As these posts I finally read
I realize we are a rare breed,
We all love our cars small
and sometimes even big and tall,
'long as they can take a corner at high speed!

that's an ACTUAL Canadian Honda Civic commercial

*insert lame Canadian jokes here*

but of course the add-on bumble bee sound tops it all off :-D
• protege_fanprotege_fan Member Posts: 2,405
You should hear the radio ads :(

"Thank you for making Canada a Civic-Nation"

Arrrrgghhhhhh!!!!
• mdaffronmdaffron Member Posts: 4,421
... a "civictatorship?" Those kind of actions usually are preludes to war. At least those with insight say so. All I can say as you face this odyssey is, you non-civic people need to stay in one accord as you pilot your way toward populating your provinces with Proteges.

I think there was an element that you left out. I can't remember what it was though.

And I just couldn't figure out a way to get their little sport-ute into the paragragh.

I guess we'll just have to wait and SEE OUR V-tech engines find some other way into normal conversation.

Poor. I know. Pass the corn.

Its possible they're distant relatives - mine isn't exactly the most common lastname in India ;)

Their discrimination is an abomination to the American culture!

Rule 21.4b(c.2)Q: Anyone who drives a Protege is certainly not of the stature to be a member of Augusta National Golf Club and shall never be considered for membership.

I just can't believe this. In this day and age, that I, a poor white boy, can't join a simple golf club. I'm outraged.

I'm on my way there now. They will open up the membership to all!

• mazdafunmazdafun Member Posts: 2,329
Big deal. I don't want to associate with the likes of them anyway. If they're getting ANY tax dollars, then we should revoke that money and any back-money with interest.

I can't believe that kind of BS is still going on these days.

>>>For those of you researching the Sorento, all you have to do is read the positive reviews here and at all the major auto review web sites to know that this is a great vechicle at an outstanding price. <<<

but none of Kia's products have impressed me so far. I may look at the sorento once and find out.

The car in question is yet another dreary 4x4 from some godforsaken industrial conglomerate in the Far East. This one?s a Kia and in exchange for £18,000 you get nothing worth writing home about.

This is not slow, like a Citroën 2CV or a dustbin lorry; sometimes there?s so little power you don?t move at all. No, really. At one point I made an uphill left turn in second gear and even with my foot mashed into the bri-nylon carpet, I ground to a noisy standstill.

You should also check out test drives from this automotive TV show called Top Gear. It's produced by the BBC I believe and they DRIVE the cars for real - on tracks, at full speed, do 360s, abuse them and report on their drives better than C+D.

Here are some quotes:

It was a BMW M3 convertible with the optional paddle shift gearbox, and I hated it. Indeed, I’m hard pressed to think of a worse way to spend nearly £50,000. I’d rather give it to the government, or take my family and friends on an all expenses paid trip to Tel Aviv.

Jaguar XKR
God it's fast - if this car were a murderer it would slide a stiletto into the back of your neck and be gone before you’d hit the ground

Lotus Elise
With the new model, the engineers changed the suspension and fitted narrower front tyres so that now it behaves just like a Golf

Saab 9-3
In the past, Saabs have had a distinctive look with their wraparound windscreens and enormous bumpers. But this new 9-3 is as obtrusive as Heather McCartney’s prosthetic leg

I doubt any North American journalists would have the guts to do similar car reviews.

About the BMW M3 SMG (I assume) absolutely destroys all credibility they could ever hope to have laid claim to. Sorry.

(and no, that doesn't mean that I'm saying the Kia Sorento is a great vehicle!)

I am going to kick your behind.

Why didn't you tell me your mom was coming to Chicago?? I would have been happy to meet up with her and show her around a little bit.

And why the heck didn't you come with her?!?!?
• dinu01dinu01 Member Posts: 2,586
Well I work Saturday, so I had to stay put. But I have to wait for the pics - she told me it's beautiful so that got me a little interested in going (eventually). The problem with me is time off from work. I work only 20+ hrs/wkm but during 4 days and while the job that I have is great, they're REALLY stiff as far as time off goes.

I'll let you know.

But I think it's equally if not more mysterious that a "loose contact" would magically heal itself and stay fine for a year after this so-called outage ... keeping in mind that according to y'all in the chase car, the light was completely out for the entire four hours and hundreds of miles that day ... and now it doesn't even flicker? Sound a little weird to you, O One Who Claims 20/20 Leaf Vision at 200 Yards Yet Who Can't See When Her Windows are Open at a Car Wash?

Pa.

[Sorry about the spelling. I just know the words by sound and guess at the spelling.]

My mother-in-law makes a mean sarmale.
• dinu01dinu01 Member Posts: 2,586
HE HE :) That's so cool! I never heard anyone else that wasn't Romanian speak (eh, type) RO before. Pretty impressed. RO is pretty hard to learn. You're doing really well!

Oh and a quick tip: "Sarut Mina" is for ladies - it literally means "I kiss your hand".

So "Salut" is better for guys.

Ciao!
Dinu
• manavimanavi Member Posts: 150
Romanian actually isn't that hard to learn if you have a background in Spanish. Many of the words are similar or have the same root.

Like "Mina" and "Mano" for hand.

Are you in Romania?
