Seems weird about the window sticker... but, how do you drive the car without a temporary tag? (and, why couldn't they make a copy of the window sticker?)
I have got a Honda Crv ex l for 350 no down or any extra charges, just first month pay. The price the dealer gave is 27500 + 1500 on destination charges in NJ. Mf .00039, residual 59% it doesn't have nav or other fancy stuffs... Please let me know if this is good , I believe the price can be reduced by another 2k. Any help will be appreciated

59% is the residual for 36mo and 12k miles per year, EX-L 4WD, and the base MF is indeed .00039.
What is the MSRP? With that, we can model the payment.
Can someone tell me if this is a good deal....I am trying to get a CRV lease but am obviously not trying to spend a ton of money. I want the ex-l because of the AWD. My local dealership told me with $1000 down it would be about 339 plus taxes and fees a month. Does that sound good or do you think I could get better? I would prefer to stay around the 300 range if possible. I don't know the actual MSRP for the car- but their website has all the ex-l at $29,700. Any thoughts would be great. I am debating between a cvr and a rogue, but Nissan isn't offering as low of a deal. Thanks!

Hi I am looking to lease CRV EXL with navi 10K miles and 36 months. I got MF at .00029 and 59% residual. First payment is $1431 - $315 per month and NY tax and plates.
Can you please tell me if this is a good deal, I am leasing for the first time and have been reading this forum in detail.
Hello, could you provide the MF and Residual for an EX-L 2wd & awd? I'm located in Northern California (San Francisco, Bay Area).
Also, my lease is up on my 2011 pilot this month and unfortunately I'm 10,000 miles over my contract at an overage rate of .20 per mile. My payoff amount is $20,370.00 is there away to determine whether or not a dealer would eat the difference if i leased another Honda or does it make any difference who i lease a new car from since it is my understanding that the leased cars go back to Honda Finance anyways? Does it more to do with what the street value of the pilot with this mileage compared to the payoff to Honda?

I show .00039 MF and 59% residual (assuming 4WD?). I notice that NYS sometimes has some different terms, but it looks like you are in the right ballpark. What is your MSRP and selling price?

36/15 for EX-L AWD is 57%. Add 2% for 12K and 3% for 10K. Subtract 1% for FWD.

You are sort of correct - in a trade situation, the Pilot will be worth x dollars to a dealer - that number then tells you if you have positive equity or negative equity based on the payoff amount. A Honda dealer is more likely to give you a higher trade value.
@calbears1, I had a PM exchange just yesterday with a 2011 Honda Pilot owner in Vermont who was 10,000 miles over on his lease. It sounds like he's getting a great deal on a purchase of a new Honda - but another Pilot, not a CR-V. Not sure why the dealer appears to be eating his miles; maybe there's some hood money on purchasing (that may not be available for the CR-V), plus the dealer probably figures there's plenty of profit in reselling the 2011 Pilot.

Its an AWD. The selling price is 29,500 and MSRP is 31450. Do you think its a good deal?
Huge thanks to everyone who's posted their lease offers. They are very helpful when speaking to these dealers.
Received several quotes on the CRV EXL w/RES (rear dvd player) AWD (MRSP $30,650) in Upstate NY. The best quote I received was $309 down, $309 per month all in on a 3/36 lease. This seems to be very strong based on the other quotes received. What do you guys think?
Thanks Stever and Michaell for your feedback, much appreciated. Yes the payoff is 19,642 and if i use the trade-in range on kkb for a pilot in good condition with 55k miles, kkb lists the trade-in value at $21,500 to $22,600. Not sure what the dealers use for trade-in values. BTW- I called Honda Finance and they give the lessee a 10 day grace period from the contract lease end date to turn in the vehicle.
Dealers are like consumers - all over the map. Some go strictly by auction prices, other use Galves or another industry "blue book" (or they'll compare several books and use the smallest price). Or they'll just use their own sense of what sells in their local market.
Don't be shocked if they lowball your trade and their analysis of its condition may not meet your definition of "good".

If you haven't done so already, head on over to the "Real World Trade in Value" discussion and ask qbrozen what he pegs the value as. I used his information, along with KBB and Edmunds, to determine the value of my daughter's MINI when we traded it in earlier this year. Got the high number from the dealer - of course, she was buying a new MINI and we made sure the car was in excellent shape - best $50 detail I ever spent.
@ Michaell, Thanks again. I didn't know that forum existed, i will check it out. Excellent advice on getting the car detailed to get top dollar trade-in. Thanks!! I will be getting a MINI in coming months for my son who just turned 16 .

ok. Now I have the prices for both EX and EX-L ( no navigation or rear entertainment system).
EX : MSRP = 27300 . Dealer's price = 23690.
EX-L : MSRP = 29950 . Dealer's price = 26845.
I'm leaning towards the EX-L because I felt that the interiors were a lot better. Is the price good for the EX-L ?
Thanks.
EXL NAVI AWD. 36 months with 12,000 miles per year.
2014 Honda CRV EXL NAVI AWD
MSRP $31,450
Invoice $29,683
Selling price $29,000 (includes $800 Lease Cash)
Money Factor .00068 with approved credit
Residual value is $18,241.00
payment 359.00 per month for 35 months.
$0 due at signing
In North Carolina. If the dealer is highly motivated to meet his quota for this month I can probably squeeze another $750-$500 off the selling price and finalized the paperwork to take delivery Thursday the 31st.
I may ask them to rework the numbers. Pay the upfront fees (first month payment, registration fee, and document/admin fee) but $0 down. The only thing I'm not sure on is the money factor (`1.632% APR). What you guys think, good deal or no?

This thread is a huge help for me to negotiate the price! Feel thankful and want to put in my experience.
When I asked for the quote, I went directly with out door price with all fees considered, which is also on my contract for what I will be paying: crv awd, ex basic, 12000 miles/year for 0 down, 295/month for 35 months. Oil change and tire rotation for 36 months(got their maintanece package).
I'm confused at the calculation @ Michaell's. Should I be concerned and check for other numbers on the contract to be sure of the deal? I don't plan to buy at the end of lease.
Cheers

Also note that in NY the tax for the entire lease is calculated up front and either paid for at inception or added into the net cap cost.
Which is also true in TX, and yet another reason why I won't be leasing a car.
Say you pay $225 a month for 36 months on a lease, in a state which only taxes the lease payment. At a sales tax rate of 6.25%, you are going to pay (225 * 36 * .0625) $506.25 in sales tax over the course of the lease.
Here in Texas, you pay sales tax on the entire amount of the car (22,000 * .0625) $1,375. The difference is $868.75, a not insignificant amount.
And get this: at the end of the lease, if you choose to buy the car, you will have to pay sales tax (again!) on the remaining value. Why? The car never belonged to you, it belonged to the leasing company, they just passed through the cost of the sales tax which they had to pay to the state up front.
At least in NY, you are only paying the tax on total payments, not on the selling price.. It's collected upfront (like NJ and Ohio), but it's not onerous, like Texas, Georgia, Illinois and a few others.
