Hey, I'm new to the site. Wanted to get some feedback on an a lease deal that I negotiated.
The car: Loaded Q50 AWD Premium w/ Tech and all. MSRP = $52K-$53K Monthly Payment: $480 per Month with $3,000 at signing. Lease Term: 39 Months @ 18,000 miles per year RV: 57% MF: 0.00022 Extra Miles: $0.10/miles pre-contract and $0.25/ per mile at end of lease.
Everything I've seen so far says this is a great deal. Can anyone comment? Also, I've heard about the "wear and tear" and "tire" insurance/coverage. Anyone know how much these are and if they're worth it?
Hi There – I live in Atlanta and will be going to a dealer this week to go over numbers for a Q50 RWD Premium lease (w/o nav). I currently have a Mazda 6 and KBB is saying my car can be traded-in for $6,000. I was wondering if I can use that $6,000 as MSD to negotiate a lower MF and hopefully put $0 down. Is this possible? Does Georgia allow for MSD (I know some states don’t have this program…)

Yes, you can use your trade equity for MSDs rather than as a cap cost reduction.
I'm not aware of any restrictions on using MSDs in Georgia. But, they do have a new "ad valorem" tax which increases the lease payment, as compared to other states.

Any way to approximate my monthly cost reduction with the MSD (assuming I can convert $6000 of equity to MSD). The deal I have for a Q50 Premium is:
MSRP: $40,455
Invoice: $37,839
Cap Cost: 38,486 (includes VPP pricing)
Term: 39 mo
10,000 miles / yr
MF: 0.000330 (based on June numbers)
RF 60% (based on June numbers)

I don't know what the MF deduct is for MSD with Infiniti - perhaps my co-host (who has leased Infinitis before) can jump in and assist.
However, using your numbers, I calculate a pre-tax payment of $415.52. The numbers are the same for July - 60% for 39/10 and .00033 for Q50 Premium RWD.

Hopefully not too silly a question but what do you guys think it would take to get a Q50S AWD or Q50S Hybrid AWD, both base/no packages, with VPP-D (invoice) pricing into the mid $300's per month without having to put any or say $3k down (either cap reduction or MSD)???? I was told by a dealer via email today that he thinks I should have no prob with getting in that range with VPP but made no mention of a down pmt.. Sorry if silly but thank you in advance, these forums are just such a great resource.

If you give us the MSRP and negotiated selling price plus lease terms, we can model a payment. I think it might take a substantial down payment to get a lease into the mid 300's on a Q50.
The G37, on the other hand, has some nice high residuals and I've seen payments under $300/mo.
Apologies for cluttering up the thread, unfortunately he wouldn't give me details on pricing yet as I am waiting a little bit to make the purchase, however he did indicate that there is supposedly no negotiations on VPP pricing. "the VPP price is the price". Is that true?

That is correct .. VPP is something like 1% below invoice, plus an admin fee. Can you do better on the open market? You can negotiate with a second Infiniti dealer....
Hi, I never try to negotiate a deal unless it's face to face. But today I just tried to see if a pushy salesman would bite. I asked him if he could come close to what I came up with, based on the the MF and RV provided here, and he said "I can tell you that information is incorrect, the MF is .0008 and residual is 52%. The lease is also for 39 months". He then proceeded to ask how many miles I planned to drive per year.
A couple of things seem suspicious to me about his response...
1) How could he tell me what MF and RV is without FIRST knowing what mileage I was looking for per year.
2) He also implied that Infiniti could not do a 36 month lease, only 39. Is that possible?
Does .0008 and 52% sound correct for a 39 month in NJ?
Many thanks, you have really helped greatly over the past few days Mod's.

Hi there - new to the site but love the content and advice so far. I'm looking for guidance on a recent Q50 offer I received from a dealer in MA. I think the price is too high but not sure if it's due to the MF, residual, or a combo of both:
Model I'm looking at is a Q50 AWD Sport with Nav, cargo, spare tire and all weather packages. MSRP totals $49,030 which I was able to validate on Infiniti's website. Lease terms are 39 months, 15K miles. Cap cost is $43,976 but doesn't include up front acquisition/registration/doc fees (they've currently asked for these up front along with the first month payment). Residual value of 51%, MF of 0.0008.
Monthly payment after taxes is $579 with $1,972 down. The $1,972 is just first month and fees as mentioned above. Additionally, if I enter into the lease, the dealer will let me out of my remaining 5 lease payments ($2,700) on my 2013 G37xS at no charge. This likely implies I have some built in equity in my current lease.
Residual seems way too low based on my past business with Infiniti. Are the July numbers just that bad?
Looking for residual and MF on 2014 Q50 hybrid premium for a 39 month term for 10k and 12k miles please. Also, is there any customer cash/loyalty incentives for current lessees? I'm coming up on the end of my G37 lease in August.

The numbers are correct... .00008 MF and 51% residual. With that, I get a pre-tax payment of $492/mo.. I'm guessing maybe they are adding something in to cover those lease payments.. Unless you are in a state that taxes the full price of the vehicle, rather than the payment.

Thanks for the quick response, but I'm having trouble following your math to get to the pre-tax payment of $492/mo. Can you check my calculations and let me know what I'm missing? I'm getting to a pre-tax figure of $541 as follows:
Monthly Finance = (Cap Cost + Residual) x MF = (43,976 + 25,005) x .0008 = $55
My sum of the two amounts gets me to $541 pre-tax per month. I calculated the $25,005 residual by taking 51% of the $49,030 MSRP. The $579 after tax payment I previously quoted is simply the $541 pre-tax figure with 7% sales tax added on.

My calculations are the same as yours .. I get $541.61 as the pre-tax amount and $579.53 after 7% tax is applied.
We will see what my co-host has to say about his number crunching .. it's possible we've both missed something in the cap cost number.

Thanks Michaell. I still think both prices are too high for that model and I can do better, but good to have a sanity check on the math either way. Seems like there's a larger gap between the residuals on the Infiniti Q50 and the BMW 3-series than there used to be between the Infiniti G37 and the BMW 3. It's strongly pushing me more towards BMW this time around from a value perspective, unless there's something else I'm missing here.

Hi. Any information on 2014 Q50 AWD S lease MF and RV for 24/36/39 month at 15,000 per year? TYVM!
At a base MF of .00033, you can only use 3 MSDs, which would drop the MF to .00003 (.0001 for each deposit). That will save around $18/mo..

Monthly Depreciation = (Cap Cost - Residual)/Term = (43,976 - 25,005)/39 = $486
