Could not find any 2014 with base options required. My deal on a 2015 428 X C. Msrp 55,150, Cap 52,700.
2.5k down, 566.pm (incl. 7% tax) + 800 acq. fee, 300 doc fee. 63% residual, .00129 MF, 10k, 36 month. With registration and first monthly payment 4.5k drive away.

Understand, down payment is not recommended and MF reduction possible through multiple deposits but need to keep monthly payments at the level above.

Hello all. I'm new to the forum and I have a couple of questions I'm wondering if you can help me with. Can I renegotiate the cap cost and monthly lease $ after ordering a car and putting down a deposit? The car is about a week away but I got a better offer from another dealer.

Also, I put down 2k deposit (for drive off) but it's 700 over what the other dealer quoted. How can I recoup this $700 from my current CA?

Does any of you have experience with this situation? Thanks.

You can try to re-negotiate, but I doubt you'll have any luck. You ordered a car to your specs, and now you want to go to another dealer? They obviously won't have the car you ordered. Are you going to order again?

I made a mistake. I didn't shop around, didn't do my homework and acted on impulse when ordered the car. The salesman did a good job persuading me into it but that doesn't mean that I should be paying $1k more vs. what the other dealer's offer for the exact same car. Yes, I'd have to order all over again if they don't budge but for $1k diff. I'll definitely consider it.

    With base MF of .00129, I get $646.44/mo pre-tax.

Ohio calculates the tax on the entire lease up front, so 6.5% of the $19,250 depreciation, or $1203.13. Would you be paying this up front or adding it to the cap cost?

Would like some advice on the pricing I received for a 2015 428i Gran a Coupe. With all my options MSRP: $57,025 and Invoice: $52,990. Price offered is $52,740.

What is the innovations credit for this vehicle?

Lease terms: 36 months, 10k miles/yr, 63% residual, MF= .00129, Cap Cost: 52,740, I pay title, tax, acquisition, and first pymt of about $1,900. Is this good?

    Thanks in advance!

Thank you in advance for the expert guidance provided on this forum to lease-newbies! This is looking to be my first lease, and I was wondering if it is a fair deal:

    2014 428i Coupe
MSRP after options and wheels: $55,370
    Terms: 36 mo. - 10k miles/year
Payments: $5,000 down + $600/mo. starting from the second month (including sales tax of 9.8% - base monthly is $546.58)

(I didn't ask for MF or residual value, but if it's necessary I could do that?)

    Thank you again!

Just added the enhanced usb option, so MSRP is now $57,525. Dealer offer is invoice of $53,445 less $650 less $750 innovations credit = $52,045. $0 cap reduction first payment $552.90 plus 9% tax. Does fair deal mean I can do better?

We don't recommend that you make a down payment on a lease - if the car is stolen or totaled you are out the money. Instead, use the cash for MSDs to lower your money factor.

    Numbers on the 2014 428i Coupe are .00129 and 61% for 36/10.

Thank you, Michaell. The negotiated selling price is $50,794.

Your advice regarding down payments is much appreciated. I was wondering if it is still applicable if the car comes with gap insurance?

    Thanks again!

Think I just locked a pretty solid deal. 428GC MSRP of $51,500 with purchase price of $45,350 inclusive of un4gettable credit. With $3500 in SD got a monthly of $439 before tax ($479 with tax) for 36 mos/10k

Ah, that makes sense. The $5,000 included the first month's payment, as well as all applicable initial fees, but an MSD instead does make a lot of economic sense.

Assuming I utilize all seven MSD at $600 (I believe this would be $4200 in MSD + fees for my initial payment), and then stick with the $600 incl. tax for 36 months, would this be a fair deal with my numbers below? Thank you again.

You don't want to negotiate based on the payment; you want to negotiate the best selling price. With the MSRP and selling price, and using .00080 as the reduced MF, I get a pre-tax payment of $540.39/mo for 36 months.

9.8% tax takes the payment to $593.34/mo.

I've been reading the MF is .00129. I received a quote from a dealer today and the total rate is .00139. This is the breakdown on the dealer disclosure that was sent to me:

    Retention Rate 0.00129
    Reserve Rate 0.00010
    Disclosed Rate 0.00139

Is this correct or is the dealer adding additional profit into the lease rate?

    Thanks,

    AJ

Anything above the base rate of .00129 is profit for the dealer. They can call it whatever they want, but that's the facts.

Same numbers for all three models. 32 month is the special term for the 2014 convertible, this month.

is this program still avaliable ?? what I mean is the 32 month program ?

32 month program is available in October ... 64% for 32/15 and .00129 MF.

No innovations credit for 2014 4-series convertibles.

    Thank you mitchaell !!

Now here is what I got so far from the dealer

    Msrp 58120
    Residual 63%
    MF 0.00129

    Couple of questions:

First - Working on discounting the car... ? How much % wise should i be going for ?

Second - sales man is giving me a total price of 62,820 out the door ? So i ask for a break down:

Here what he told me 58,120 plus 689 dealer fee, plus 350 tag, plus 169 title, plus other stuff 5.50, plus 3487 in taxes....?????

I am fine with all the charges but why doni have to pay taxes on the msrp ? And then taxes on the monthly payment ? I am confuse can someone help me... Thank you !!!

1 - 5-7% off sticker before incentives is a good target price

2 - So far as I know, there are four states - IL, MD, GA and TX - that tax the entire selling price. The tax can either be paid up front or it can be rolled into the cap cost.

Need help evaluating a lease deal in New Jersey on a 2015 428xi convertible with Black Metallic, Cold Weather Package, Driver Assistance, Premium, Navigation, Harman Sound, Enhanced Bluetooth Here are the particulars:

    MSRP: $59,975
    Invoice: $55,645 (I think)
Selling Price: Below invoice - don't have the exact number at the moment
    39 Months, 12,000 miles, MF: .00129, Residual %: .6
At signing (all fees plus 1st payment): $2202
    PAYMENT: $599/month

Also - the dealer accepts multiple security deposits. What should I expect in terms of a decrease in payment?

    Thank you!

The money factor is .00130 this month.

With invoice as the selling price, I get a payment of $623.mo., so your $599 looks really good.

Thank you so much! Would you happen to have the residual for a 2015 428i xdrive coupe as well?  39 months, 12k. I'm assuming the MF would still be .00130, right? Thanks again

I need some help, i just got in a 2013 C250 Coupe October 25th and I want to get out of it, bought it for 28,9 and came out with the total being financed as 32,9. Mo. Payment 509. Can I get out of this car? I want to get into a 428i, with tech and msport pacckages ideally under 550 a month? I dont care how many months I have to lease but I want out of this car. My first payment is about a month away.

And also if I did a lease would I have to tack on the taxes I'm upside down in even though I haven't paid a dime for the car yet, because that would completely make me upside down.

Can anyone provide an update on the current lease terms for a 2015 428iGC with 10k annual miles?

The dealer I'm speaking with says that in November the lease is now 39 months with a 62% residual and could not email me the MF. Seems strange!? Last month I was told it was 36 month term, 63% residual and a .00129 MF.

    Thanks in advance...AJ

MF this month is .00130 and 39/10 residual is 62%.

I suspect they don't want to share the MF as they will inflate it for extra profit.

Head over to the "Real World Trade in Values" discussion for an honest assessment of your current car. If the taxes were added to the loan you will be responsible for them should you decide to trade.

What is so wrong with the MB that you want to get rid of it after only 2 weeks?

Base MF is .00130 and 39/15 residual is 58%. Using the $50,200 MSRP and net cap of $47,892, I get a pre-tax payment of $581.55.

Dealer seems to be inflating the MF on you. Have them check their math.

Thank you Michaell, I forgot to say that he is quoting me 0.00130 MF and 59% residual. Also he is charging me a 389$ document fee.
How are you calculating 581.55? can you share your formula so when I write him back I can explain or know how he is off? Where is this formula? when I plug these numbers into edmunds lease calculator I get a monthly fee of 647 tax included.
Very much appreciate your time into answering all these people's (including mine) questions.

I've built my own spreadsheet ... it's nothing more complicated than 4th grade math.

The net cap is the total cost + acquisition fee + license/tag/reg + tax, since you indicated that all of those were being rolled into the lease.

My number is also pre-tax, since I don't know where you live and what the tax rate (or obligation) is.
