tastes but are these side markers functional?
now, don't flame me... i just love the M for it's original beauty. i can even deal with dual exhausts... but removing letters and adding this and that to distort it to anything other than a luxury sports car... well... i'll leave it at that.
Sleepy
Tell me what the dealer thinks of the clock face. I think mine thought I was nuts!
The side markers are functional, if you wire them up. They flash with the turn signal.
My side letters were removed because the clear plastic coating peeled off this winter and the chrome was corroding -- looked nasty. I wouldn't put the new ones back on unless I move to an appropriate climate. I do think it looks better with the letters.
i immediately went and LOOKED for vin numbers on my doors and my hood, I CAN'T find it.
the owner manaul states only the "dash" area. doesn't tell you where else you can find your VIN. anyone else knows where these numbers are suppose to be?????????
yes, it is federal offense. and i have heard what the dealer does is buy the car back from say.. another dealer if they had sold it to another dealer, or customer... but heck, i tell you, i just HOPE mary isn't one of the switcharoos.. .cuz they don't wanna even see me coming if that's the case!
my email isn't working guys, so please reply on here. thanx.
i just haven't been able to get my finger in there to pry it open and didn't want to put too much stress on the plastic.....
avalanche: if you shared my thought we'd be the same person
You mean the car my friends could have had at the casino or my new car? My new car can be seen by clicking on my name above and following the link there. The car on the turnstile at Mohegan Sun Casino was some kind of a Toyota SUV. My friends didn't want or need an SUV, so they opted for the cash instead. I'm not even sure how this works. The slots around the car on display are $1.00 machines. On the machine, it says that the jackpot total is $45,000. I don't know if this means that the car on display is always $45,000 or less or if it's worth more then $45,000 you pay the difference?? I never really studied those slots very carefully. A little too rich for my blood.

You crack me up. ;-))) I can just see you trying to take the clock area apart while the kids are climbing all over asking you what you are doing.\
"but years of self imposed mistakes taught me one thing "leave well enough alone whenever possible, if it ain't broken don't fix it and if it's broken, get a new one."

Isn't that something! I'm so mad I wasn't with them! Like I said above, this was the one area where they have the car on display near the food court. Yes, they are giving away a car a day in May. Is that just at these slots or is that some kind of drawing? I don't know. I'd take the money too. Don't need another car now! ;-) Glad everything is okay with your car.

deciding between a variety of cars and the 300M is it. Now, I
need help on two issues: 1. What's the inside poop on the 2002
300M? Any improvements, new designs, that might blow us
away? In other words, should I wait for the 2002's?
2. I can't seem to get the deal below $30K. Is it New York, is
it the dealers,....or gulp...is it wimpy me? Anyway, I saw a "demo"
with 7K, white, luxury group, chrome wheels, sunroof, 4 CD Disk
for $28K. Pretty sharp! Smelled new. Good deal or what????? Thanks.
When you buy your new baby (or even before) check out the new Chrysler 300M Enthusiasts Club web site at http://www.300mclub.org. We're planning a couple of meets in August. We'd love to have you as member.

Also, go read www.carbuyingtips.com for a ton of helpful information on researching and negotiating your best deal. It was a huge help to me. Hope this helps.

For that 7,000 miles I would require them to take $3,000 plus $.20 per mile off the price (which is what they'd charge you if you went over on a lease). If you do the calculations that would be about $3,400. Soooo...maybe that car would be a decent deal at around $25,000, but NO WAY would I pay $28 for that car.
I got my car for $250 over dealer cost, and others here have gotten similar deals. If you apply that to the car you're looking at, the net dealer cost (invoice less holdback and rebate) is around $27,600. Again, that's for a new car, not one with 7,000 miles on it.
Hope this helps.

I think that DC is allowing different regions to market different incentives, though, so it may vary from region to region.
One thing to consider before buying a demo is that the warranty is reduced not only by the number of miles on the car, but also by the number of months since the car was put in service. When you buy a new car, it's put in service when you buy it, but a demo was put in service at some earlier date. Ask the dealer for the date that this demo was put in service.
When I bought my new '00, another dealer had an almost identical (everything the same except it had 16" wheels instead of 17") demo with 5,000 miles and seven months of service on it. The lowest deal on the demo was only $800 less than the new car I bought, and I never regretted paying that $800 for those first 5,000 miles.
Also, a couple of days ago I posted about a new, shale green 01 with lux, 4CD, moonroof, side bags, that my dealer offered for $25900 because of some history that prevents it being sold as new. I asked the salesman to find out what exactly was/is wrong with it. He got back to me with a story about how it was "scratched all over" and had to be repainted. I looked over closely and there's something funky about the way the right rear tail light is fitting. Despite the very attractive price I'm going to stay away from it. It's non PHG anyhow.

since i heard this from a friend who was a salesperson at the dealer i bought my car from, i'm a bit worried...
any help here would be appreciated....
i'll give that clock face one more try...
Maybe, if you don't have Adobe Creator, I know PhotoShop will do it.
And if you don't have it... the prolific and astounding creative juice artist of a webmaster of the 300M club has PS and might be able to help : )
