Also the under the seat rear ducts. That is very interesting. With a little more length to them they could provide some decent air flow to the back seats. I also noticed my Anniv. Edition Rodeo has them, too.

Thanks

When the instructions told me to remove the entire front I was a little concerned, however the front came off very easily, cudos to the Axiom design team, and guess what? There's a huge truck bumper behind that fancy plastic. Very comforting.
The grill pieces are expanded stainless steel and mount behind the louvre slot with small brass screws which have to be screwed into the plastic, so care is required. I went down to the hardware store and got some #2 large pattern washers because I felt that the split washer and screw head weren't big enough to stop the grill from popping off. The kit installed fairly easily, not technically difficult, just a little time consuming.
HINT: Make sure that the expansion pattern on the grill pieces is oriented in the same direction.
The truck looks a little more edgy now, but way cool. Putting the front back on was just a easy as taking it off.
Also, what color is your ax? We have the blonde-grey and I showed my wife a piture of how it would look (from ebay) but she seemed skeptical.

If you scroll down the messages you will find 2 pics of a blue Ax with the kit installed. From the pics it looks good. My Ax is the Anthracite Gray. The inserts should go well with both my color and your Blonde Gray.

I'm not sure when I will be able to put mine on...we have had 18 days below freezing (most days in the teens) and my garage isn't big enough for me to work on the car and keep the door closed!!! so maybe the first signs of some warm weather and I'll install mine.
I'm still trying to decide if I should keep them all steel or paint the ones in the middle black (including ther 7th, to be mailed later piece)..it might give it and interesting look on my blonde-grey ax.
Thanks again for the feedback...

I also noticed that when it is really cold (15 F or below), the front shocks (or maybe springs) squeak when depressed. It sounds like driving a 1985 Chevy Caprice. It goes away after I drive for a few miles.
PS what size fuel injectors does the Ax use?

Air intake? Do a K&N drop in filter.

Check out the pictures of both vehicles (BTW, there are new pics of a black '03 Ax on Edmunds - it looks sharp).
I really like it so far. I've gotten 19mpg combined city and highway. Better than I expected.
Things I would change however are.....
Rear doors don't open very far....
When closing the sunroof, you have to press the switch twice
No automatic daylights (knew this going in)
The doors don't automatically lock once you get in and start the Axiom (my Olds Intrigue did this and my wife's minivan does that at a certain low speed). It may just be that I need to read the owners manual.
I would like to just depress the cruise button and leave it always on rather than have to turn it on and then adjust the cruise.
More storage cubbies. The cd changer in the armrest hogs the whole thing.
These are more minor than anything else and I found similar issues with just about everything else I looked at.
What sealed the deal for me is that these are unique, you don't see many of them, they pricing was great considering the sticker was nearly $30000, and the warranty.
The cruise control is great IMHO. I like to power it on, rather than have the control unit constantly being powered (and burn out quicker)
The moonroof is so you don't crush anyone's head in the roof

Is it just me or does the Isuzu roof rack (which wasn't installed on my Axiom) costs a lot? It seems that roof racks are pretty standard typicall on other vehicles and usually not very expensive. What are other options besides Isuzu's?

Check out Mike's website under "vendors". It's been a great help to me for after-market suppliers.
