heading to dealership - was quoted 21,695....leasing for 250 a month with 2000 down....buy back at 13,900....should i hold off? all taxes and fees included in that 250

Not enough information ... what trim level? Lease term and miles per year? MSRP?

I was wondering if the honda.com lease deal on a 2014 Accord sedan LX CVT is good or if it's possible to do better? They're advertising $240 a month for 35m, $0 down, $0 deposit, $0 1st month. Total payments of $8,400.00. I've never leased a car before so it's been difficult to wrap my brain around all the variables that go into it. I've also looked into buying a 2015 CR-V, but now I'm wondering if I should lease something cheaper for now and then reevaluate a purchase down the line. I'd also be interested in a sport model if the lease wasn't much more.

Would the deal look something like this (I'm in NY) and would this be good?

    $8,400 + $619.50 tax + $290 DMV & Doc + dealer fee?? = $265 a month?

The math to calculate a lease is not that difficult.

There are four numbers used to calculate - two of them are fixed (MSRP and residual percentage) and two are variable (selling price and money factor).

Any national or regional deal is just OK - with good negotiation, you should be able to do better.

The MF for the 2014 Accord in NY is .00011 and there is $1500 lease cash available - subtract this from the best negotiated price.

The 36/15 residual for the 2014 Accord LX is 52% - add 2% for 12K miles.

If you can provide us with the MSRP and selling price, we can model a payment for you.

MSRP is $23,575.00 and I'd guess a selling price of around 19,500. I could do 10k miles if available. I'd appreciate seeing how to calculate it. Also, any bogus fees to keep on eye out for?

With the MSRP and selling price as noted above, the 36/12 lease payment, before tax, is $191.59/mo. $185.06/mo for 36/10.

Lots of lease calculators on the web .. I built my own spreadsheet. Nothing more complicated than 4th grade math.

    .00011 and $1500 lease cash.

53% for 36/12. No 10K programs available from Honda.

If you are a parent of young children (at least one under 12 years old) who owns a Honda Accord (2014 or 2015), a reporter would like for you to fill out a survey, due by December 22, 2014, for use in a print publication. Click here for the survey http://tinyurl.com/o8uzder

kyfdx - Could you please advise on MF, Residual, and lease cash, etc. on a 2014 CR-V LX 2WD? The very base model. Thanks so much, looking to head in after work today. Thanks again.

Can you please re-post in the CR-V Lease Questions forum? That way, everyone will benefit without having to search.

    Thanks!

Guys there is only one car in the state of Cali the way I want it equipped. (Accord Coupe 6-speed). They won't dealer trade with my usual deaer. Do you think today (Christmas Eve) or this weekend would be a better time to go in and try to work out a deal.

As you close in on the end of the year, the dealer may be more willing to work to your price.
